PULP Comics and Games

Founds some comics in a house I had purchased and didn't know anything about comics. Patrick is a bulk of knowledge when it comes to comics. We made a deal on the comics I had but the information he gave me was priceless. Definitely will go here again.

Very impressive selection. I found virtually every back issue on a title I’d been looking for, and they were very reasonably priced. Also, exceptionally friendly staff.

My Grandson wanted to stop by here and asked me to go with. I was really impressed with their selection and everything was well organized. It was fun!!

Awesome shop with wonderful customer service. They have a great selection of comic books and collectables for a variety of budgets. My four year old came with his first birthday money to make his first purchase, and not only did he find a Batmobile, staff members took the time to find an affordable Batman to go inside!

Maaan, I've been going to comic shops my whole life. I've seen the great ones and the not so great. This place has been nothing but helpful, knowledgeable, and fun. 100%, my highest recommendation.

Fun comic shop. Lots, and I mean thousands of $1.00 comics. Plenty of deals to be found! Great selection of cards and games too. Plus, game nights are profoundly fun! Great store. Worth a trip to check it out!

It was such an amazing experience for our D&D group! The staff were all amazing! Very kind, very helpful, and exceptionally accommodating to our group! We will definitely be bringing our group back here for all of our future adventures.

Love this store! If I could spend my entire paycheck at this place (Patrick and Corey would love that) I would. They all your geeky needs from board games, to rpgs, to figures and minis! The staff is super friendly and I've become good friends with some of them. Would highly recommend

I really enjoyed this shop, very patient staff and kind customers! I was looking for a specific item which unfortunately they did not have. Ended up buying something else that works for what I need after a customer suggested it and some comics for my son. Tons of $1 comics in this store and a good variety of figurines.

Great place to play magic. The staff are very inviting and extremely knowledgeable. They are always willing to talk to you about magic or comics or whatever else you're in to. Just a great place to be!

Also Big Xmas shops there so that's an added bonus!

My boyfriend and I are Mankato transplants attending MSU. We were in search of an awesome Comic store to support in the area, and Pulp has been above and beyond that. The customer service is always 10/10. Employees and the owner are so super friendly and helpful at finding what we are looking for. Prices are super reasonable, and I can always find a gift for just about anywhere here. Their loyalty program is awesome and keeps us coming back. This is by far one of my favorite comic stores I’ve ever been in, and I’m so grateful that it’s so close to home. The dollar book section in the back is the absolute best, and there are always plenty of gems to find. We love you Pulp!! :) <3

On a side note, COVID procedures have been great. All employees have always been masked and there is plenty of space to spread out and browse.

Patrick, the owner, listens and knows his stuff. The shop is clean, well maintained, and has a decent selection for its size. Plenty of space to congregate in a social distancing way. It's worth visiting and feeding your inner nerd.

Having recently been encouraged by a fellow writer friend to get into comics, I decided to see what Mankato might offer, if anything.

OMG! Well, lucky me, I found the best comic shop ever on my first outing... now I want to stay a few more days just so I can come back and load up my carry-on luggage.

Double Play's most recent location is hands down the best they've ever had. Most notable the dramatic increase in size. The building itself is super cool, and it just really nice to have room to grow. Having a separate play area from merchandise is also nice. I always have a little awkward perusing mini figures and going around tables of players deep in a dungeon they totally are going to die in.

The staff are always cool too. Super knowledgeable, at least knowing enough to get me in the right direction.

If you ever have time to kill this is an awesome place to do it. You never know when you might find something new that you fall in love with.
