Mountain View Chalet

My wife and I really enjoy dining at this establishment. Extremely helpful friendly people with great service, excellent food, and overall a wonderful welcoming atmosphere. We tried to eat here as often as we can.

Mountain View Chalet is one of my all time favorite restaurants, for many years-am a frequent diner. Owners Jimmy and Demos are fantastic. Delicious food, scrumptious desserts and full bar menu. Service is excellent. Restaurant offers Lunch, Dinner and 2 banquets rooms for special events. Located off of Rt78 Exit 11

What can I say, the food was amazing and so was the service! I would strongly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys both! If you like homemade meatloaf, this place is for you! I hardly give reviews after I eat at a great place with great food, but I had to leave one because something needs to be said about this place! Our waitress was very nice and pleasant and informative! The calamari was outstanding along with the entrees, salad, and dessert. I wish I could give this place a 6 star!

The Mountain View Chalet is absolutely fantastic. Demos and Jimmy treat their guests like family, and the food is superb.

I'm happy to share my experience here today. I had put together a luncheon for 6 ladies and as this seemed like a central meeting spot for all of us never having been here before I am so glad I made the decision to pick this restaurant. The atmosphere was absolutely wonderful when we walked in the door. The older gentleman at the hostess stand was very nice, as so was our server and the gentleman who brought us our bread. The food was wonderful the drinks were wonderful everybody had a good time we were there for 3 hours. Totally recommend it and I would love to thank that server again for doing the whole separate check thing I know it can be a pain but she was really attentive and we were very lucky to have her. We'll definitely go back in the future.

AMAZING FOOD! I really can't say more about the food and presentation. The lighting was bright but other then that it was great!

I had my baby shower at the Chalet. The service was amazing, they were attentive and very pleasant. The owners were so gracious and their restaurant is beautiful. I had the salmon with creamy dill sauce and it was flavorful and all around delicious. Lastly, the homemade desserts were phenomenal. All the gusts were very happy. Thank you for another great experience! <3

We were there for Thanksgiving the food the staff was so much more than expected big round tables were so nice we could talk and see each other ☺

This place exceeded all my expectations! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and guided us to try new food that we had never had! This place has the VERY best menu, at affordable prices!

An absolute favorite for thirty seven years. We have had countless celebrations both in the restaurant and the adjacent catering hall. It is ideal for weddings, showers, rehearsal dinners, and the list goes on. Had lunch today and it was, as always, outstanding. Jimmy and Demos make you feel like family, and it's always a pleasure to visit.
Addition 2023 Father's day. Same wonderful food, service, and atmosphere. It is indescribable fun when your wife and daughter get the giggles amongst great food, wine and dessert while the owner and staff laugh with you.
Whether it's a raucous night or a simple romantic evening, you gotta go here.

I attended a brunch bridal shower. The brunch buffet included an omelet station, mimosas, etc.
Food was delicious, and the staff was very attentive and personable. A very enjoyable event.

My husband and I just had dinner at the Chalet. Its was amazing! The host, the servers and the bus boy were so attentive and pleasant. The food matched the environment and service. We had the escargot, stuffed mushrooms, shrimp and scallops misto and the new wave surf and turf. Superb. I cannot suggest this place enough. Thank you to the owners!

Consistent service and food every time. Drinks arrive quickly and are well made, food is always great. I’ve never been disappointed with anything from dinner for 2, larger parties of 6 to 14, and we’ve also hosted events here.
P.S. Clams casino are a must.

Mountain view never disappoints the food is absolutely amazing we enjoy our dinner each and every time always hot and the service is great we usually get the same waitress I think she's Ramos daughter not 100% sure about that but she is great. Some of the meals are a little pricey but if the meal is good then the price is worth it. I've never been disappointed . I can tell when we have the same bartender Because our drinks are consistent you can tell when they change bartenders because the drinks taste different. Overall this is one of the best restaurants in Hunterdon County

We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception in the ballroom at Mountain View Chalet on 9/24/2022 and it far exceeded our expectations! We are still receiving compliments from our 62 guests about the outstanding experience! The cocktail hour was excellent and everyone especially enjoyed the shrimp cocktail, oysters, lamb chops, mozzarella and tomatoes, pigs in a blanket, etc! The pasta in vodka sauce was excellent and then came a fresh garden salad with a yummy dressing. For dinner, everyone was offered either prime rib, Chilean sea bass, vegetarian or a gluten free entree. The prime rib was prepared to each persons preference - rare, med rare, well. The potatoes and mixed vegetables that accompanied the dinner were also delicious. Many of our guests commented on the high level of service as everything was served timely and hot! The wedding cake and tray of cream puffs, carrot cake and cannoli’s on each table were delicious. The full service bar offered endless cocktails of choice. The breakfast for our 30 guests the next day in the same room was amazing … omelets to order with many choices of filling, the pancakes and French toast were the best I ever had - so light and fluffy! There was plenty of bacon, delicious potatoes, fresh fruit, muffins … etc.
Lastly, our utmost thanks and gratitude to Demos, Laura, Kathy and the other servers and bartenders for making our wedding spectacular!!
