The staff are friendly, and the store has a nice set up. There's a lot of books, school merchandise, and school supplies to choose from. Although some stuff is pricey, it's just a college thing.

One of the cashiers named Oltor Knox the Great stole several precious gems from me. Otherwise, a pleasant experience with great selection in the drink cooler.

Bought earbuds that didn't work, they refused to return or even exchange them.

Extremely overpriced textbooks. Rent from Amazon or Chegg. Only use them to figure out what textbooks you will need for your classes. They do have good apparel though such as hockey jerseys and other gear. Go elsewhere for school supplies as well, only positive thing is convenience. They might carry something that is specifically required for a class, and you won't really be able to find it elsewhere.

In all the styles of non-cotton Maverick hoodies I would gladly have bought, all they have are Extra-Small and Small sizes -- NO Medium, NO Large, NO Extra-Large, NO 2XL. Quite disappointing if you aren't a tiny person.

Most of their books are really overpriced compared to online book stores like amazon. If you're using your own money and not using the FAFSA book allowance (most students get $500 that they can use for books) shop for books online, you can save over 50 percent that way.

SOON TO BE GRADS PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW! This is where graduates go to pick up the medals for academic excellence. The employees do not care enough to give the correct medal. My sons order was placed for gown and medal and he picked it up. Our bad to assume that people who get paid to work are actually doing their jobs. His medal was 2 levels lower in status than he had placed. There were several people at graduation with this problem. It is a very big deal because photos are taken and when people work so hard, they deserve the correct recognition! If the University chooses to continue using this circus for something that is so important, I STRONGLY urge every person to check your order BEFORE you leave. Chances are it’s wrong.

I go to school at MSU- Mankato and I refuse to give my business to this Barnes & Noble. Although most staff seems welcoming, I have had a few “minor” issues, that were actually expensive but easily resolvable, and every time I spoke to someone who had the qualifications to fix it, they were rude. They avoided getting back to me via call, emails, and even in person so I couldn’t receive the refund through my financial aid, but as a gift card instead and when I finally got in contact with someone the “manager” belittled me in front of other customers. I even spoke to one of the publishers that sell to Barnes and Noble and they confirmed that it was “an easy fix. This has happened at other bookstores and if Barnes and Noble will call/leave a message, they could easily resolve it”. This manager was younger and I don’t know if he is just on a power trip or what, but I will not be returning.
