Trails through the prairie grasses are nice for a short stroll. The trails are not extensive. The lookout point over the lake is nice. They also have a small educational center. You would be hard pressed to spend more than an hour here

A little gem in our own backyard. Give me the nicest people on the trail, and the beauty of the prairie is stupendous. Make all your cares go away.

Stopped to check out the displays. Several exhibits to learn about the Mississippi and the natures of the area. Loved seeing how the Mississippi has changed. Also has a unique floor display. ... view of wildlife in their simulated underwater habitat.

What a great place! They even had living falcons, frogs, and snakes that we got to see at the Creepy Critters event.

Beautiful sand prairie.

They had a controlled burn of part of the prairie in April 2022. Hoping for a rejuvenation of the prairie, with all the subsequent rains we've had.

A beautiful place to take a walk! (It's almost always a little breezy here, so mosquitoes tend to be less pesky!)
