WV Physical Therapy

I will start this review by saying that it has been my honor to have Cindi Porter as my Physical Therapist off and on over the past few years. Cindi is by far one of the best Physical Therapists around. Cindi is compassionate, caring, gentle and is genuinely a very kind person. Cindi truly listens to her patients, not only by their words but also by the way their body reacts as well. Cindi is always so thorough at explaining what she thinks your treatment should be and why. Cindi is also very encouraging when progress is being made, she is also very encouraging if progress isn’t being made as fast as it should be. I highly recommend Cindi Porter as a Physical Therapist as well as the Physical Therapist staff at WV Physical Therapy

I’ve been going to WV PT for years. I first needed to prepare for bilateral knee surgery. Willem helped me do that. After surgery, others helped me get used to my new knees. Fast forward to this year, when a pinched nerve in my neck was causing persistent pins and needles in my arm. That’s when Patrick took over to help me overcome this with exercises to practice at home, and, more importantly, ways to see what I could do differently to lessen these debilitating feelings. He continues to work with me when my back is so lame I cannot do simple chores around the house.
WV PT is a welcoming, comforting place. Everyone knows you, everyone is friendly, everyone “knows your name.” The atmosphere is open and accepting. You can see patients working on steps or walking on a treadmill to regain strength in their arms and legs, or using this strange equipment that helps them with their balance or throwing huge balls against the walls. Everywhere you look, patients are being helped to get better. The entire area is open. Music plays. Employees joke with each other - and include the patients in their banter. Many great stories are exchanged, all while we recover from surgery or prepare for it, or just learn how to live with our aging bodies. The patients vary greatly in age but not in our desire to get better. Most enjoy going there, most enjoy being there. You can see it and feel it.
When a referral to a PT is needed, doctors used to ask or send us to their local PT. Now our doctors know before we ask (or request). The high standards of the owner, Willem, is well known. He and his staff are held in high esteem by their patients. We feel better at WV PT. Most importantly, we GET better at WV PT. I am thankful that WV PT is the place I was first sent. Now it is the place where I choose to be, where I feel at ease, and where I know I will get rid of the pain and get better.

My first experience with WV Physical Therapy was about 6 years ago when I brought my 97 year old mom to Willem for her chronic dizziness and balance issues. He was so patient and wonderful with her. I was so impressed! Now I've been going to WV Therapy for several years for my own various problems with great results. All of the therapists have been top notch - knowledgeable, compassionate, and attentive. I'm currently seeing Karin Tozier and she's wonderful. She listens carefully to what I say and adjusts my therapy accordingly. She challenges me but also keeps me in line when I overdo it. I've recommended WV to many people and will continue to do so.

I couldn’t be happier with Cindy. She is the best, most amazing, funny, humorous, easy on the eyes and listens to everything I have to say whether she wants to hear it or not. I would follow her were ever she goes. Cindy offers great advice and concern about my PT issues and collaborates with other physicians to help with my wellness and recovery. Her music library is fantastic.

Cindi, my incredible physical therapist, is a true inspiration. Her expertise and unwavering dedication have earned my complete trust. She not only helps heal my body, but also has an amazing taste in music that fills our sessions with motivation and positivity. Sometimes there's a good hurt, reminding me of the strength within me. With Cindi by my side, I know I am in the hands of someone who genuinely cares about my well-being. Thank you, Cindi, for being the beacon of inspiration in my journey towards recovery.

It has been a blessing for me to have found WV Physical Therapy and Patrick has been that blessing. Through 2 knee replacements, hip surgery and balance issues, Patrick has worked tirelessly to get my joints moving again.
I have been with Patrick off an on for 2 years through COVID, he has made a difference in my life. Along with his skills and compassion, there is the wonderful Intertainment that I enjoy. If it's been a rough week just walking in and seeing the staff can put a smile on your face.
The staff is amazing and helpful. In my book, Patrick is the Best.

I’ve been seeing Cindi Porter off and on for a number of years now- she is by far the best around at what she does, and by far the best at getting ME back on the road to wellness. She’s caring, extremely knowledgeable, and I love that she LISTENS to what I’m saying and feeling, and works with me to come up with a plan to get back on track. You couldn’t find a better therapist!!

I have been seeing Patrick for my foot/ankle and after going before to 3 other PT places, for other issues, I finally understand the importance of a great PT person. He's extremely knowledgeable and shares what is relevant. He goes to the exact places where my foot/ankle and leg hurt and works on those places without me having to always tell him where it hurts. How does he do that?? Skill and knowing his job. Plus, he's kind. I am very impressed. Thank you Patrick.
I also want to thank Josie. She is such a sweet person. Both have great attitudes. Josie, I know will learn a lot at WV P.T. and will be terrific where ever she goes from here.

WV Physical Therapy is different than any PT place I have been to over the couple years as I have tried to solve the foot pain that has been stopping me from running and being active in a way that is meaningful to me. Sean has been great to work with! What I think makes Sean and WV PT different is that when I go to PT I feel like I have a teammate on my side that is just as invested in helping me get better as I am. Sean actively listens to my feedback from each session, explains things in a way that I understand and adjusts our sessions as needed to keep me moving forward. While I am not totally out of the woods, I have been able to return to running shorter distances with consistency for the first time in 2.5 years and that is a huge win in my book!

Five stars for WV Physical Therapy! Karin was my therapist for 3 months. She treated me for knee, back, and neck issues. I am very satisfied with her care. She is knowledgeable, thorough, and very friendly. I highly recommend Karin and WV PT!

Cindi is an excellent therapist that I've been seeing for years for various issues. She is very knowledgeable and encouraging and we both enjoy a good laugh which makes the sessions more enjoyable (even though I think she really enjoys seeing how much pain I can withstand lol)... I would follow her wherever she happens to go (which luckily has not been too far away so far lol)...

I have been seeing Cyndi Porter at WV Physical Therapy for 3 years and it has been life changing. I had spent 6 years going to other practitioners trying to get answers and relief, and was ultimately and thankfully referred to Cyndi. She pinpointed all of my problems and has put me back on a path to being functional and pain free. She is incredible in her practice, knowledge, and craft and paired with her amazing personality there is simply no comparison. Thank you for the amazing work you do and for putting my Humpty Dumpty body back together again!

I have had the pleasure of working with Cindi Porter, PT, OCS to help treat severe Pelvic Dysfunction Disorder and she has been absolutely amazing. Therapy has been a game-changer and made a massive improvement in my life and health, and Cindi is so knowledgeable, warm, and caring. I see Sean for my PT for my shoulder, he's been great. It's nice to find someone that isn't totally 100% serious all the time, and makes you work the best you can while your there. . He's very informative, and always asks how everything has been going with my shoulder on the days I'm not at PT. He's got a great sence of humor, and I feel each visit I'm getting alot closer to getting better.

Cindi is an amazing Physical Therapist She has bern working with me and my stiff person syndrome for two years!! If it wasn’t for her total concern of my overall health I would be miserable!! I went for one thing and she keeps helping me with many!!! She has made my life more worth living!!

Patrick is amazing! He is extremely knowledgeable and broke things down so I knew what the issue was with my shoulder and how we could fix it. I loved his focus on strengthening and he tells the best jokes!! Highly recommend.

Karin has been my physical therapist over a few years. She treated me when I had both of my knees replaced and then for a pinch nerve in my neck and now is treating me for my hip injury. I consider myself fortunate to have her .

From the time you enter, you will be greeted by a friendly smile and a pleasant "Hello", from the office staff, from Wil the owner, and all the therapy staff. Working with Sean it is evident he is very knowledgable, caring, and professional. Also, Josie with her warm smile and 'can do' attitude is a tribute to the profession.

Sean is an outstanding therapist, his knowledge, professionalism, and encouragement has kept me motivated after having two total knee replacements in three months.
Josie has also assisted Sean in helping me, she is a great addition to the wonderful staff at WV.

Cameron watson was my physical therapist for what we thought was vertigo but may be menieres disease instead. My dizzy spells have not returned since he taught me exercises to do at home. He is one of the best, he listens to my concerns and we talk about my issues and he has great customer service skills. I recommend him 100%. If i need further physical therapy i want him as my physical therapist. Hes the best!!!
