Jumping Jupiter General Store

All these other reviews are spot on. I was on my way to Walmart and I saw this place. My tires were squealing as I hooked that right turn into their driveway because I almost passed it. I was greeted by the owners before I even went inside. I got my beer, ice, mallows, and a giant stack of firewood and was back at the campsite in a jiff. You don't find many places like this anymore! Long live Jumping Jupiters!

Such amazing owners! Very nice and helpful. They have cheap firewood, decent selection of craft beer and mix a six. They have guitars, drums , and keyboards you can play. They will borrow you a fishing pole if you don't have one. They also sell bait. Cheaper ice than the gas station. Literally right outside Governor Dodge state park and close to House on the Rock. Stop here and support local business.

It is rare these days to leave a store feeling better than when you arrived. The place is small, and there is a good selection of tackle, beer, firewood and other things you might need for camping. But the magic of this little store is not just about the stuff they sell. The owners are warm and friendly, and they truly care. I will be back for sure :)

The owners of this place were so kind and welcoming! Good beer selection and real close to gov dodge. As soon as I walked in they treated me like a old friend. Loved sharing some laughs and talking with them.

The owners of Jumping Jupiter are some of the sweetest humans you can hope to meet. While camping nearby at Gov. Dodge, my friend and I stopped in to grab some firewood but ended up hanging out with the owners for a good few hours and went back the next day to celebrate the 2017 solar eclipse with them. If you are in the area, be sure to stop by for a pack of beer (they have a solid selection) and good company.

Conveniently located minutes from Governor Dodge State Park. Perfect for last-minute camping supplies and firewood. Owners are also super friendly!

Our air mattress had a hole in It and they leant us gorilla tape to fix it. Just brought it back the next day. Bought all our ice and wood from them.
