Jimmy's Diner

Found this little gem while traveling through the area. The staff were attentive and friendly. It was cute to hear them chatting with customers who seem to be regulars.

My salad was good, with tender chicken pieces and lots of fresh tomatoes. I also ordered a small cup of chicken and dumplings that we both loved!

My husband's chicken was boasted and delicious!! He said "the skin was crispy and delicate and the meat was juicey". Oh...and the french fries were especially good too!!

Delicious! The burger my other half ordered was cooked medium rare just as he ordered . I ordered a blt , and they did not skimp on the nice thick cut bacon , and a nice thick tomato slice! The onion rings were perfectly sweet , definitely never frozen . We only wished we lived closer , we would eat here more often ! The waitress was wonderful and we loved that the owner was there to bring us to our table .

We honestly didn't know what to expect from Jimmy's, but we took a chance and I'm sure glad we did! It's a great little American dinner. I initially had their classic burger and fries (don't want to take risks on a new place) and it was really good. Cooked just the way I wanted, the staff was responsive, friendly, and non-intrusive. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience there.

I've been back several times now... it's our go-to spot for casual dining in Dodgeville. The chicken salad (pictured) is great and so are the skillets (also pictured) and come with great pancakes... I think they have vanilla added to them... really tasty! The service is good, the atmosphere is very casual, and the food tastes great... a good value for the money. All of my experiences there have been positive. The menu has a lot of variety (steaks and seafood, soups & salads, burgers and sandwiches, dinners, sides and desserts).

GO HERE! Ok, now that I got that out of the way... You know a place is good when you go there twice in a day. Breakfast was delicious. The cheese in that Meat Lover's omelette oozed out. So good. So I knew we were going back. It was just a question of when. But when I saw a Broasted Chicken option on the specials board, I was in. It was SO juicy and the breading was so light but flavorful. The chicken fell off the bones...ugh...so good. And bonus! The staff there is great as well.

Awesome little diner! We had the house sampler appetizer, soooo good! Philly, bacon cheeseburger, French dip and Reuben were excellent! We would definitely stop again next time we're here!

We ordered last night and loved it. I had the Greek salad and my girls had strawberry crepes and spaghetti. The food was fresh, nicely packaged (we ordered takeout as we were staying at the House on the Rock Inn) and reasonably priced. The staff was very nice too. If we return on a future vacation we will definitely order again.

Wonderful little dinner spot! So glad we stopped, portion sizes were way more than fair, the burgers where amazing! Real eggs omelettes and perfectly cooked bacon! Wonderful coffee and excellent service!

Looks like a cool place like a converted Hardee's. May have to check it out sometime. It was just a cool name and I dig the place.

Stopped in after a weekend camping and we were greeted by fast & friendly service and extremely tasty food. Good portion sizes too! Would recommend to anyone driving through the area!

Excellent .5lb mushroom swiss. Good fries, maybe needed some salt. Also condiment portions were great.

It's a mom and pop diner. It has a large menu with a large breakfast items to choose from. It delivers on being inexpensive typical diner food. It's nothing fancy. The service was great. The place was clean.

My parents used to own a cafe in a small town. The atmosphere here reminds me of my childhood. The owner personally greeted us each time we've eaten here. Great service.
