Dodgeville A&W

I don't go to A&w often. There's not many of them in Iowa left, but I was really happy to go here on my way through Wisconsin but highly recommend it had a big frosted glass mugs. The root beer was just amazing. The food was good too but just being able to go to a place like this again. Really was cool. They have the old school drive-ins but they also have a place inside where you can sit and eat if you want to get out of your car.

An adorable drive in restaurant. Coming here is like a little blast from the past. You enjoy food in the car. It's nice on a spring day. Bring the family and have lunch or dinner outside. It's very kid friendly. They serve burgers, cheese curds, fries, hot dogs, ice cream, etc. A classic old school fast food restaurant. Very inexpensive too! We had fun and liked the food.

Two nice people waited on me, the food came very quickly, and the burger was great. The meat was hot and the lettuce/tomato were cold and fresh. I was very impressed.

We had a great experience and the food was delicious. Mike was a great server and very personable. I'm so glad we chose to eat here on our way back to Iowa.

Best A&W food we've EVER had. The staff really have it down and are clearly a great team! Hat tip to the Manager and team! Food was also hot! We will be back when back in town!

Thrilled to find a real A&W drive-in!! This one seemed original. Like a lot of places, staffing was short, but we had pleasant, quick service with a smile. Even received a pup cup!! Root Beer Float was fantastic, just as I remembered from my childhood. I really hope this business can continue to survive the times. It was a highlight of our sight-seeing trip from Missouri!

I stopped for a quick bite after work, I was a little sad because they don't let car hop users get mugs unless you but them, but my server explain why that is and I understand it now! It's was a great place with great food!

The food was great and the staff were friendly, they seemed a bit short staffed for the amount of business they had at the time of my visit, which caused a little longer wait times but it's becoming the new norm. I don't hold anywhere responsible for lack of staff, since everywhere is lacking staff.

Brooklyn did such a good job taking out order and was so sweet to strike up a conversation after she saw our Texas plates! When the kitchen made a small mess up Jeremiah took care of us by getting it fixed and back out to us very quickly! Thank y'all so much!!

Traveling to and from IL to IA to see our college student, the Dodgeville A&W is always a planned stop. The burgers are fantastic and cheese curds delicious. Small town feel with extremely friendly employees really make this place a great stop for a bite. Stop and try the Dodgeville A&W!

This was a very good experience. A true tell of how much this guy wants his business to succeed. I nt believe they had been open long for the season yet because the one guy was doing all the jobs of 3-4 people. He told us the majority of his staff is high school students so he is short staffed until they are out of school. I hope u are less stressed and doing one of one jobs now that the kids are out of school! Good luck this season!!

This was a great treat. This particular location still embraces the old school vibe with the drive up ordering to the gals coming out with you meal prepared to make change with the old hip change makers. Great food and you can't ever go wrong with the root beer.

We stopped after visiting Governor Dodge State Park. There was a little confusion at first over how to order food. A lady eating outside on one of the picnic tables pointed us in the right direction. After that, the lady who took our order was very friendly and answered all of our questions. The food came out very fast, was hot, & to our order.

7pm on a Tuesday and they were busy! I ordered a dbl bacon cheeseburger on gluten free bun. It was delicious, and I didn't get sick! Friendly staff even though they were so busy.

All I can say is YUMMY!!! Nothing beats A & W root ever! Would have loved to have the huge frosted mug, but COVID has temporarily stopped indoor dining. Food was amazing, eating at the speaker nostalgic, service fast and friendly, and food as yummy. Too bad there aren't more A & W's and one closer to Roscoe, IL. A must stop.

This was seriously the best A&W I have had in my entire life. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. I can't stop thinking about going back to get more!

Went on a really busy day but they were very apologetic and accommodating with gift cards! Delicious food!

It is pure Americana. Nostalgia in a frosted mug. Drive in too.
