I have had the pleasure of staying twice this year. It is a great place to stay. Large rooms, and great balcony.

This place is really very nice, and shocking huge for the area! The rooms are great. The breakfast was a little weak, really could use some better ingredients and more choices but that's the only thing that wasn't ideal.

It’s very nice place for sure.
A little disappointed the sandbar was closed, and some of us get a little dirty traveling, difficult to get clean with the small soap and shampoo.
Got used to the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower I guess

This is seriously THE place to be in Norfolk!

Yes we were here for a wedding that was actually in Pierce...but it still

The pictures speak for themselves, but here are some details!

Hotel/Layout:
The entrance is perfect for the area, the Lodge feel and still very welcoming!

This place is BIG.
If you are handicapped stay by the front desk for easy accessibility to breakfast and the pool.
If you are not handicapped but don't like walking you will survive!

We stayed in the "deluxe" part which I believe another guest just told me was "The new part" either way it was fantastic! We were in the back of the building on the top floor and then in the back of the floor. Definitely a walk but worth it! (Also side parking over there with a door)

Front Desk/Manager
Upon arrival, we were greater and check in by the Manager! She was very informative and was able to answer my (many) questions! I had a personal matter that she was very helpful with and made us feel so very welcome. The rest of the staff were equally helpful and kind.

Breakfast: above and beyond what you would think for continental. Yet very fitting for the Lodge!

Rooms:
I should have asked to see other rooms for that I am sorry! We had an amazing room. The beds were as if clouds in the sky were hugging us..as you can see my son's feelings are the same. The rooms are big and spacious. The desk was extremely useful for work as well as a good size.
The bathroom has a sliding "barn door" so not have much for sound privacy, still sticks to the theme and does the job!

**The beds are very tall. My son used the ottoman for a stool. He loved it with no complaints just an FYI

Pool:
Yes. Just YES. The pool is through a door on the other side of the fireplace at the front desk
This is the perfect example of how a pool should look, feel and be in a Lodge. The details on the railing can keep you occupied for days. Yes, those are patios INDOORS. The bottom floors just have tables outside the rooms but it works well if you have kids! The Hot tub over there in the corner is big enough to not have to be too close to others and small enough to have a conversation without being close to others. When we stayed there happened to be quite a bit of kids there also. This worked well with my 8-year-old. Even though this pool seems "basic" they made it fun! All the seating and tables were great and taken care of. They do have towels for you at the pool so no need to bring down room towels. Not one person listened to the no food/drinks policy. I didn't even notice it on the door going into the pool until our second time there. All of us did pick up after ourselves and didn't spill anything and of course, didn't have glass.

Sandbar Grill
The restaurant is of course on the exact opposite side from where we were staying. So after a long walk and already tired from the pool. From the hotel to the restaurant/bar you walk through a "greenhouse" area and it's wonderful! We ordered WAY more food than we could eat. After getting dessert first we decided to get the rest to go and eat in the room!
Raspberry cheesecake: great! My son of course took it after "trying a bite"
Vanilla ice cream: we are from Texas AND live in the town of Blue Bell Ice Cream(but this was great, not sure of the brand)
Nachos: MASSIVE order WONDERFUL taste
Cesar Salad: again MASSIVE order also wonderful!
Quesadilla: just cheese for the kiddo but it was made with these wonderful possibly handmade? Tortillas! (Also large)

Cleaning persons:
The rooms were pristine! I add this part for a reason. I didn't take pictures when we first walked in the room(kiddo on the bed) so I asked them to just come to make the beds. The ladies were so nice and you can seriously tell they are happy at their job! That is such a big deal to me!

*Rooftop Terrace only available/open for pre-booked parties/events

****Putt Putt
The biggest if not the ONLY real complaint we would have is this. This was/is such a great feature to have! Just not well taken care of and many "hazard" areas where the balls just go in the water no matter what.

I arrived prior to check on time, they had a room ready for me. The front desk staff was very friendly and efficient. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. It was nice to have complementary water bottles, which was nice to have when I forgot my water. The pool area was beautiful and the hot tub Relaxing after a long drive. I had dinner at the Sand Bar attached to the hotel. My meal was so delicious and staff was also very friendly. And I didn't have to leave the property. Excellent all around!! THANK YOU STAFF!

Fantastic hotel in an unexpected place. Stayed here for a family reunion. Perfect for the family. There are rooms with available bunk beds for the kids, heated indoor swimming pool, putt putt golf, great restaurant and breakfast. Beds are comfy, pillows are great. For the adults, their liquor license allows you to carry one beer/single serve alcoholic beverage inside the hotel. Meaning you can drink and walk! Everything about this hotel was fantastic. Will stay here anytime I am passing through Norfolk in the future.

The rooms were very nice, the beds and pillows were comfortable and the pool area was large. There is also an on-site restaurant, the sandbar, which had good drinks and artichoke dip.

Nice hotel, well kept rooms, friendly helpful staff. My only complaint is I like a very soft bed & the beds here are pretty firm.

I've stayed here 15+ nights over the past couple months for business. Without fail, the rooms, the breakfast and especially the staff have been exceptional. The restaurant and bar are also top notch! I whole heartedly recommend this place for your next stay in the Norfolk NE area!

This hotel was wonderful. The rooms were all nice and staff was very friendly. The breakfast was more than expected. Never the same food and it tasted home made. Whoever does the cooking I would say is amazing.

Stayed here when the usual hotels were renovating or booked as a backup plan. Left me quite sad that I had stayed anywhere else in the area previously. Hotel is beautiful, and my stay was excellent. I think we'll only ever be staying at the Lodge in the future.

Had a great time staying here with kids. Very nicely decorated and well maintained. It's so big! And lots to do.

Mini golf was fun. Pretty course, albeit challenging, with fun curves and lots of running water woven throughout the holes.

Some of the best prime rib at the Sandbar restaurant and also enjoyed the in-house wheat beer.

Breakfast was a level up from your typical hotel offering. Included several egg bake flavors and even bread pudding!

Staff was most accommodating. So nice when people really care about their guests and providing a quality experience.

Looking forward to visiting again!

For a 3 star hotel this Hotel was Excellent! Lodge interior felt and looked a bit aged, but room was comfortable and service was great. I was pleasantly surprised how good the food was at the built in restaurant. The prime Rib was very good and the Crème brûlée topped it off superbly.

I called them and asked for a “room with a hot tub in it” oh boy did they ever grant the wish! This suite was amazing. The show was fantabulous, you gotta check this out. Staff amazing, breakfast great.

Always have had a wonderful stay when we go, we live in Norfolk so we go out & rent a room for the kids birthday and swim & they are so accommodating, the only hotel we have in town you can rent from if you live in town, and that's ok because they are the best and cleanest in town. Never have a problem with anything, staff is wonderful, rooms are clean, breakfast is good. Highly recommend

The BEST hotel I have EVER been to. The rooms were ridiculously nice, the pool was great, they have mini golf. Everything. The employees were very helpful, they always asked if you need anything, kind, etc. Thought it was cool how there were rooms overlooking the pool. They also had a very good breakfast every morning. I was visiting for a wedding and they fit everyone in! It was great. The restaurant upstairs was also fantastic! I highly recommend the avocado toast. I wish I could go back today!

This place has alot to offer! Mini golf(didn't try bc it snowed) huge pool area and restaurant. We had a room that overlooked the pool with a balcony and it was very reminiscent of the Great Wolf Lodge. Only complaint was our room was unusually warm bc of the pool(therm was set at 65 the min we entered room ) finally we went down stairs bare foot in the snow to cool of and ended up sleeping very well. The restaurant The Sandbar was off the hook! Sports bar/restaurant with pool tables. Food was awesome and cheap! Met some locals and celebrated my hubs 40th bday with them! Awesome atmosphere and great time overall. Will most definitely go again!

Lovely facility. Friendly, helpful desk clerk and staff. Clean comfortable rooms. Wonderful full hot breakfast. Very nice, large indoor swimming pool and a great hot tub for up to
11 people capacity. Outdoor miniature golf on the grounds. My wife and I have come here several times and each time has been very fine, in my opinion.

The lodging is very comfortable and attractive. The full hot American breakfast is ample and delicious. The swimming pool and hot tub are well-maintained, much to the joy of many children and young families. The mini golf course promised fun, but we didn't partake this time. The price is higher than I like to pay, but I guess one can't have everything!

It was a beautiful place. Our room was large, very clean, and comfortable. We had a microwave, a coffee maker, and a fridge, as well as a roomy desk and several comfortable chairs. Their breakfast was unbeatable, my only wish was that the coffee had flavored creamer as well as plain. The lodge has a miniature golf course on grounds, and it was surprisingly challenging. A lot of water hazards, but very reasonably priced. Parking was not difficult, even with our large van. All the staff we met were very friendly and personable, more than helpful. If I am ever in the area again, I would definitely seek this hotel out again.
