Chung Dam Dong Restaurant (清潭洞) 청담동

Came here on a Saturday afternoon with a couple of friends. The restaurant is on the second floor of a small mall-like building, so make sure you pay attention to the signs. When we walked in, we were immediately seated right in the middle of the restaurant where there was lots of room to move around and the waiter gave us our water/tea pretty quickly too. I ordered the honey glazed pork over rice and it was so delicious and well cooked. The side dishes were on point too. My favorite was the sweet potato. Good value, good food and good service. Would come again.

HANDS down one of my new favorite places in Palisades Park. A couple of friends recommended me this place because of the amazing food. I was skeptical because they hyped it up so much, but I was extremely impressed. First, their service is awesome. They are very friendly and attentive and quickly replaced our side dishes for us. The best part was the FOOOOD. The food was amazing. I ordered their mackerel which was cooked to perfection and served on sizzling onions. My girlfriend ordered their yook ga jang which literally tasted like we were in Korea. I am Korean myself and their food was just amazing. Next time, I really want to try their spicy rice cakes and bibimbap. Here's a picture of their mackerel down below.

I had lunch here today and had their seafood iron plate and it was so goooood~ it was perfectly balanced with spicy and sweet and the cost was really affordable too 👍🏼 will definitely back when im in the NJ area! my parents also loved their side dishes (which are free) and they provide so many free and delicious side dishes! cant even get this kind of service in Korea ☺☺☺

Seafood hot pot was perfecto! On a cold day like this, you must have some shots of soju and a great Anju! The portion was good and all the seafood were so fresh...

We just had dinner here on 01/11/19 and wow the food was tremendous! Im from Korea and visited with my family and we feasted on so much food- including their 냉면 and korean barbeque. The ingredients are even fresher than Korea and for a fraction of the cost!! I wish we could have had all three meals here :-) definitely give this place a try for some authentic korean food!

This is my favorite Korean BBQ joint!
I have been there several times in the past. And I loved everything they have to offer!
I truly don’t know why some people complain about the prices, I live in NYC. And those prices are fair, and I did try about 3-4 similar Korean BBQ places near that area.. I won’t mention any names but similar places where they don’t use natural coal To grill for meat BBQ. And the meat don’t even taste as fresh as this place!
I eat a lot of red meat, not too proud of it, but I know when the meat is high quality and organic. This is the right place if you’re a meat eater!

They also have a large selection of all type of authentic Korean food in there, give it a try if you enjoy spicy different flavors!

I highly recommend it. And believe it or not. I drive 2 hours just to eat there sometimes! If you’re near by, definitely give it a try and you won’t regret it.

Great Korean dining - the side dishes were super yummy and we got the beef bulgogi and spicy chicken. Beef was awesome and the chicken was excellent - spicy, but not so spicy it was overwhelming. Staff was friendly and seating was fast. Met the owner who could not be more welcoming! Would definitely come back

Great place for big parties with great food. Staff is very friendly and will answer questions if asked and also very attentive.

I look forward to going to Chung dam dong. I love to get their BBQ and Iron plate!! It is their signature dish. It is so flavorful and the servings are huge :) I highly recommend to enjoy with family or friends. P.S. Their seafood pancake is crunchy and yummy. My new fav place in palisades park.

One of the best Korean restaurants I have ever been to in the States. The food is really good and even the side dishes were divine. Last time I went, I've ordered the dwenjang jjigae (bean paste stew) and the dweji galbi (barbequed pork ribs). The staff was extremely friendly and I would definitely come back here again! I would recommend this place to anybody who wants to experience authentic Korean cuisine.

Great service and food! Highly recommend the spicy squid and pork iron plate- tastes just like Korea’s. The staff treats you like family. Third time back and I’m sure I’ll be back for more!

One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Though I am not a Korean, I recieved a warm welcome by the owner l. Being a regular I often get pancakes on the house. Their galbi and pajoons are out of the world. Never had better pajoon elsewhere!

Delicious food and wonderful service !

My wife and I went to another Korean restaurant and they did not have what we were looking for. Fortunately they sent us to Chung Dam Dong and we enjoyed a delicious meal and warm ambiance. We will definitely be coming back!

The food was simply amazing and their bulgogi was amazing- highly recommend. I also get order their meat dishes (pork belly) often and their meat is really high quality. Service is also always great and greeted with smiles.

Delicious meal as usual!! Perfect casual spot to go to with my fiancé on a cold frigid day. We had the spicy pork and dwenjang jjigae with the mackerel and everything was seasoned perfectly and delicious.

I came to here in a late night. They were 1 hour to close, but the food was still delicious especially fried octopus stone pot. And their service was nice. Definitely will come again.

My favorite all-purpose Korean joint in the NY Metro area. Even though my brother found a cockroach scurry across his table once, I can overlook that and still give this place 5 stars.

Amazing authentic Korean food and Korean BBQ. I had to rely on a friend who spoke Korean to do the majority of the ordering, but every dish was delicious. Reservations are a must.

Food is delicious and service was pretty good. There was a language barrier, but that's how you know it is authentic.
