Fatima African Hair Braiding

I've been looking for a braid shop in New Jersey to have my daughter's hair braided. I am originally from Philly. I finally found a shop that I love. Let me tell you about this shop; they are professional, very nice ladies in this shop, and they braid hair so beautifully. I called them hoping to make an appointment within a few days so my daughter could have her hair done for school, but the owner fit me in the same day. My daughter got the medium knotless braids. They are gorgeous and neat, and the braider only took 5 hours to complete the style. I will be back at Fatima's African Braiding Shop for sure.

My daughter is very “tender headed” when she had her hair done here she sat without crying the entire time. My daughter was able to take as many breaks as she needed. I also had come with my young son and Fatima as well as the other ladies were very sweet and tolerant of his toddler behavior. I was able to relax and get my hair done as well. This place has amazing service and a nice intimate set up. 5+ stars, and we will be back!

Made an appointment for small extra long boho knotless. Came late and they still decided to take care of me. Had the best attitude and made me feel comfortable. My hair came out perfect!

AMAAAZING 5 STARS IS NOT ENOUGH!!! Ms Fatima goes above and beyond to make sure her customers are comfortable and satisfied. She even went out of her way to open early, she treated my dandruff and she is the fastest braider I have ever seen. Nothing but great family vibes here. They did an amazing job on me, I absolutely love my bohemian box braids! I have a lot of hair so it took a little bit but the end result was beautiful and worth it! Very friendly, will definitely come again !

I would highly recommended this salon! I had a Muay Thai kickboxing fight this past Friday and I was very happy with the braids done by the women at this salon. I called very last minute and they got me in within 30 minutes no problem. The women were kind and the braids looked beautiful and held up perfectly in my fight!

I have been to many braiding shops and this is by far thee absolute best one EVER. The place is clean, the staff are AAAMAZING, I was so comfortable they are so friendly caring and they really take their time Fatima has a really great business and she is so attentive and everyone that comes in whether it's your first time or not they make you feel welcomed. This will be my Go 2 for now on Sallay is great she is the one that did my hair and she was excellent. Can't wait to go back so looking forward to it .

Fatima and her whole salon is amazing! I have a lot of hair and it took a while but nonetheless the stylist did an amazing job, im in love. Not only that but they definitely taught me about the right hair to use and how to take care of it since ive never really had my hair done like this before. They treat you like family there. This will definitely be the only salon I get my hair braided at!
