great location. very affordable. you can get the 129 bus to and from Manhattan for $3.50 each way. very convenient. and the staff is so kind and helpful!! will be staying here again

Clean rooms, very nice people at the reception, quiet place, accessible, good price and about 40min away from manhattan by public transportation.

We had three rooms at the Red Roof for a week. It's not fancy, but for the price, it's great. We traveled back and forth to Manhattan all week. It's close to NYC without paying the expensive hotel prices. The Red Roof is very well lit up at night. The room doors are very secure, and there is a safe in each room. The staff is amicable and attentive—great deli’s close by and other accommodations.

We booked here because the price was right. Read a few reviews that weren't too favorable so we were a little nervous about the stay. The reviews were not correct. The rooms were clean, beds were clean, three (smaller) pillows on each bed. For the price we paid for three nights, we were very pleased. The front desk was friendly and helpful, both night and day shifts. They gave us great advice and support with our excursions while we were here. I would book here again anytime.

Wow where do I start beverly was so awesome she went on and beyond for us and I'm so appreciative the staff was also great they were very good and helpful love this place will come back . I recently stayed at a hotel with a great location and a quick commute to NYC. The cleanliness of the hotel was also impressive. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

The room was spacious and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable and the linens were fresh and clean. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the bathroom, which had plenty of towels and toiletries.

Beautiful property. Room was clean and staff was great. Highly recommend this location. I stayed at a Double Tree the night before and this beat them hands down!

No complaints. Front desk was nice. Decent location with subway, Sinbad, and wendys across the street and a 24 hour deli 5 minutes down the road. Buses to NYC nearby. Nothing wrong with my room. Just wish it had a fridge and microwave.

Very nice hotel no complaints here water is hot rooms are clean and bed is comfy woke up rested and ready for the day thannksss and the truck parking is a big plus

Good affordable location to go to Manhattan downtown. You can use bus, train and also if you time well doing Uber is also affordable.
There is subway and Dunkin’ opposite to hotel as eatery option.

I stayed here last weekend with my husband for a concert in Times Square + sightseeing in NYC...and at first, I was a little worried cos of all the negative reviews...but I needn't have worried!! I'll admit this is not a "luxury" hotel BUT if you're going to NYC it's a perfect location & has everything you need: plenty of parking, big room, very clean, a comfy bed, fridge & micro (we brought our own snacks & drinks), nice coffee maker...what else do you need right? Friendly check-in staff too, beautiful area in the back to walk around. Then, just a 15-minute walk to the bus stop, only $3.50 fare & boom! You're in Times Square in 25 minutes! To then enjoy NYC all day as you wish. We grabbed the last bus back at 12:44AM, and walking back to the hotel no worries & felt very safe. Again, it's not Beverly Hills in Secaucus, but for the price, it was a great experience & we'd definitely stay again!

Great budget friendly place to stay in Northern Jersey. Although a night might cost more than $100 which is about the average for any hotel, it is very clean which surprised me. Decent parking for cars and good stores nearby. Nothing to complain about.

Great place to stay with the family and even yourself, service the staff were great everyone is so nice the room were clean and cold in this hot Weather restaurant are really close by and the bus stop too I would definitely be coming back to this location

This place is good for money Except the clients are dodgy looking. Somebody always smoking refer outside always smells like weed. Completely great facility will stay here again. Employees work hard cleaning. Stayed here 2 weeks. Only other complaint. They obviously don't clean carpets well. Dabbed it dry when I spilled water. Ewww. I'm happy here though for my long stay.
Great print out of instructions to city bus walk is 5-10 min. 15 minutes to city once on bus.
Jeff sounds like he doesn't know what sketchy means as a world traveler. This is nice. The water view is cool. Shut up Jeff or Karen whatever. He should have requested a room change it's 18 degrees outside. I'm toasty af in these sheets. Weeeeeee

Clean, decent size room with fridge, microwave, iron, hairdryer, tv, coffee & cold AC. Bed mattress & pillows are decent & clean. 30 min to time square by taxi or can use bus schedule. Great view & nearby residential neighborhood is nice looking. Parking is large and free. After living in NY,NY I would definitely stay here again.

We were very impressed with this Red Roof Inn. The room was clean, modern & quiet, the beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly, the price was right, the location safe & convenient and they are pet friendly. They even offer full menu room service from a local cafe! The only thing the room lacked was a coffee maker, although coffee is available in the lobby. It also would have been a big plus if they offered hourly shuttle service to & from NYC. We would have gladly paid for this service. The bus stop is quite a trek down the road. Despite those things we would stay here again on future trips. P.S. I have a very hard time believing the claims on the review 3 down from mine.

I truly can't understand the people writing these bad reviews. We travel ALL over delivering puppies and usually stay at Motel 6. They get worse every stay so I saw this place and it was pet friendly. The staff was EXCEPTIONALI needed a ground floor and they made sure I got it a day ahead of time. They have a quiet gazebo in the back next to the river. Very peaceful and for once in months, felt very safe!! I recommend it hands down. We will be staying at Red Roofs from here on out.

Extremely friendly staff. Conveniently right off the highway. Room was okay. Clean, but weird setup, and fairly small. Does the job if you're not picky. Plenty of parking at the time I stayed. No fridge or microwave in the standard room. There was a safe and an iron/ironing board, though. Overall 4/5 because I can't complain much - it did the job and I only stayed for one night. And I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly the staff was!
