Halfway Creek Trail

This a great trail to walk. It is usually quite and not to many people. For the most part the trail is easy to push a kids stroller down. I have gone here many times. There are benches along the way to rest at and most of them have great views

Gorgeous wooded trail with lots of little bridges...hills and turns...even a few benches along the way.

I love this park so much I had my wedding reception here. 💖

It's a charming trail, make no mistake, but I am terribly disappointed with Holmen's management of the land. The creek is polluted with runoff from the city containing pesticides, weed killers, ice melting salt, and all sorts of chemical soup. Back in the '30s, this was a beautiful, natural and fresh creek that people swam in! They even fished here. It's very sad to see how different things are. It's our duty as a city to protect and preserve our natural resources. We could start by restricting the use of weed killers and pesticides around Holmen, which pollute the water when they run off in the rain. (They also reduce biodiversity, therefore making mowed areas less drought tolerant and damaging the topsoil... But that's another thing). Halfway Creek could be clean again. We just need to work together.
