Tropico Mexican Restaurant

We used to go to Tropico all the time years ago. This was our first time eating at the new location. The food was excellent and our server was friendly. We will definitely return.

Went here on a whim while walking around. Delicious food. The reviews that say it’s like home cooking are absolutely right. Kids had a chicken quesadilla and beef burrito. Large portions and delicious. We tried various tacos (chicken, shrimp, Barbacoa etc). All were tasty. The nachos with beans and cheese were really good too. Will definitely be back. I would recommend however that they keep the bathroom stocked with paper towels and check on it throughout the day for cleanliness. And gloves for the people cooking. Otherwise we had a great meal and the people were really nice.

I’ve been going to Tropico for many years, and it has always been an incredible experience. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The food is absolutely delicious with generous portions, great flavor, and fair prices. You can tell they put a lot of love and care into their dishes, making it feel like a home cooked meal every time. I have been to other authentic Mexican restaurants closer to my home, but none quite compare to Tropico. I will certainly make the drive here for their top tier quality. Thank you Tropico for many years of great food and service! This restaurant is truly valued in the community.

This place is a hidden gem! The food is authentic and delicious. The service was great, the man who served me (I think the owner) was so friendly and welcoming. Definitely make time to come here!

This place was great! I ordered a shrimp chimichanga and it was made perfectly. Such great flavor, the rice was super delicious and so we're the beans. The staff are very friendly and quick. This was the first time I've ever been here, but it will not be the last. The prices were very reasonable as well. Highly recommend for authentic Mexican food.

This place is great! I'm so glad it reopened in a larger location. Service is fast and friendly, and I've now gone often enough that they recognize me. I've tried so many things on their menu and everything has been a hit. My only complaint is that the first time I went, I had the tortilla soup and it was FANTASTIC, and every time I've called since then they don't have it, but it's still on the menu. No other complaints!

The staff was so extremely friendly, they made the ordering process so great. I got exactly what I ordered and I’ve never seen such a big burrito! Definitely go there hungry and you won’t be disappointed!

Ordered Tropico for our office meeting and WOW!!! We ordered something that wasn’t even on the menu and they accommodated this request…with a smile. Allowed us to pick up earlier than they opened, The food was amazing! Rave reviews from our entire team. Will definitely be going back!! DELICIOUS!!! Highly recommend.

Truly wish I could give this place 6 stars. Went on a whim on our way back to Philadelphia from the shore. The food was life changing , the service was amazing , the atmosphere was unparalleled. Antonio we will be back !

This was the best Mexican food that I’ve ever had. Very authentic. This place felt like home, super welcoming. My friends and I met who we believe to be the owner. He was so friendly and made this experience the best. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you Antonio.

Delish! Amazing food without the frills.

This place was amazing! My husband and I were on our way back from Hartshorne Woods Park and were craving Mexican food, and this place was on our way home. The service was great, salsas were super flavorful, and the food was delicious! We both got a vegetarian tlayuda (had never had that before) and would absolutely recommend it - it was huge, tasty, and very reasonably priced. Antonio (our server) was wonderful as well!

Best tacos hands down! The ladies here are so nice 👍 We also got the special Cessna Ranchera. Huge portion so delicious 😋

Picked up dinner after shopping in the the neighborhood, was very happy with the Barbacoa tacos and my son loved the al Pastor burrito. Will stop by again.

Great little place Mexican joint in downtown Keyport. Street tacos are the best in area. Best for takeout and pretty cheap but does have a have a few tables for a sit down lunch/dinner. Really close to water front for walk afterwards.
