5 Brothers Taqueria

I had a great experience today along with my family. I ordered the tacos de carnitas which were great. My wife had the corn quesadillas and they were also pretty good. The fresh chips and their amazing homemade sauces were truly spectacular like many others have mentioned in their reviews. It is sad though that people would give a place a bad rating after receiving a dish they are not happy or satisfied with without asking or giving them an opportunity to fix it and rate their response. I was truly surprised to find a Mexican restaurant in the area with authentic flavors. Highly recommend this restaurant and will be coming back soon to try their tamales. They were out of tamales today unfortunately.

OMG... Authentic Mexican food in Chester NJ! We tried the restaurant when it opened in January, and have been regulars to it ever since. I'm writing this review after a couple of dozen takeout orders and a few in-person visits.

The food it phenomenal... it's a 'from scratch kitchen' and it's FRESH. I love the nachos... chicken or beef, they come loaded to a point where you'll find ourself asking for extra chips to finish all the toppings. Another thing to have with those wonderful home made chips is the salsa verde... it's got fresh avocados in there for an amazing taste and mouth feel.

The crispy tostadas with chicken tinga is always a crowd pleaser. The chipotle with adobo shines in this dish. The tacos with the freshly made tortillas are a sure thing... try the longaniza - their spicy sausage version.

This brings me to their torta... it's a good group! These freshly made Mexican paninis are amazing and I've found myself making excuses to grab one on the go. Your choice or meats, with avocados, pickled jalapeños and other goodies make this one of my favorites.

Long story short... it's a must try if you live in Chester, driving through, or just searching for good Mexican food. Enjoy!

I was at the 5 brothers Taqueria today. This place is the real deal. This is not Taco Bell or Chipotle. This is authentic Mexican food. Family owned. EVERYTHING IS fresh and out of this world. If you are foodie this quaint little restaurant is a Must!

12/1/22 came back again! Delicious! Flavor town comes to Chester NJ. I am addicted to there fresh clean delious food!

You couldn't meet nicer people, BYO, and you couldn't ask for better food. 5 star all around

Fantastic! I enjoyed a steak torta and nachos at this restaurant and they did not disappoint. Good sized portions too. Definitely suggest checking them out if you like Mexican food.

I really enjoy the food and service here. The tacos (at least the styles I have ordered) rely on fresh and tasty ingredients and salsa rather than heavy cheese and sour cream. I take my small daughter and wife there and we have a nice time. The guac is great paired with a Tamarind Jaritos.

My girlfriend and I luckily stumbled upon this place while driving from Morristown and were so glad we did because the tacos here are so damn good. The alambre tacos and steak tacos were so tender, big portions (5 tacos included), tons of flavor and the price is super low for the overall value you get. We’re already planning on coming back!

The tacos here are so good - I feel elated to have found actually delicious tacos on the east coast. I grew up in southern California and moved to NYC about four years ago - I’ve been searching high and low for great tacos and I’ve finally found them! They’re far better than anything I’ve had in the city and also more reasonably priced. I would make it a point to come back if I happened to be in the area or even just passing by on a road trip.

Highlights are probably the al pastor and lengua, but the steak ones are also good. Guacamole was solid and the orange salsa is fantastic!

Love the tacos and nachos from here. Always a delight to eat here.

Really good taco’s! 10/10 recommend, it was very busy when we went and the food came out pretty quick and the man who helped us was very friendly.

Wonderful food, simple menu. Everything was fantastic, even the side of rice and beans were outstanding. This is my new favorite spot in town!

I’m so glad a piece of San Diego is in Chester. There aren’t any good taco places around here. The pork tacos are delicious! I definitely recommend this place!

Fantastic food! I got the Carne Enchilada tacos and my brother got the Alambre tacos, and we swapped one so we could each try both. Great stuff. The sauces are a highlight, too; of the usual red and green, neither is toooo spicy, but the red one will build up if you pile it on! Worth a visit, and I plan on going back soon.
Oh, and they do catering, too — our office ordered from them recently 👍

I’ve been living in Chester for 13 years. I have eaten at every Mexican restaurant in town. Taqueria five brothers is by far the best authentic Mexican food I have ever had. That includes all my trips to Mexico for business. It’s a little expensive but well worth it. I try to go there at least three times a week for lunch.

We have eaten in and had take out many times. We used to live in Southern California and the food at 5 Brothers is every bit as good as the family Mexican restaurants there.

Love the hackettstown location and so happy they opened another taqueria in Chester. Fantastic authentic tacos at a great price. The area is seriously lacking in affordable, quality Mexican food, and this location is great.

Absolutely fantastic tacos! I highly recommend the Al Pastor (Special Spicy Pork) and Pollo (Chicken) tacos. Looking forward to visiting again!

The place was clean and the tacos al carbón were delicious, the salsas were good and just spicy enough.
