Dr Guitar Music

We stopped by the store this afternoon while visiting with my son who's stationed at Fort Drum. I found this store a few weeks ago online and have been excited to take my boy here. This store didn't disappoint. It's truly what a Mom and Pop shop should be with a friendly and warm atmosphere.

Joe was a fantastic resource and just a great guy to talk to. Everything we bought and browsed had great prices and rivals the big chains. Do yourself a favor if you're around Watertown and go support this shop. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip from Central Ohio.

I was looking for a long time for a book called R.E.M. Guitar Tab Anthology and luckily I found it on Dr Guitar's website. I placed an international order (Europe) and I got it in quicker than I thought. The book is in great condition.

Dr. Guitar has always had a really good selection of stringed instruments for sale, including a small selection of "previously owned" items. The prices seem in line with other shops, although higher than on-line sellers. But buying locally means you have an easier time of getting something corrected or replaced if there is an issue compared to a far-off (China?) distributor. Do swing by and see what Dr. Guitar has in store for you. You may walk out with your latest musical "friend"!

This is the best chorus I've ever played. In the past I found them thin and one dimensional. This pedal has tons of versatility. It's thick and adds a lot of character to leads and clean tones as well.

They had exactly what I needed and a fair price.

Visited the store to purchase a new guitar for my son on his birthday a few weeks and the service was great! We were shown a great starter kit for a new learner. The employee we dealt with was super pleasant and very helpful. We left their feeling like we just picked up a great deal and several weeks later we still feel the same way. I recommend stopping in for any of your musical needs .

One of the only surviving local music stores in my area. Honestly a musicians wet dream. They have everything from Harmonicas and Recorders to Guitars and Drums, and everything in-between. Plenty of books and useful chord charts for a variety of instruments so you can start learning to play mostly anything you're looking to play, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned veteran on your instrument looking to expand your knowledge.

Joe who works here is like a jack of all trades, knows just about all there is to know about most any question you could think to ask, and is always happy to help and explains things really well.

Great store over-all

I've been here many times. I've purchased a lot of sound equipment, mics, mixer, cables, etc from him. Always friendly. He knows his stuff, answers all your questions and helps you find what your looking for. Will go again when the need arises...

Nice little music store with a bit of everything for just about any need. Always trying to support the local businesses.

I have been shopping here for 4.5 years, and am moving so I thought I would leave a review. These guys are awesome. Any time I need smaller accessories I come here instead of ordering online. Service and repair rates are reasonable. They have almost everything that you would ever need. Honestly, I would shop here for large purchases more if the sales tax weren't so high in this state.

Joe is such an asset to the musical community. This store has so much to check out and Joe knows all of the products like the back of his hand. One of the few magical music stores left

This is the best shop I have ever had the good fortune of stumbling upon since first stumbling into a shop back around 1990. I have been in more than a few across the past 25 years, some good, some not so good, and many somewhere in the middle. These people are true professionals, they care, they know their community and work hard to serve it. I have been in there many times across the last couple years, and I will miss this shop dearly when my military career turns to retirement soon and I head back home. I can and will use their online sales as much as possible, but will miss being able to walk in and work with a staff that knows me by name. remembers the bass I bought was for my daughter, the one guitar for my son, the other was mine. When I began to venture into new electronics and recording equipment, I was well informed on how to use what we came to decide was the best gear for my needs and experience level with such equipment. Great technical skills on the bench too. I could go on and on about this shop and its people. I will just end with what tell anyone I know personally, which is, I highly recommend this shop.

Bought a new banjo, and the owner was kind enough to put it together and tune it with no issues. That's leading by example!

My first time here I had Joe set up my Martin GCP and he did an excellent job. A couple years later he set up my LTD H-1001 and it made a huge difference, it plays like a dream now. Today I bought an American Strat from them and Joes service was again excellent. Please, if you want new gear, give these local guys your business! I can’t say enough good about Dr. Guitar, thank you guys !

Went in looking for a guitar with a very specific sound. The gentleman working knew exactly what guitar I wanted based in the sound I described. He was also very attentive to us as we tried different guitars. I highly recommend this shop!!!

The owner Bruce is fantastic. Awesome selection of guitars, drums, basses, keyboards, and gear. Joe King who works there is very smart when it comes to guitars and gear. He's great, the store is great, and it has a friendly atmosphere.

Visiting from out of town, store was recommended and lived up to referral. Easy to find, easy to park. I was treated v well, no pressure and I was so enthralled with selection and pricing I almost purchased a 7th guitar, Yikes.

Fantastic full service music store with a lot of personality and expertise at the helm.
Joe really does an amazing job, he got rid of the feet buzz on my seven string Schecter, set up my Les Paul, and just installed new Seymour Duncan Blackouts (which they are a dealer for) on my Epiphone which sounds killer!
Great prices fantastic service.
I won't bring my guitars anywhere else, period.
