The Merchant General Store

Love this place. Always stop when we are in Black River Falls. You never know what you will find in the antiques in the basement and I'm always excited to buy a new sign. My kids love raiding the candy and getting ice cream. The owner, Darren is always very friendly, and I love the historical items decorating the walls and the original counter and cash register.

This store is one of my favourites. I take my daughter here for ice cream cones often during the summer and its a great place to buy sturdy children's toys too. I bought a beautiful child sized piano with matching bench there for a reasonable price. The people who run it are friendly. Highly recommended.

For a Business that prides it self on the rustic vibe the glass filled jars with candy's and treat you will find no where else. They even have ice cream with scoop worth the price. Root Beer floats with a fresh chilled glass bottle of Coca-Cola. If you enjoyed the thing you had in your childhood and would like to revisit those happy times or have your family get a chance to see what made you happy THIS IS THE PLACE

Located on main street Black River Falls. Free parking on the street and side. Enjoy the old time candies, antiques, homemade crafts, toys, ice cream. Take notice to the old cash register being used. Darren is friendly and helpful with questions on the items for sale or historical of the building n town.

This store us like going back to the 60's, candy that I grew up with, great quality ice cream, incredible antiques and the owner is very knowledgeable and friendly
