Broke one of my skis. Had to get an emergency set. Eric patiently heard me out in terms of what type of skier I was + my skill level.

He didn’t try to upsell me anything and recommended me a set that was affordable & appropriate for my skill level.

Went back there to arrange snow boarding lessons for my kids a few days later. Their rental pricing was significantly better compared to the ski resorts. Snow board (both board and boots) rental was $39 at hobby wheel compared to $60 at the ski reports. With 3 kids, that worked out to $60 a day in savings.

Chris, the manager at Hobby Wheel, taught my kids. He was a good instructor. Very patient + took time to analyze my 3 kids terms of how the rode and what mistakes they made. And spent the time to correct those mistakes. Plus teach them skills and drills to help them become better snowboarders.

Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

We stopped in after a week of skiing and snowshoeing. There were some outstanding items on sale. I purchased an excellent pair of Hester gloves. My partner came away with new skis, and other apparel items she had wanted. We had a terrific time chatting with the lady who handles the apparel, Chris and one tech. Just the nicest people to do business with! I am eyeing a fat tire bike they sell. Thank you for an excellent experience on 2/3/2024.

They were able to accommodate to install my new bindings on my skis and help me find a better ski boot! Can also have a quick turn around on ski tune ups! My family has been coming here for ski equipment and service through out the years. Reliable shop to stop!

Went in looking for a hat came out finding the new snowboard I want all thanks to Chris!! He was so informative and helpful and knew exactly what I needed to be able to have the best boarding season yet!! Thank you for having people that are knowledgeable in what they do!!

We rent from Hobby Wheel every year that we ski in the western U.P.. The people who own/operate the Hobby Wheel always provide amazing service. Their rental equipment is top notch as well. I would highly recommend renting and/or buying ski equipment and gear from the Hobby Wheel.

The Last time we were up skiing we got out rentals and were in our car ready to pull out of the parking lot. An employee ran out and gave us a bunch of hand warmers as the temperatures were projected to be below zero. This exemplifies the Hobby Wheel and their staff. We will be back every time we are in the area.

They always have the latest styles/models for the season. It's great to have consultative people to talk to about my needs and narrow down the product best suited to me.

If they don't have what I'm looking for (which doesn't happen often) they've been able to get it quickly.

They've also serviced my mountain bike and waxed my skis. I've found their prices to be very reasonable, but more importantly, their work is flawless.

We rented downhill skis for a day. The quality of the rentals were great, and the service could not have been better. The reservation and pick up process went so quickly and smoothly.
