El Palenque Mexican Restaurant

The food was AMAZING!!! The service was great and fast!!! I wasnt a big fan of dessert but if thats the only thing i didnt like which was cheese cake and a sapodilla, that is ok ill take it overall amazing!!!

They have a really nice selection of vegetarian options on the menu. Delicious Garden Fajita! I loved the big pieces of broccoli and cauliflower along with the nicely flavored, caramelized veggies. The chips and salsa were not great, oddly enough...stale chips and the salsa was bland for my taste. That was a blessing in disguise since I wasn't tempted to ruin my appetite for the excellent fajitas. Service was good. The atmosphere was what you'd expect at a Mexican restaurant.

Second time there. Food was great!! So was the service. Shocking how clean this place is considering its in an old building. Definitely will go back.

The food is delicious and affordable. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is outstanding. They offer dine in or take-out. They have great lunch, dinner and drink specials. They have a large selection of menu items including a kids menu. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Food and service was great. Had hot, delicious food served in under 10 minutes after ordering. Great prices and portions. Will definitely be back! 🤩

We walked in and was immediately approached by a Hughe smile and a very pleasant young lady. Her name was Madison, she seated us and began a bit of conversation with us. It was very nice to hear this from her about her place of business. Sheathed us what we wanted to drink and gave us a sufficient amount of time to select our choices for lunch. I ordered the Ribeye steak dinner and my wife had the steak enchiladas. We both had our food served hot and very quick. "It was good also I was very hungry." LOL. Madison was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks! I can only let you know please go to this restaurant and give it a try. Great sauces also. Have a great meal.

For being a small restaurant they have amazing menu choices. Great service and great food. I highly recommend!

The food is fantastic my husband and I come to this restaurant quite often and the food and service is very consistent... If you are looking for some excellent authentic Mexican food then this place is the right place.

This is a great Mexican restaurant in small town McConnelsville, Ohio. The food is served quick and HOT. Everything I've had has been delicious! The menu has many options. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. The prices are quite reasonable and the portions are generous. The restroom was spotless. Will return when I'm back to see a show at the Ohio Valley Opry.

My family of 4 really enjoyed our meal. Autumn was our main server & did have some help from Jazzmine. Our meal was just what we ordered. & it was hot! The chips/dip were fantastic. Was only 2nd time we had eaten there due to the virus so was an enjoyable time.

Let me tell you…. The food was phenomenal and Jasmine was a fantastic host. I was not sure what to expect when our group went into this restaurant but we were all blown away. You owe it to yourself to stop in and get a good meal.

Our server was very helpful time. I have stomach issues and asked her about suggestions. She suggested a chicken and rice dish with out the spicy sauce. And it was delicious. Thank you. And this was my first visit. And won't be my last.

We love Mexican and go to one everywhere we go. El Palenque did a very good job in comparison.

Overall the service was very friendly and prompt. The salsa was really good, better than most and guacamole was good also. Chips were just okay. Didn't have authentic made taste, more like they came out of bag, but no biggie.

We got lunch fajitas, which was very filling. Kudos to them for not skimping on the toppings. They gave a nice amount of sour cream and lettuce, etc.

Price wise, I thought they were leaning on the expensive side . Not outrageous, just slightly. So we'll probably stick with lunch time rates and not go at evening.

Atmosphere for a Mexican restaurant was a little bland, but then they just opened. More important is that it was clean. I would take that over decorations any day.

One suggestion I would make to owners should they read this is that it was kind of dark in restaurant and adding small light fixtures just over each booth or on the tables will brighten it up and add to the intimate dining experience.

Anyway, I would recommend this place and will definitely be back. So Happy it's opened!

Jasmine was very sweet. We came in Virginia at the beginning of the week. We at here 2 times this week. It was a great atmosphere and Jasmine very professional. The first time we came in was Thursday night and they were getting ready to close. We walked in and asked if they were still open and Jamsine took us in and sat us down me took our order. Most restaurants would not serve us, but she did. Thank you for the kindness that was shown. We will definitely be back again.

Not busy on a Wednesday morning, pretty good American breakfast food, but the Monster Breakfast Burrito was excellent, very good, sausage gravy was pretty good, had good experiences here so far. Price seems fair compared to quality and amount of food you get. Will be going back.

This place is awesome. Super friendly staff, great drink specials and amazing food. We went on taco Tuesday and it did not disappoint! Do yourself a favor and check this place out if you're in the area.

Great restaurant! Authentic Mexican food. I forgot which individual was our server in a group of six. Seemed like it was more a team effort as far as service went. Food was great, steak Monster Burrito cooked well served right. Definitely recommend
