Don’t miss out on this fine place! Searching for great food for dinner on the tail end of our road trip, our search results produced Coldwater Cafe. The wait would have been an hour without a reservation so we sat at the bar as suggested by the hostess. A warm welcome by the two bartenders and a lovely local woman that was sitting next to us was a great beginning. I had a blackberry mocktail, we shared the fried green tomatoes as our starter, I had the Faroe Islands salmon, husband has the wedge salad with chicken and we finished with the key lime pie. Everything was tastefully delicious! There is nothing better than quality food prepared very well 😋

I got the duck grilled cheese and my husband got the crab cake sandwich. The star of the show are the french fries here. Do not pass on the french fries. They are soft in the center and crispy, seasoned on the outside. Just fantastic.

This is not just your average cafe with someone's personal spin on everyday meals, drinks, and desserts. This is actually gourmet and class tucked away in a hidden corner of a history rich small town. Whether outside or inside dining, you'll find the ambience to be comfortable, enjoyable, and pleasant. The staff are well taken care of, and that always shows in how they respond to you! This says a lot about the management and the owner(s). This place is here to stay, folks.
You'll find even the simplest of order prepared unlike anything you've ever experienced; and yes, it is a tasteful sensation. My Taco salad (how could someone alter that) was so unique from any other I've had, both in the flavor and texture of the meat, the different salad items, the dressing, and presentation - not average whatsoever! The common Peanut Butter Pie is a favorite throughout this region, however you will discover that this slice of heaven is definitely a blue ribbon experience, from beginning to end! The ingredients and skill of the one who prepares such an item, will show in the evidence of appearance, aroma, initial and after taste. If you are looking for more than just a meal but a culinary experience, this restaurant will not disappoint you no matter your taste.
Additional points: It's a great place to get together in ending the day or starting with some friends or a date. The location and parking is easily accessible and safe, both arriving and leaving.

Such a cute homy atmosphere with extremely tasty dishes and drinks. Somewhat pricey but you get what you pay for. Service, taste, and an evening that can't be beat. Also, the best bread pudding I've ever had! Like a moist and flaky croissant floating on a bed of butter - amazing.

SO delicious! The menu is clearly crafted with care and passion. Our server had a great knowledge of what was in each dish and helping with recommendations. We loved everything we got. I live over an hour away and I’m considering making special trips into to Tipp City just to eat here again.

We’re frequent patrons due to the outstanding food quality, professional service, and ambience. Went tonight for our son’s wedding engagement celebration. I got the duck and it was fabulous.

This restaurant is one of my favorites!! Food is wonderful! I love the salmon and their old Fashioned drinks !! Highly recommended if your in the area, do a reservation or you will wait hours. Totally worth it, little pricey but worth it !!

Wife and I went to Coldwater Cafe for our 36th anniversary recently. Wife got the lobster ravioli and I had the lobster crab cakes. Yes, we’ve been married this long because we like similar things! And we both loved this place. Very quaint and nice atmosphere for a special event. Food was awesome and we were treated to a great night.

Will definitely be back. Service was very attentive and staff checked on us frequently even though a couple large parties were near us.

Food was EXCEPTIONAL, I had fried green tomatoes grill cheese with thick bacon slices and fresh fries. The only acceptable drink with this meal was strawberry rhubarb margrita, my oh my, it was also delicious. My husband had a fish sandwich which was a big piece of fish, enough to make 2 sandwiches and their homemade potato chips. He also had a salad with their homemade house dressing, cucumber and dill creamy dressing, again YUM. And fresh bread. The service was AMAZING also. Highly recommended.

GREAT, in a word. I tried the Scottish Salmon and it was terrific, perfectly cooked and very tasty. They really know how to cook. I also had a dessert, the cherry- almond bread pudding, which was totally amazing. I had turned up without a reservation so I sat at the bar, and got all kinds of good tips from the bar staff - they are a good team. The restaurant is very, very good and could hold its own in much larger cities.

What a great restaurant! Everything was perfectly seasoned, the portion was very large, and the atmosphere was great!

First time visiting and we weren't dissapointed. Great food, great service and a Key Lime Pie I'd put up there with Kermits...if you know you know.

New remodel… Army Mess hall … ultra noisy 78 decibels… could not hear across the table… Gone is the intimate couples $200+ Cafe… ACOUSTICS are non existent… Good news… The food is ***** star great… now put a drive through on … to finish the new business model… It was my go to place to impress… I’ve been in the best restaurants in the US, Vegas and none were able to match the Cold Water Cafe… The 4 of us could not hear each other or understand the waitress… I wanted the Lobster crab cakes I love… she was across the table when asked if we wanted appetizers… I never heard her… I asked waitress much later could I have an appetizer of Lobster Crab Cakes… she instantly went back to order them… (They were great tasting as was the meal) for me it is now the best carry-out now… too bad can’t enjoy wine and conversation… or bring a business client there anymore for lunch (or dinner) to negotiate… without hearing… I PRAY this new business model is a success… good luck with it…

Just an absolutely wonderful place for a great meal and fabulous service! I have food allergies, and the server and chef were very careful about the preparation and presentation of my meal. Most of us had the filet while some had the New York strip.....the steaks were perfection. Someone next to us had the really good scallops. Salads were excellent, the sides were given as much prep care as the entrees and the entire meal was well worth the visit. Save room for dessert....you can't go wrong with any of their excellent desserts. As an added plus, the restaurant is located in an old bank building, so there's a really good historic vibe to the location. We'll definitely be going back.

I was extremely impressed with this place. The quality of the food can’t be found at many places in the area. The bread was some of the best bread I’ve had. Lobster crab cake was on point. Pita chips were fresh, warm, and homemade. Heck even the water is triple filter, and the service was top notch. Social distancing is taken seriously with plexiglass separating tables.

I highly recommend this restaurant.

Most amazing place for a great dinner. John at the bar is fantastic. I recommend sitting at the bar and eating. No reservation needed. Food is awesome. The Coldwater Old Fashion is the best around.

One of the best meals we’ve ever had! Beautiful cozy historical building in the heart of downtown Tipp City. Everyone in our party raved about every meal we had. One of the specials on the night we were there was a sea bass with coconut rice, and it was absolutely delicious!! The deer filet and filet mignon were tender and delicious as well. Make reservations because it fills up fast but it’s very worth it.

We have always had a great experience here. The bartender John took really good care of us our last visit.

I am one of the fussiest people when it comes to eating out. This February on our trip to Fort z Lauderdale we will for the third time stop at this amazing restaurant. I count it as one of the highlights of my one month vacation. The food and service is second to none.
