A friend recommended Sid to me after hearing I was unsatisfied with the flute repair I had received at a well-established Big Name business. I am so grateful that she did. While I was standing in his shop, Sid took the time to disassemble my flute and show me some troubling issues. I appreciated that and felt more confident leaving my instrument with him. The finished product -- a completely overhauled flute that didn't rattle or buzz -- came in at the estimated price and is a joy to hold and play. Once again, Sid took the time to explain the work he had done. I will recommend Advance Music Services every chance I get! His work is his best advertisement.

After reading the Google reviews, I took an old, used trumpet to Sid to see what he could do for it. He was professional and kind as he explained the process of cleaning and repairing the trumpet. His price was fair and it was done in a timely manner. We are very, very happy with the job he did. It was a surprise for my husband and he is thrilled. I only wish I had taken "before" pictures!

Sid Marlin, the owner and sole proprietor of the shop, is incredibly knowledgeable and kind. He always has time to explain what he is doing to my instrument while he is working on it, and if he has the time is usually willing to do minor repairs while I wait. Would suggest to any instrumentalist, but he is incredibly good with brass instruments specifically.

Super personable and extremely knowledgeable... and meticulous in his approach to repairing and restoring precision instruments. He's the only one I trust to perform any maintenance needs on my grand-daughter's instruments... I trust him to not only fix any problems we've encountered but also to thoroughly examine and find other potential difficulties... and make them right. To say he's finicky about doing quality work would be a gross understatement.
