Hobart Urban Nature Preserve

Love taking my pup for walks here. She is leary of other humans and dogs, but this place gives us tons of room to walk and enjoy the outdoors without she or I worrying we will run across something that will scare her. And if we do, we are able to safely take a detour, and walk in another direction.

The Hobart Preserve is so beautiful. I love walking there. So much nature. The deer are out and about depending on the time of year. Great place for taking photos. ♡

Great urban park located in the heart of Troy, Ohio. A resident or visitor can easily access and enjoy this well-kept gem of a park.

There are numerous sculptures located throughout the park that add to the scenery.

I love walking here. We live close now but it’s very easy to get to as long as you know where it is. A little oasis of quiet. You’re likely to come upon deer, possum, foxes, and be mindful we’ve seen skunks too. Also always, always check yourself for ticks. There are Bathrooms in Menke Park but they aren’t always open and there is a porta potty not far from the parking lot that is always open. There are picnic tables near the parking lot and a small shelter. There is a larger shelter in Menke Park with even more picnic tables. Dogs are allowed on leash but you should always clean up after your pet.

The family and I always have a blast here. There's so many deer and rabbits and you can normally get pretty close to them before they start walking away from you. My kids had never seen deer this close before now and they loved it. There are also several pokestops and 4 gyms at this location. 2 are on the actual trails so you get some distance on your egg hatching and buddy candies

Nice quiet walking trail in a prairie setting, right in a quiet residential district in Troy. Tons of animals, always something to see or hear singing! There's also another park connected by the parking lot, with more outdoor activities related areas, such as grills, picnic shelters, and a playground area for kids.

Nice park to go for a walk or run. There is a playground nearby for the kids. I saw a family of deer on my last visit.

Nice walk through an urban park setting. Graveled trail is well kept and almost completely flat. Saw a deer wandering through the preserve as I was walking the trail around the perimeter. Unusal to see sculptures in a nature preserve; this was a nice surprise! Did not see any restrooms at the preserve.

Nicely blooming prairies, a number of deer spottings, easy flat walking surface, and a few interesting sculptures. Peaceful relaxing spot to visit.

This is a very well maintained nature preserve. It is fairly large and has gravel trails. Even though you're in the middle of town it doesn't feel like it. I found it very peaceful. The parking area is big and there are portable restrooms.

A truly unique urban park, Hobart is a great place to take a lunch in the middle of the workday, stretch your legs on the trail through the pasture, or just relax in the surprising quiet of this preserve.

This is a very peaceful little park in Troy, Ohio. But I would not recommend it for people with seasonal allergies due to the types of plants that grow out there. You will sneeze a lot! But otherwise if you need to peaceful place to meditate or contemplate I'd go there because there are seldom other people there.

Nice peaceful area to eat your lunch and if you want to take a small Scenic walk it's available with a porta John for the restroom but clean

Beautiful place to unwind and exercise. Even saw a doe and 2 fawns

It is a nice area to go for a walk. There is a pond and lots of wildlife. It is a small preserve, the larger walking path is about a mile long. There are steel art structures throughout the preserve. Nice place to take the kids for a walk if you live in the area. You could also do some family portraits here.

This place is a great gem of nature for the City of Troy. The pathways are very well kept and nice and smooth. I do like all the wildlife that lives I. The middle of this city and the deer really enjoy this preserve.

Always enjoyed Hobart preserve but today we picked up food to go there to eat. Needless to say they were a couple there laying in the grass getting it on.yes getting it on like she was on top of him. If I would have children with me I would have called the cops. It was so disrespectful. So we packed our
food and left.

I love coming here for my morning jog. It's well maintained and I even get to see deer often!
