This is such a fun hotel. If you have kids, it's a must. Our hockey team stayed and the kids will have the best memories! Pool table, fooseball, huge fire pit and they let us stay in a themed room. Kids also enjoyed the huge jetted whirlpool in our room. Breakfast was good too! Staff was amazing. We will be back next year!

This is my first time getting to stay at this location, though I have heard of it many times. I stayed in one of their themed rooms, and it was amazing!
Their attention to detail is fantastic, and the room was very clean and smelled fresh (but not like air freshener - a huge bonus)
Breakfast was very good, buffet style with a decent selection.
I am looking forward to staying here again in another of their rooms, I feel like each room will be its own experience.
Very reasonably priced, and very close to The House on the Rock.

This is one of the coolest one-of-a-kind hotels you'll ever find. We stays in one of the "moon base" rooms, where we found a giant space with a hand-made extremely big hot tub. While this hotel has rooms that are approaching 50+ years old, I love that aesthetic. PLUS, the owner, Raz, told us his family will be investing a lot of money in upgrading the entire site of the next two to three years, which is great to hear. Before we left, Raz took the time to show my wife and I around a few other unbooked suites (like "Up, Up and Away" and "Caesar's Court"), which was super kind. This guy is so kind, attentive to customers, and wants everyone to find the same joy in this hotel that he has. If you're looking for a truly unique place to stay, this is the perfect place for a weekend away or any other occasion!

A classic, although showing its age here and there, but that is part of the charm, still just all around awesome. The rooms are so nice and comfy, the ambiance is relaxing, and the staff is attentive.

Was talking with the manger, love that he is passionate about restoring this place to its former glory!

We will 💯 be returning, looking forward to the improvements and restoration the new management is committed to.

I remember coming to visit and look at the hotel when I was younger, my grandparents would take me to the dells, we never stayed there but I always wanted to. Now that I have finally had the opportunity to... It was everything my younger me's heart desired!

I wish the owners all the best, they have taken on a wonderful and historic hotel, and I have full faith and confidence in them and their ability to give it the care it absolutely deserves.

Amazing place. The owner is totally cool he showed us all the rooms. Deff , get away for your imagination to run away with you!! It smells old it's just amazing

Great breakfast, included. The uniqness of the lobby and and chairs, like barber chairs and dentist chairs set up around a giant fireplace in the middle. And a old airforce bomber in the front yard you can actually go inside of depending on weather.

We stayed in the Paradise Cove room. I've never seen such a deep hot tub and it was awesome!! Raj was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back to check out another room soon!

We stayed in the Casino Royal themed room pretty cool big jacuzzi. The airplane is huge idk if its a room but I'd stay in it if it is maybe next time.

Have been staying at the Don Q inn for years, and l wouldn't want to stay anywhere else! The rooms while spacious and clean, are somewhat dated and quaint, which is the source of their charm! The hotel is an interesting and quirky place, with an old time feel to it. As the hotel ages and some of its idiosyncrasies fade with the years, you can't help but imagine how amazing this place must have been in its earlier days!

It's the only place me and my family stay at when we going to visit my inlaw. Very beautiful in side . It's got the original look from whe .it was built, the new owners are great. On Christmas, my husband and I got a fantastic room. It was wonderful. We got the northern lights. It's for adults only so the kids had a room upstairs. Not every hotel would allow that . Very family friendly. Kids love it.there is an old army plane .open to go look at . It's affordable to stay at.

What a fun place. The rooms, while a bit outdated are clean and big. Everything you need- and who doesn't want to sit in vintage beauty shop chairs in front of a giant fireplace?
Breakfast was good- not huge, but fresh and easy.
The pool is in and outdoor- the hot tub was nice.
Take a minute to walk through the airplane!

We stayed at the Don Q Inn last week. Raj was so friendly. He made us feel right at home. Every time we left or walked in he gave us a wave and said "Good morning". It was seriously the most welcoming hotel I have ever stayed at.

The rooms were comfortable and perfect! It was also so close to our destination which was "House on the rock". It seemed like it was maybe a 10 min drive at most.

Whenever you plan to visit the house on the rock, it takes more then a day to go through it all to really appreciate it. This place....its THE place to stay! They have themed rooms as well as regular ones, close proximity to other places makes it great, and there's even an underground tunnel between the hotel and the bar/restaurant which is pretty damn cool!

This place definitely isn’t for everyone but for me it’s a 5/5! One of the most unique hotels I’ve ever stayed at! Read reviews and manage your expectations but this motel is exactly what i thought it would be. Yes, it’s a little dated but the overall quirkiness of the rooms completely make up for it. We stayed in Maggie’s Place and had a lovely stay! It was clean enough and breakfast was good. Want to come back in the summer and check out more of the themed rooms!

For $72/night, this was a really neat place. Lots of atmosphere. It's a little run down, but clean and the cool atmosphere makes up for the worn carpets. No bugs, no smells. Would stay again while visiting house on the rock.

The Don Q Inn in Dodgeville, Wisconsin is a quirky and unique place to stay. The themed rooms, such as the airplane and submarine rooms, are fun and add to the overall experience. we drove past the hotel when visiting friends in town and seeing house on the rock - we’re driving cross country and had plans to stay at a place our friends house. we pulled over to go play in the giant boeing they have parked in the front lawn which is absolutely epic but when i went inside to use the bathroom, i saw the newspaper clippings on the walls praising the hotel for their fantastical themed rooms and my curiosity got the best of me! i asked the lovely man at the front desk, Raj, about the themed rooms and he gave my crew and i a tour of all of hilariously awesome rooms they have, we were so charmed we skipped out on our free offer to stay over at a friends house to spend a night at this iconic hotel. safe to say i am not disappointed and had a absolute blast. i will definitely be coming back if i’m ever in the area!!

There’s no place like this place! If you like quirky and interesting, this is for you. I’d come early and plan some playtime, they’ve got plenty to do. Not new and shiny, more like an antique shop you stay at awhile. Room was spacious, bed very comfortable. And then there’s the airplane out front, I sat in the captain’s chair and imagined I knew what all those switches and gauges were.
