Round Barn Lodge

We had our baby shower at the Round Barn and it was absolutely wonderful. It was a beautiful spacious venue and a great place for our family and friends to gather. My father rented a room for us next to theirs. The rooms were very spacious and comfy. The temperature control was amazing and we were able to keep it nice and toasty. The rooms were very clean and welcoming. I cannot say enough how kind and lovely the woman at the desk was. Her name is Cathleen (or Kathleen) and she made us feel so welcome and well taken care of. She and the hotel were very accommodating ans exceptionally kind. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Went to The Reunion in Spring Green last night for a special 50th birthday dinner. We didn't feel like driving back to Madison, so we stayed at the Lodge. Drove by this place a million times. Stayed in the king suite. The bed was comfortable. Clean room. The water pressure in the shower was great. Took a swim in the pool in the morning. The water was warm and inviting. Great place to stay while visiting Spring Green! Would definitely stay here again.

This place is a gem. Neat little hotel/lodge with friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are huge! They have a large mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave in the room.
Is it an older hotel? Yes. Does that effect the experience, No.
They do not serve breakfast but there is a cute little Cafe that is attached to the hotel that opens at 6 a.m. *prices are incredibly reasonable* 2 eggs and toast for $4. Plus they have a breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwiches made fresh.
They also have a great pool. I did not use it but it was clean and inviting.
The hotel is quiet and comfortable. Coffee is available 24/7.
I stay in a lot of hotels for work and this was honestly one of my favorites. The lady at the desk (owner?) even helped me take some fun, silly, specific pictures of a trio of toys my grandsons send with me every trip.
I would definitely stay here again.
Heck, I would LIVE there if I could.

Enjoyed the comfy bed & clean, warm pool. No bkfst provided, but there is a great bkfst shop (Kelly's)attached to the motel. There is also a popular supper club (Arthur's) across the road from the motel, and a drive- in, if Arthur's is too busy. Spring Green is a 5- 10 min drive.

Clean, quiet, and an exceptional value for for the price. Hotel staff were friendly & courteous. So convenient to APT, Tower Park, Frank Lloyd Wright Center. Definitely would stay here againl

They have a great breakfast and coffee shop attached, good pastries and coffee! Good prices, too. Friendly staff.

Went there for a wedding reception. The facility was nice. Staff were hustling. Very interesting architecture. Worth a visit just to see the building.

The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful, gave us great dinner recommendations! Location was good for what we were there for. Our room was very spacious, and clean. We love staying at small privately owned hotels and were glad we chose The Red Barn.

Small operation but it sure is nice. People are awesome and take pride in the business. If I come back down here, this will be my home base. Biker friendly and near gas, and food.

Pool was comfortably warm. Coffee and breakfast place on site. Room was a little bigger than usual.

Cozy, good customer service. Jet tub was disconnected, but had sign on it.

The Round Barn is like a warm hug. We hold our family Thanksgiving celebration there and the place and staff is so welcoming. The whole place is very clean and they stay on top of upgrades. The kids can swim or play pool; there's plenty of room to play games and lots of space to hang out and visit; free wifi. The rooms are spacious and uniquely lovely. Great restaurant right across the street. Lots of interesting things to do in the area. If you're looking for something besides the usual chain hotel experience this is the place for you.

Room are large and clean. Pool was great.

Attended 4-day retreat in March 2020. Entire facility was very clean and perfect for our needs. Guest rooms were spacious and also very clean. Refrigerator and microwave in room a plus. All staff members were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. Swimming pool area clean and pool warm.
Because of the quality, service and location, will be going back for retreat in September and again next March. Also will definitely use this hotel if traveling with family in this area. Drawback that there is not a restaurant open onsite, however a number of local restaurants to choose from (Grandma Mary's is great!).

My favorite pool ever! I love this pool - warm, fun and salty (not chlorine). I am a local and we come out here to swim in the winter often - for parties and just fun. Nice facilities, well kept and very friendly. Nice hot tub and nice changing room / bathroom area. Great for little kids.

The room was excellent, everything was up to date, even the TV had high definition on every channel.

I had only two complaints, and for most people they would probably be very minor. One was I couldn't get closed captioning on the TV. My other complaint was that the channel lineup must have been off of satellite or something, as the channel numbers for programming was completely scramble from what I'm used to on Comcast. But that was it!

We've been traveling cross-country for a week so far and this is the best place we've stayed in this price range! Great pool that's open late, big, clean rooms, friendly people. There's no laundry facility which we were looking for at this point in our trip, but that personal downside was totally worth it to stay here. The only thing we could really complain about is that the air conditioner in our room was pretry loud.

The best thing, however, was the breakfast! After a week of road food, we really lucked out with this place. Everything is made from scratch and the special whipped cream they make there is DELICIOUS. We were helped by the new host they hired yesterday and he was so good we all thought he'd been working their for years! Great service and food.

I enjoyed this hotel. The staff are very nice. If you're coming from a metropolitan area and used to blazing fast internet, that's not going to happen here. If you're a light sleeper I recommend asking for a room away from the swimming pool and pool table. It can get a little loud. Most likely due to kids birthday parties. The hotel is closed to a couple of eating establishments within walking distance. There's also a restaurant in the premises but not associated with the hotel. Overall I really liked this hotel and will continue to stay here while visiting family.

Breakfast comfort food at its finest! I don't know exactly how many types of bread our server rattled off but each sounded better than the next. I opted for the potato bread (I was on vacation!), veggie hash, two scrambled eggs, and hot chocolate. Everything was spot on! The two gents at my table shared an order of biscuits and gravy, which was enough to feed four, and looked absolutely amazing - if only they had a veggie option! ;) I look forward to returning and perhaps staying there as it sounds like the pool is pretty sweet!

Comfortable room, friendly staff, reliable wifi--this place had all the standard goodies. As a bonus, the hotel is very aesthetically pleasing. There was also a perfect amount of privacy. We were never bothered once during our stay.
