Hixton Blue Collar Cafe

We were immediately welcomed by the extremely friendly family that owns this cafe. After first being very pleased with the congeniality and prompt service, the food did not disappoint! Enjoyed a delicious margarita pizza with some sweet potato fries on the side. Very glad we stopped here on our way through Wisconsin.

We had a wonderful server named Aaron who was extremely friendly and helpful in helping us decide what we wanted to order. He also suggested that we try their homemade strawberry jam with our cheese curds that we ordered and it was off the hook! It may sound weird but it was so good that I had to buy myself a jar. I would defiantly recommend Blue Collar Cafe to anyone looking for some great food. Can't wait to come back. Great atmosphere!

Stopped by for a quick meal while on a road trip. Food was excellent. Good prices, generous portions, and did I mention the food was excellent?! The owner works the counter is more than friendly and gave us great suggestions. He gave us some of their orange-pineapple habanero jam to try with our meal (breakfast). It was so good we ended up each buying a jar.

I randomly happened upon this place on my drive home from MN to IL last weekend. My friend and I wanted something non-fast food, and this was close enough to the highway. Aaron, the owner, kindly greeted us as we walked in. He went through the menu and told us about some of their specialties. I thought I had seen it all, but their omelet filed with sausage gravy is unreal. Probably not healthy, but it's great! Their jams are great too - I left with a jar of orange-pineapple (I think). Aaron knew we had a long drive ahead of us still, so he gave us to-go cups of coffee as well. Very hospitable, great food, and good location. I look forward to my next roadtrip up north and stopping here along the way!

The Pizza 🍕 was amazing! FRIDAY night is a must! Plus their jellies are over the top!!! Id give 10 stars if I could!!!

Stumbled upon this gem today on our way to Chicago from Minnesota. The food was absolutely amazing!! Everything tasted fresh and wonderfully flavorful. Our 5 year old ordered the pancake and it was HUGE!! The owner, Aaron was extremely pleasant and peesonable, and made our dining experience the best we've ever had! If you find yourself driving through Hixton, Wisconsin (population about 400) I strongly encourage you to make this restaurant top priority!!!

Very friendly personal service by a wonderful young woman. Authentic, old time, small town cafe. Original 100 year old counter and good fresh food. We will try to time our future travels to include Blue Collar Cafe's Friday night wood fired pizza! ... Oh and the jelly is great too.

When you think of small town diners where everyone knows everybody and you are treated kindly with many smiles, think Blue Collar Cafe. Last week I found myself stranded in Hixton overnight (after a raccoon ran out in front of my car and wrecked my radiator), so in the morning I was looking for places to eat, and stumbled upon Blue Collar Cafe. The moment me and my boyfriend walked in, we were greeted very warmly and personally by the employees, and they only got friendlier from there.

It is a cozy, intimate, inviting, down-to-earth little cafe where people take the time to talk with you, create a connection, and serve you in every way possible, truly. The staff were unbelievably kind, friendly, helpful and personable, and it was truly a wonderful experience. Just the sort of human connection I needed after a very stressful night. The food was delicious as well! Overall just a great environment and place to be.

What a gem! We stopped for a bowl of soup to warm up on a rainy November day and what we got was the BEST bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup I have ever had. The broth was seasoned to perfection and the made-from-scratch noodles were tender and thick without being doughy. For dessert we had the homemade ginger snap cookie which was crispy and flavorful without being over-the-top gingery. This place is fabulous and worth the extra 2 blocks to drive off the interstate.

Wonderful find in between Minneapolis and Madison. Great food and amazing service from husband and wife team. Local produce, meat and beer. Plus homemade jam! Highly recommend and will be back on the next road trip.

Just stopped at the Blue Collar Cafe for lunch. Amazing small town diner! Aaron had great meal recommendations and suggested spectacular spicy jam pairings. Their habanero jams are some of the best I've ever had. I highly recommend their restaurant and will definitely be heading back next time we go by on I-94. Nom nom nom.

We do not like fast food and are forever in search of those "home cookin'" cafes off the interstate. On our way from MN to Ohio we stopped at the Blur Collar Cafe in Hixton and scored "pay dirt"! Had a wonderful breakfast with incredible homemade jams, corned beef hash made from chunks of corned beef and real potatoes. Nice locally produced bread...Such a warm.friendly experience that we intentionally stopped for lunch on the way back. I had the best grilled cheese (with bacon, grilled onions and tomatoes) on sourdough! I am recommending this stop to all of my friend in the TC and WI. You won't regret a stop here. Also fire up the Woodford pizza oven on Fridays and are open until 8:00pm!

if you're driving through Hixton on a Friday, make sure you stop at the Blue Collar Cafe and have one of their homemade pizza's cooked in the brick oven. AMAZING! heck, it's worth the trip out there even if you're not driving through Hixton. the owner is a super cool guy and the staff are very friendly.

Great little small town diner. Hearty breakfast and stove hearth pizza on Fridays. They make their own specialty Habenero Jams that are awesome!

Fresh breads, sourdough thick cut, made for filling tuna salad sandwich.

Bluebañero Jam on toast was nice, habanero didn't over power the blueberry taste. Aaron's Cranbañero sample went well with sweet potato fries.

Definitely worth the extra couple minute drive off freeway into town vs fast food options.

One of the best veggie omelettes I've ever had with fresh garden vegetables. Outstanding service and fresh ground coffee. Highly recommended!

The service was wonderful, the food was fantastic, the people were friendly, and nothing was incredibly expensive! When I first walked in, I had no idea how great this place would be, it's easy to miss, but make sure you stop by if you get a chance!

Food was amazing! This was a quaint little place that I would consider a hidden treasure!! Stop and eat - breakfast was work every penny (and that's about what we paid too)!

Very comfortable place, owners are unbelivably down to earth and enjoable to talk to, awesome food, affordable too, I would defiantly go here again it's worth the drive.
