1200 Chophouse

If you are craving a perfectly prepared steak, you will not be disappointed! They do not take reservations, so you may have to wait a while for a table. IT IS WORTH THE WAIT! We started with Chophouse shrimp- delicious! And the freshly baked bread with sweet honey butter-delectable! I had the ribeye with gorgonzola sauce, a perfectly prepared taste sensation! The filet mignon, ribeyes, and strip steak were all cooked to perfection. The house salad served with dinner was a perfect combination of nuts and berries, which far exceeded our expectations. It was extremely busy and not once did our waiter make us feel rushed. Our drinks were never empty and the courses were perfectly timed. Bravo! A real steak house with exquisite service in a relaxed atmosphere. A MUST TRY! Extra kudos to RICHARD, our waiter. He is the REAL DEAL!

Just a fantastic little restaurant that cranks out some solid food in an intimate cozy setting. My petit filet had a wonderful char and great flavor. Each steak comes with a salad, bread rolls, and a side starch (potatoes). I recommend adding the Gorgonzola to your steak. My only complaint is the space is quite small and cramped. Once you are seated it is cozy but waiting for your table can be a pain as there is zero space to wait indoors and it can be hard to reach the bartender as the bar is typically full with guests. Other than this, I look forward to going back the next time I am in St. Pete Beach!

It was packed and a bit cramped for dining inside. We had a 45 min wait. Ordered the steak au poured and wow that was the best steak I've ever eaten. I tried the sauce with it and it was amazing!!!!! The baked potato wasn't that great. The rolls would be better served hot. The butter served with the rolls was not the best but edible.

This place was absolutely 💯 a perfect meal! We waited 35 minutes for a seat at the bar (2 of us) well worth it. I looked at the priced prior and thought... better be good!.. well it was. They worked their butts off in the kitchen and behind the bar and every waitress.. and each and every piece of our meal was cooked to perfection. Zero complaints from us! Thank you for an incredible meal!

This place is one of the best steakhouses around! 100% worth every penny! I went here for my birthday a year ago and still rave about the food quality and atmosphere! The dining area isn’t the largest however the food is so phenomenal!! This place is better than berns steakhouse could ever be.

Omg we just had a best server at this place . His name was Ryman. If you are there ask for him . He suggested a good wine for our steaks, exactly how we specified . The food was really good too. We had Ribeye steaks which I really enjoyed with Gouda sauce cause I am a cheese lover. But they do have more options. Also we actually really loved the truffle fries . Anyway the place was good the drinks were good The server was nice and fun. So definitely is a must go place. Love it .

This place rocks, seriously. GREAT service, like exceptional. We waited for nothing. Everyone- hostess, bartenders, servers- was on their "A" game from the moment we arrived, throughout our meal, until we left! Major kudos to the staff here, they understand that great service is part of dining. And then the food: fabulous! Everything we had was perfect. In addition, 1200 Chophouse has a charming, warm, ambience. We opted to dine indoors, but the outdoor dining area looked equally inviting and comfortable. This is one of the best dining experiences we had in St. Pete Beach, if you value exceptional service and food, and quality in general, do yourself a favor and visit this establishment. Highest recommendation.

Great steak, cooked perfectly! The price is great and includes bread, salad, and potato. Prices have increased a little since last time, but that's just inflation! Our server, Jeremy, was spot on with everything even though it looked like he was handling more than his share.

This is one of the best steakhouse on the beach. They don’t take reservations, walk in, expect a wait, get a glass of wine while you wait. You will not get disappointed.

Our 1st time there and it was a great experience! Our server was excellent his name was Max. We had the 3 pound Tomahawk steak, and it was Fabulous! Everything we ate there was really good from the Brussels spouts to the gouda cheese dip on the fries and the fried goat cheese it was all delicious. The salted rolls with honey butter we so yummy! They had the best Creme Brulee we have ever had!!!! Our server Max was so knowledgeable about every dish, and he was extremely positive and very attentive! Our highest recommendations!!!

Small little steak house that packs a punch! A cute place with a cozy vibe and outside seating. The steak was excellent 👌 cooked medium perfectly and was tender with lots of flavor. The truffle fries were large and very filling. The bread and butter were so tasty. Overall, the meal was very good and cost about what I would expect it to. The service was great as well. Thank you!

Arrived a few minutes after 5pm and there was a line out the door. No available parking at the restaurant, but found some nearby. Steaks were perfect as well as the potatoes! Chris at the bar was taking care of business, making sure we had salads, rolls, and good times. The place is SMALL space wise but BIG on flavor.

Amazing food, rich and good taste. Very pricey, but you definitely get your money's worth. The steak appetizer was definitely enough for me with a side. Lol will come back!

This place is EXCELLENT!! We’ve never been there before and always skip it because it’s steak and we want to eat fresh seafood while we’re in town.
I wanted the pan seared sea bass but unfortunately they were out. Should have got there earlier 🙃. We ended up ordering the Ribeye Oscar style and the Filet Mignon Oscar and they were both top notch. The bacon wrapped scallops were so good as an appetizer.
We will definitely be making another trip here the next time we’re in town!!

Sitting on the patio in the fresh air watching the sun set was nice too.

It was very busy but they were still able to accommodate us without a reservation. Our server was very friendly and had recommendations for just about anything on the menu. We eneded up getting thier special for the night which was a three pound bone in ribeye which came with a bone marrow, mushroom risotto, and had a lobster tail as an addition. The dessert we had was a Crème Brûlée. Prices were reasonable and the food was delicious. Would go back again.

Very good food and service with nice portion sizes. The menu isn't large which I love. Some seafood, beef, chicken and pork....and the garlic mashed potatoes are fantastic! Small venue so most likely a wait but not long and it is worth it.

Small but amazing food & excellent service. Worth the wait & the trip! Yes, there’s a fish dish (Sea Bass) at a steakhouse & the truffle fries are so yum.

Most amazing steaks you will find in the area for a very reasonable price. It's great for a date night or if you have company coming from out of town to show off the area.

Our go to is a ribeye that we share with this great sharing policy that they have.

No reservations, so just be prepared for that but it is well worth the wait.
