Hemingway Memorial

Couldn't get to statue but the ride to the memorial was great. Will be back in a ckuple weeks to go up and over to 93. The memorial is a destination for the 2023 PNW Grand Tour.

Beautiful spot to sit on the water or start the Proctor Mountain loop trail

Peaceful spot that Ernie would have approved of. Better known as the trailhead for the excellent Proctor Mountain loop. Easy access from Sun Valley and Ketchum. Amazing views and moderate hike.

A little off the beaten path, so to speak. Nice place to drive and get away from it all and sitting next to a flowing Creek at the back of the golf course. In the woods.

Such a beautiful place, if u follow the trail down and hang to the left and follow that trail it will lead u to a beautiful little spot on a bridge

Nice spot for reflection.

It is BEAUTIFUL!!! Didn't go far because we had prior engagements and couldn't stay long; but it was peaceful and gorgeous. We sat at a little monument dedicated to Hemingway. It has a peaceful pond flowing through it. There's a golf course beyond that, along with pretty houses... We didn't go down the path, far, as I said; but several people came up with it. Each set of people had their dogs with them. Some had leashes on, others weren't leashed but were well-behaved. I'd love to go back to explore it further. If you have a day, or some time (and are able to get there), I suggest you go!!! Enjoy!!!

Nice bike ride especially from the Sun Vally resort. Only a little way down the road and you can decide if you want to go back or keep going on the trail!

Hemingway's connections to this area are very interesting - lots to learn. And once you've seen it for yourself you understand his fascination.

Our favorite spot in all of Sun Valley - I'd rather show a little love to Ernie here by the river, instead of at his grave nearby.
There's always a family or a hiker or two or a dog taking a dip in the stream - it's a nice, quiet place to sit for a few and chat with a friendly stranger about this enchanting place.

We actually had our wedding ceremony at the Hemingway Memorial, so it's a very special location to us!! It's so gorgeous in the fall, and I think that was Hemingway's favorite season. It's great place to just go on your own to reflect. We have gone there to have a picnic and to do cocktails at dusk. Great place for doggies to explore, as there is a dog friendly trail that starts from the memorial.

It’s truly beautiful and peaceful here. I go every chance I get.
