Sun Valley Nordic Center

Really nice nordic center with excellent groomed trails for both cross country and snowshoeing. You can snowshoe right up to the Hemingway monument, and extend the loop with the Bridges trail. The lodge is beautiful, the rentals staff are very helpful and give excellent advice, there's a nice pro shop and a fancy restaurant. Pricing is very reasonable for snowshoe rental and trail access ($20-30). It's a fun and peaceful winter sport, much more solitude than skiing or snowboarding.

This was my first Nordic skiing experience. I signed up for lessons and staff were all very friendly and patience. They’ve got several tracks to choose from once you feel confident. Nice history at the Nordic Center.

This is awesome! Beautiful classic stone lodge, knowledgeable staff, you can switch between skinny classic skis, skate skiing & snowshoe on lovely paths by the river

We had gotten out snowshoe passes here and did a @2-mile snowshoeing trek... breathtaking views, all powder.

I've been Nordic skiing at the Sun Valley Nordic Center well over a decade. Great people, great ski instructors, beautiful terrain. The grooming has been OK, not great. Its not from lack of trying by the staff, it's been the equipment they have to work with. Wow, I went out for the first time yesterday on Leif's Loop. Unbelievably good. Wide trail, beautiful classic tracks, fabulous corduroy. Sun Valley has some new equipment on loan. It may be the best grooming I've ever skied on. God willing Sun Valley will buy the equipment. I'm looking forward to skiing Trail Creek and Proctor.

Fun snowshoe walk followed by a great lunch. Always good food and service. Trails are well marked and have varied terrain for beginners or more accomplished people.

Great use of a golf shop in the winter. Very comfortable and the food at the clubhouse is always great. Awesome deck even in the winter.

For beginners or experts this is a beautiful place to xcountry or snowshoe and get to know what makes sun valley so special.

Some of the best nordic skiing on the planet...just don't tell anyone ;-)

Not the first but definitely the worst trail experience this season. Pass holders deserve groomed trails on a daily basis.
