Unique ship with a lot of history. If you are not claustrophobic there is access to basement of the ship to see the places used by the crew when it was operational like Beds, Kitchen etc. Easy to enter with small steps. Entrance is included with Columbia River maritime museum tickets. Open only till 3PM though.

I’m really into viewing the light ships and have seen a few around the country. This is a nice exhibit and really well maintained. If you like this kind of thing you’ll like this one.

My wife and I took a tour of the boat after touring the museum.
The guide guy was very informative and friendly.

Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man I'm sorry but I'm not going to give even a remotely articulate review. I'm just telling you if you like history, the ocean, boats, geography, Coast Guard tech or anything remotely like that then you have to go here. And best of all maybe is the Lightship Columbia. Basically you have access to almost every space on the ship if not directly then visually. Do it!

This ship is part of the museum next door. The visit is included in the museum ticket. The area is well prepared for visitors.

True my amazing. Well worth visiting. Very nice upkeep. And history that was passed on. Local history that could easily be lost but thanks to dedicated people in their willingness to keep it alive. A location that is a must stop by. Recommended to you kids and adults to see and learn of the history that is slowly fading.

A great place to see and touch history. It definitely takes you back in history. Worth a visit because it is much more engaging than a museum.

Part of the Columbia River Maritime Museum, the United States Lightship Columbia is a great piece of Maritime history. I never knew that there was such a thing as a "Mobile Lighthouse" until we visited the museum.

Admission is included in the Maritime Museum admission. This boat was anchored in the harbor to guide boats in. Later supplanted by a lighthouse. It is just like it was when it was on duty. you see where they slept, ate, prepared the meals and played games in their downtime. Lots of descriptive panels of the fuel it needed to keep the light running and all the food they needed to stock up on as storms would prevent resupply for weeks.
