Cathedral Tree

Beautiful, super easy, with several mud bogs along the walking path after a good rain (bring your waterproof boots). Healthy, but not overwhelming, incline all the way to the turnaround and super wide path for family walks. Path splits and it's a little confusing whether to choose the bridge or stay on the path: go on the bridge because the path won't get you all the way to the great tree spot.

It's often muddy, because it's Astoria afterall, so dream appropriately. Lovely hike.

Short easy hike, our one and a half year old walked most of the way himself! Scenic and fun!

It's a bit of a steep hike, a good workout if you're coming from the column. You can go all the way through to the trail head if you have someone go back up for the car, which is what we did.

Make sure to park at the trailhead, google takes you to someone's driveway nearby.

A good little hike, we didn't see anyone else since it was drizzling and a weekday. Very peaceful. The trailhead is located on Irving Ave, just east of 26th St.

Nice short walk minutes away from downtown Astoria. We had a lovely morning walk to the tree and saw lots of wild flowers and cool bugs!

Lovely stroll up through the forest to the Cathedral Tree. Word to the wise it is really slippery so bring good shoes!
