Safeway

Our Sea Scouts spent a weekend in Astoria and we ordered two, different meals from Safeway. One was buckets and buckets of chicken with two sides. The other meal was sandwiches which we ate at the boat pond at the Columbia River Maritime Museum. OH!!!! Almost forgot the doughnuts! Thank you

Chris in grocery pick up was very kind and a big help today. He pointed out that I forgot to close my gas cap. He offered to close it for me even. Thought that was a nice gesture!

Great sandwiches from the deli, awesome selection of cheeses and a whole aisle devoted to just about every flavor of chip you could hope for. They have a great selection of stuff and have sales on items you wouldn't expect too, I got a $50 bottle of wine for $20.
Staff are helpful and friendly too.

I always enjoy this store because it’s the most affordable and convenient place for groceries in the area including the fuel prices. Another reason is their clean, well stocked and organized shelves.

Clerks always helpful, clean, well stocked, could use more help in the pharmacy.

Large parking lot for a busy store. Parking is near the train tracks and river walk. Nice place to get your pets out for a stroll when you are traveling. There is a Starbucks inside this store. Clean bathrooms too. Gas station is also in this parking lot.

Clean, reasonable prices on most products, gas station competitive with the BIG stores.

So appreciate the variety of choices especially of non dairy items, produce, deli and Asian foods

Organized, clean and everyone was really helpful. Plus, the beautiful riverwalk to get there is fantastic.

This is a well run store. The shelves were full of fresh items and the staff was helpful and friendly.

They are located in a beautiful spot. The view is great!

The parking lot was clean as well as the store. We stopped to use the restrooms and they were clean. When asking directions to the bathroom we were immediately responded to and given clear directions.

We feel that we can give this place a 5 star review and recommend this place.

We went to Safeway to get food from the deli, just make sure you make it before 5pm.

Nice Safeway in Astoria, right along the river with a nice view. Plenty of options for food, and well placed for quick bites as well as picking up regular groceries. Prices were as anticipated even being out and away from large city's quite reasonable. Sandwiches where fresh bathrooms were clean and well stocked obvious of proper maintenance and regular cleanings.

Not sure how they do it but definitely recommend pick up. You can order and pick up same day. I ordered at
10 AM to pickup at 2. 12 o'clock got notification that my order was ready and I could pickup anytime.
Now my only complaint is they subbed frozen veggies for the fresh ones I ordered. I allow substitution it really is okay. But frozen for fresh...
They do a fantastic job other than that.

Very friendly employees. Like I've said before I work for a remodel merchandising company and we go to Safeways and Albertsons. Even after this Safeway had a negative experience with one of our temps they still welcomed us and they were very nice. Smiles all night! I feel a strong family bond in this Safeway and I really hope the unsaid situation doesn't continue to bring anyone there down. These employees deserve lots of good vibes sent their way. Thank you for having us there last night. I had a lot of fun working side by side with you guys.

I just enjoy shopping here because it’s so close to my house, and their hours are fantastic. They still have cashiers which is really nice when you have a gigantic load and it’s close proximity to CVS drugstore and to the 99 Cents store kitty corner they always have a wonderful selection of Keurig coffee, and I love the frozen section. They have quite a few organic vegetables now, and they have quite a selection of seasonal which I really appreciate and I love my cashiers.

Efficiently laid out aisles. With everything within easy reach. Organized and clean, just as one would expect in these times. Helpful associates available and ready to help with any needs. In a hurry? Self check-out is the way to go, barely Amy wait time and it was busy today. I'd say this is the best all around grocery store in Astoria Oregon. I will definitely be coming back to Safeway.

Nice store. Great selection. Good variety. People are very helpful and patient. Kind of like a small-town grocery on steroids.

Have always loved this big, beautiful, well lit Safeway. Excellent produce and floral departments. Helpful, friendly staff. No complaints from us. Don't know how you could possibly make it better, especially compared to our Tillamook Safeway. Astoria Safeway exceeds all expectations.

You know, normally I wouldn't say a word about a chain grocery store, but the staff at this one were very outgoing and polite. Very friendly especially my cashier, he was an older gentleman who had an amazingly outgoing personality you don't see much anymore in people.

It was fine.. although the bone in Country Style ribs that are on sale were completely out at both location displays. But Kudos to the gentleman that was working in the meat department he said he wasn't a meat cutter by he went back on cooler area and got me some... Great customer service.
