Yamazato Japanese Restaurant

The service and ambiance were amazing. Staff was extremely helpful, as I am somewhat indecisive. Would highly recommend!

This is a no-frills Japanese take-out style establishment. I have been eating here for years and the food quality has always been good. The food options have expanded over time, and I have never been dissatisfied. The service is on par for take-out type restaurants, though they have always been friendly and willing to chat. It doesn't look like much, but it gets consistent local traffic. If you eat-in, you will see a steady flow of patrons.

Update - added photos. It has been 4 years since my last review. They are still going strong with consistent service, consistent taste, and good value. They are still a local favorite and I would still be eating here regularly if I hadn't moved further away. Recent remodel of the interior made a nice impression.

went to yamazatos and met the infamous red headed boy who is also Jon, I see a lot of mixed reviews of him after chatting with him he is a nice guy, I wonder if sometimes it’s y’all’s own attitudes who put him off

I met the redhead boy some of y’all speak so poorly off but he was great to me and all the customers I was there with just not the one who was incredibly rude to him

Been coming to Yamazato for 17 years. Never once had a complaint. Absolutely love the food. All the employees are fantastic. John has always been helpful in providing excellent service. I will always continue ordering here!

The food was very yummy. We got the teriyaki chicken and the beef hibachi, both were delicious!

The staff is always helpful and friendly. This is one of my favorite places to go for teriyaki habachi chicken.

Love love the service I received each time I go. The ladies are so welcome feel like you walking into a friend's home. Sushi is always fresh, you must try to tea they are amazing and food is always delicious

Great hibachi place hidden away in a shopping center with Food Lion. Have been coming here for years and always consistently good food and service. Lots of people get take out, but great dine in option too. Ordered the Crab Rangoon for the first time today. It was excellent. The kids enjoy it as well and can make faces in the huge mirror while the adults eat in peace.😀

Always so good whenever we decide to stop by. Huge portions with great flavor! Staff was friendly and bathrooms were clean. My fav spot in the city! And now they have BUBBLE TEA! Taro milk tea was delicious! Definitely will return. 10/10!!!
