The Flying Taco Mexican Grill

We (wife and two young children) stopped by The Flying Taco while on a trip to visit family. Having visited this area various times in the past, I wasn't expecting much when it came to dining. The Flying Taco completely blindsided me. It's hip, friendly, and most importantly, it is delicious. I wish we had one close to us in Florida.

Great place food was good I would probably say best in the area they have a fun menu my family got "big man in a little jacket" I got "when pigs fly" and some kind of burger it was all really good they have a good selection of adult drinks too we got desert too it was very good chiro with ice-cream and your choice of Carmel or chocolate syrup

Very impressive. Loved the Fat Guy in a Little Coat tacos! The salsa macha was a little heavy on a liquid smoke flavor, but everything else made up for it.

Always a delight to stop in. I love the look of the place. The staff have always been great. Good mixed drinks and the food is amazing.

Great atmosphere and good food that is priced around what you'd pay elsewhere. Small menu and very limited for vegetarians but I found the Queso and Chips which I enjoyed. The chips are made in house and were nice and crunchy and not over salted. Husband had chicken tacos which he said were very good and Spanish rice. Overall very satisfied with the meal. The building/decor is fun with lots of bright coolers and cool artwork. The seating is nice with outdoor options of a patio and upper deck.We ate inside but had a great view of the river because the garage doors were open, really cool. We really enjoyed the vibe of this place, and outside it's dog friendly.

I was in the area, just a quick stop to explore Towanda PA. The Flying Taco was a delightful find. The upper deck provides a view of the Susquehanna, and the restaurant gives you that Puerto Vallarta feel... The Margareta needs some work but otherwise this was a perfect experience. I'd rank it as a must stop if your passing through.

The entrance was already different and entertaining with real anecdotes from my life 😅! The owner welcomed us very friendly, we could choose the table and so we had the prefect table with a view of the river and saw the famous resident bald eagle 😍! Food was tasty, obviously with good quality and I liked my Margherita de casa mixed with beer🍺! Highlight for me was surely the churros for takeaway so I could enjoy the riverwalk 😉! And there was a wall to immortalize your memory as a special traveler from abroad 😊!

Love the ambience and the Mexican-inspired decor. Chips and dip were not as traditional as you would find at a regular Mexican restaurant, however, the main courses were incredible! We had the 20 oz ribeye, the Birria tacos, and the Pork burrito. Steak was cooked medium rare, just like we asked and was by far my favorite! Flavor of the tacos and the burrito were equally as delicious! The owner is very hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed! No other restaurant like this in the area!

After a 4 hour drive from New Jersey on a Friday night, we were able to find the Flying Taco open. We stopped in and enjoyed everything about this place. Anne was amazing and so welcoming and the rest of the staff as well. We actually went back on Saturday. I would definitely recommend this place. They also have a game room upstairs. Can't wait to go back.

Delicious yummy authentic Mexican food and more. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Lots of places to sit and gather with friends or chill. They have Mexican options (of course) and some other fare. The atmosphere is vibrant and warm.

Cool ppl, awesome frickin sliders, and not a bad price. Will def be going back, plus the fry selection is banging. Highly recommend!!!!

What a gem! This is an out of the way place that hit the spot. I had the Flying Cow rice bowl and my dinner mate had the Taco like no other Taco. Not one complaint. Bonnie, our server was fantastic.

This place was a really great find- the food was fantastic, staff very friendly, and view of the river and mountain was beautiful. If you come here, do yourself a favor and have the Fiesta fries.

The price was solid as well, for entrees/apps/drinks. This was our favorite place to eat during our trip to Central PA.

Friday night ribeye steak was unexpectedly amazing! The atmosphere and music were really relaxed and service was quick even with how busy they were. Our waitress (Amy) was the sweetest and very patient with my sisters and I as we were on the second level deck (and the only ones left as closing time neared) and she still ran up and down the steps to get us what we needed even as the margaritas started hitting and we were getting annoying. Speaking of margaritas the strawberry margarita is amazing. I won't lie this is the reason we chose this restaurant! Great addition to our area for sure!

What an awesome place!! Food is always SO good!! I went for pickup tonight with my 5 year old son and the owner went out of her way to grab him a toy while we payed for our food. Little things go a long ways!!

Stopped in Sunday afternoon to a very nice surprise! Food, Drinks and atmosphere was great! The owner seated us, gave us a bit of interesting about the business and the staff and menu. For sure will visit again and again!

Unique, fun and lively restaurant for the whole family... Nothing like it in the area! Absolutely fantastic flatiron steak with side salad + beans, rice, tortillas for Valentine's Day special. Zesty flavor, nice size and cooked as ordered. I would highly recommend if available. Also, chocolate covered tacos with strawberries and cream were the perfect, light desert.

Fun, festive atmosphere with character and themed decor, delicious food. Portion sizes are "normal", not oversized. Great service, love this place.

We had 3 different orders of tacos - steak, pork and shrimp, all great. Love that everything seems made from scratch with attention to detail.

Good selection of beers and cocktails - loved the spicy mango margarita.

Highly recommend.
