Blue Ridge Seafood Restaurant

Blue Ridge is exactly what a crab house should be, nothing fancy, just great food and service. My husband is from Marylands Eastern shore and is very particular about his crabs, and these were nice and heavy and cooked perfectly! The oysters were huge and amazing! Love sitting out back when they have live music as well, it's the perfect combination.

Food was amazing. Stuffed Flounder was amazing and the lobster Mac & cheese was bangin. The server, believe her name is Mandy. Super sweet and took real good care of me and my date. Even recommended some of their specialty’ drinks that hit the spot. Make sure y’all find her. She’s great at what she do. Definitely will return!!!

Lots of seating options inside and outside. Staff is excellent, attentive and friendly. Seems kid friendly. Food was good with lots of options. At our table the clams, stuffed flounder, shrimp, sweet potato fries, rice, combo platter and peach cobbler all a big hit! The menu is full of options. We did not go on the weekend but this place pulls a good crowd, plan accordingly. It's on par with the cost of seafood and the cost of eating out.

My husband took me to Blue Ridge for Valentines Day. We have never been there but oh boy that’s going to change! It’s was very busy and we had to wait a little while to be seated which was no issue. Our waitress Mandy was very friendly, helpful and was very patient as we couldn’t decide what to order (the selection is a little overwhelming lol). We decided on the crab legs & spiced shrimp. I have never had crabs so juicy & flavorful before & the shrimp were steamed perfectly. The dinner was beyond our expectations & we couldn’t have had a better waitress! We are hooked for life now!

I absolutely love this place! Best local place for fresh seafood! Wednesday (crab leg special) and Friday (lobster special) nights are my favorite! We have been coming here for 15+ years and have never really had a bad experience.

For me, I will give it five stars on this occasion. Tuesday evening, not too busy. Greeted at the door by a very bright and bubbly girl. A nice welcome. Seated straight away. Server was lovely. Didn’t get her name. Sorry. So nice and helpful.
Our starters were good, server explained various items on the menu and gave some recommendations. Mushroom starter. Haddock for main with plain salad, was so good. Firm and flavourful. Shrimp with entree were good and chunky. We only visit occasionally but I do like this place. It’s basic themed environment, no frills for me is great. Hate fuss. Good tasty seafood. Which is really what this place is all about. My hubs doesn’t recommend the chicken but I am not reviewing that. 🤪🤪. Overall it was great for me. Loved the welcome. Server was fab and I really enjoyed the food

Absolutely massive variety of seafood and there are certain sizes of crab that do run out so by the time we were the first party to arrive on a Sunday morning at 11, they only had M sized crabs left rather than the L or XL. The lobster tails, crab cakes, and my favorite soft shelled crab is awesome. Some snow crab legs as well as cajun boiled shrimp. No complaints about any of the dishes.

This is a well-known establishment located in the heart of Gainesville. The food is excellent and fresh seafood is available. The crab legs that I ordered was extremely hot and open easily. I also recommend the steam spy shrimp and fried oysters. My favorite side dish is hush puppies.

I love blue ridge seafood. The food is fresh and delicious. The service today was incredible with the waitress checking on us frequently. Food was fast and hot and the portions were impressive for the value

My only complaint is that I wish the tables and chairs inside were nicer. Overall, this is the best place to get seafood in the area.

Nice little seafood restaurant out in Gainesville! The prices are very reasonable and you probably won't be able to beat it in this area for seafood meals. You also get quite a fulfilling amount and everything is delicious.

Don't expect anything super fancy or superb quality, just some good Ole fashioned seafood! every order I've made so far has some with two hush puppies, fyi. so if you order that as a side, you're just getting a bunch extra.

I've only done takeout so I don't know the service quality, but takeout ordering is a breeze and they have Curbside Pickup. if you pick up inside, you go to the bar. everyone is pretty welcoming and it's pretty lively inside.

It’s what my life has been missing! Crabby Tots were freakin amazing. Our server Adrianna was great. Friendly, took care of us and answered all of our questions. We will definitely come back to eat and take home some food from the market.

We had a fabulous meal. They really know how to do seafood. Everything was perfect. The service was great. Even though it's 90 minutes from our home we will be back. It's worth the drive.

We now live an hour from the restaurant and still come back. The whole steamed lobster is my husband's favorite, but come hungry because the crab balls and mushrooms stuffed with crab meat should not be missed. Good casual seafood dining. They have upgraded the inside to make it lighter and brighter, a nice touch.

Great food, great service. My scallops were a little underseasoned, but that's almost personal preference. We will definitely be back. Loved the ambiance.

This was our first visit to Blueridge Seafood and we loved it! Wonderful experience and great food. Staff was very friendly and service was nonstop. We will be back the atmosphere added to the great ambiance. All of my party enjoyed their meals.

We recently moved nearby. Today we had lunch...both of us had Haddock sandwiches. Flakey and perfectly done. The coleslaw was just right. I substituted corn on the cob. It was done perfectly. We're off to a very good start.
Our second visit a week later. I had fried haddock and Crab Cake with corn and their delicious coleslaw. Heaven. Lunch was a real taste treat.

We had a party of eight and this was my first time going there. I've always heard good things about this restaurant. We did call ahead seating and only had to wait +/- 30 minutes. We just hung out in the bar and had a couple drinks. Bartender was very nice and drinks were good. Once we got to our table, I had mushroom caps with crab meat....they were awesome and there was no shortage of crab meat on them. I had the seafood Norfolk for dinner, it was delicious. I think they may have been the best scallops I've ever eaten.
We had a great experience and I can't wait to go back.

Peyton was our server this visit, she was awesome! She was extremely attentive but not so much that it was too much, It was exactly right, and she mastered that eccentric service! She was so pleasant and had a great vibe showing she really seems to enjoy what she does. She was really great and made sure we had everything we needed. Been going for years and have never had a bad meal or bad service. Everything is always fresh and oh so delicious. I pretty much have a standing order of fried Haddock and fried shrimp, and it never disappoints even after all the times I've ordered the same meal. It's a great place for large groups also. We've had two 50th birthday lunches there. One on the patio with about 20 people, and one in the exterior inside room so we could have it to ourselves with about 15 people and let me tell you those servers knocked it out of the park. No one waited for their food, everyone's order was correct, and they were very attentive to all of us the entire time.

Amazing dinner during uncertain times. Perfect meal. Loved the lobster and king crab legs. Outdoor seating was awesome. I highly recommend Blueridge Seafood. I recommend the king crab legs with beer.
