Service is amazing. I bought a 4052 there, and the sales and maintenance service cannot be beat. Im glad i got a John Deere, and im glad i got it from James River. I could not be more happy .

Very quick to drop off a lawn mower at lunch. Great reputation and they called in two days with it finished. Nice atmosphere and people. Organized physical plant. Drop off was less than 10 minutes from receptionist to pulling back on the hwy.

In a market where lawn care equipment is in high demand and low supply, James River Equipment in Tappahannock more than delivered. Specifically, Brad Hall, the Sales Rep went over and beyond any expectation. I was looking for a 300 series Lawn Tractor on short notice, and called around to several John Deere locations and was greeted with, "none on hand," "we have a shipment coming in the next few weeks," etc. However, Brad took it upon himself to check inventories across the state and found the Lawn tractor I was looking for on the Virginia/North Carolina State Line. He orchestrated a move from there to here and within 3 days I was able to take delivery. Outstanding customer service and a willingness to go beyond what is expected. I can't wait to give James River Equipment, and especially Brad, future business.

If you've got a John Deere lawn mower tractor or equipment this is the place to take it. They've got great staff, great mechanics, and a lot of times they will work with you on the price.

I ordered a battery, turns out it was on stock. I picked it up with only a few minutes in the store.
John Deere's price was less than other suppliers of the same battery.
