Lazy Lobster Longboat Key

This was our first visit and a 65th birthday lunch choice and it did not disappoint, in fact, we thoroughly enjoyed our delicious blackened Lobster tacos, glass of Argentinian Malbec and incredible housemade Key Lime Pie. From the mgr greeting, who held the entry door and seated us, to our server, and the additional mgr who checked on us, the service was great. From the outside, it’s warm and comfortable ambiance is decieving, but inside there is an intimate-stylish bar and two dining sections designed around a tropical garden patio area outside. From the food quality to its service, the Lazy Lobster is worth your visit.

Don’t sleep on this one! It doesn’t look like much from the outside when you drive by. However, the food is AMAZING! It’s cozy and classy , a bit more upscale inside, very nice ambience inside and they do offer a patio with a little more casual atmosphere outside when it’s warm enough. We come back often and so far everything we have had had been extremely good! My favorite is the sea bass and the lobster escargot. Definitely recommend!

Went on a recommendation from our hotel. Didn’t want a crowded, loud tourist spot. Our waitress was wonderful and attentive. We had the fried green tomatoes to start and they were so good. Then our entrees came and they too were delicious and the presentation was spot on. I would definitely go back and recommend this to anyone. Also, great wine list!!

Been coming to anna maria for years and never tried much outside the island. Heard about thisnplace from a friend and decided to check it out. Not sure why we haven't been here before but we are regretting not coming here sooner. This will be a yearly thing when we come to anna maria. This is a short drive from the island on longboat key. The food was excellent. While a little pricey, it was well worth the money. We only had 1 complaint and they was the lobster bisque. We ordered a lot of food for a party of 10 and everyone agreed the lobster bisque wasn't right but it could of just been that night. Everything else was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting some good seafood and nice place to hang out and have some drinks with friends and family. Shout of to Ben for checking on us and making sure everything was good. They comped the bisque with no questions asked as well.

This restaurant is the best restaurant on this island and possibly in Florida! The Lazy Lobster entree and the Grouper Madeline are so delicious. And the lobster bisque is something I will fantasize about. Ask for Eric to serve you, he is amazing and recommends the best dishes. Trust me, forget going to Anna Maria Island, eat here. It'll change your life.

Had a wonderful dinner last night! The lobster bisque soup and bay harbor meal were delicious. Our waiter John superb and try the fall themed sangria, delicious.

The Saturday evening dinner experience was one of the most enjoyable dinners we had. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Our server, Connor K, was one of the best servers who is very friendly, attentive to our needs and just made our evening so enjoyable for a birthday dinner. We will definitely request him for our server at our next visit. Hopefully he gets the recognition he deserves.

I celebrated my birthday there with friends on Valentine's Day. It was a wonderful experience. John was an excellent server, and the food was awesome! Everyone at our table was very happy with the service as well as the menu selections. The atmosphere was also outstanding! Thank you!

This was my first visit to the Lazy Lobster but it definitely will not be my last! The food was delicious and the service was top notch. Our waiter was very attentive even though the restaurant was busy. We were lucky enough to dine outside and the area was green and lush. A wonderful dining experience.

We met some awesome people from Ohio and they suggested dinner at this place. We are from Oklahoma and good seafood restaurants are hard to find. You can call ahead to make reservations or walk in and dine. There was no waiting for a table inside around 5pm. The place is very clean and classy with candles in the center of the tables. We dressed normal nothing fancy and were well received. The wait staff were all helpful and took very good care of us. This is a great place to take your significant other for a perfect date night. I highly recommend eating here as the food was delicious!

What a great experience. Kate went above and beyond to make us feel so special. She was great with the kids. The food was incredible. The best macaroni and cheese I've ever had. I had the Salmon Rene and my husband had the grouper special. Everything was perfect. We will be back. I strongly suggest you make a reservation because they fill up.

My wife and I took my brother and sister-in-law (11/18) for a nice weekend dinner. Every time we bring family we are not disappointed. From past experience, we requested Erik A as our server when making the reservation. Erik is attentive and provides the perfect dinner pace--never too much wait, never rushed. Unfortunately Erik had to leave early--but we were fortunate Brett took our table. Brett was a match to Erik with the same attributes as noted for Erik. Brett mentioned they also went to school together. The food was fantastic. We ordered 3 starters---I will start with the only negative--the lobster mac and cheese could use much more lobster. The fried green tomatoes and lobster Scargot were excellent. Every entrée (Broiled twin tails, Grouper Madeline and Bar Harbor combo--which I do not see on the online menu) looked and tasted great. A well paced evening with great food and great service.

Just have to give a huge shout out to Michael Garey, owner of Lazy Lobster in Longboat Key! I dine out a lot and most places disappoint in one aspect or another. Not at Lazy Lobster. There was absolutely nothing about my first time visit to Michaels establishment that I could comment negatively about. We were greeted in the most delightful way and seated immediately where we were once again greeted by our awesome waiter, John. John was attentive, accommodating and just overall, the perfect waiter. Our meals came and everything was delicious, even my request for part of my meal to be cooked a certain way was perfect. Dessert was a dream and our entire experience was just a delightful way to welcome Christmas. The long drive to get to Lazy Lobster is so worth the experience. (To have the owner go to every table to ensure you are a happy customer reminds me of the days of excellent customer service, a rarity these days.) If you want a phenomenal dining experience I highly recommend this restaurant!

This place is incredible!! Though we waited over 30 minutes for an outside table, it was worth it for the delicious food 😋 and such a pretty setting. And the heaters kept us toasty.

We went early without a reservation and got an amazing table outside. Food was outstanding, cocktails were great, service was personable. Highly recommend!! Will certainly return.

Wow, my friends and I were impressed with how good the food was and the quality service. Now, we could only get a 4 o’clock reservation but that speaks to how good everything was at the Lazy Lobster 🦞 We will be back next year!

Very good food and very quick service. Kitchen got our entrées out before our appetizer, but the mistake was noticed really quick. We did not mind that things got to us in that order, but they still did not charged us for the crab cake 👍 Good key lime pie! Lobster was cooked perfectly. Outdoor dining is available.

Amazing anniversary dinner in a beautiful location. We had a great little table with a view outside to the terrace. The service from Kasey was outstanding. The food was so delicious. The best scallops I've ever had in both the appetizer and the pasta. Highly recommend!

Truly one of the nicest restaurants in the area food was absolutely delicious and it was served hot which is always a plus for me service was excellent and prices were very reasonable, will definitely be visiting this place again very soon!

We stopped in for cocktails and early bird dinner. We sat at the bar & received excellent service from Courtney, our bartender. The lobster bisque is outstanding. We also enjoyed the fish & chips and the ribs. The meal was evenly paced & relaxed. The manager, Ben, was friendly and welcoming. This was an overall enjoyable experience. We will be back.
