I cannot put into words how amazing Ivy Rehab has been for my children. My kids have been in therapy for going on two years. Our OT therapists Madison and Shelby have become a genuine support system for us . The care, dedication, and patience that they have for our children is unbelievable. They are so skilled, and you can tell that they love what they do. Erin our speech therapist has been amazing, and my son has made leaps and bounds with his speech. They have been a great support for our whole family. Chrissy and Chad, the administrative office staff are amazing as well. If you’re looking for a supportive, caring, safe, and impactful place for your child, look no further, this is it!

My son has been going to Ivy Rehab for a couple of years now for OT with Madison and PT with Fiona. They have been so helpful and patient with my son (and me) the entire time. They give us excellent resources to use and listen to me whenever I've had concerns or questions. They have also been supportive of me in the process of having a child needing supports.

We have two sons that both attend OT at Ivy working with Ms. Shelby and Ms. Ingrid. These amazing women have improved the lives of our sons and our family as a whole. Ms. Ingrid’s compassion and creativity have resonated with our son and we love the trusted bond they share. This rapport has allowed Ms. Ingrid to be a safe place for our son to work through challenges and create strategies he can employ the rest of his life. Ms. Shelby is the perfect fit for our middle school aged son, she has been able to establish a trusting relationship that elicits more than one work answers from a 13 year old. Ms. Shelby has also been an amazing resource to my husband and I and is full of creative solutions. I really can’t say enough wonderful things about Shelby and Ingrid! We feel so fortunate to have them in our lives!

As a mom I was so nervous to start this with my daughter but ivy rehab has made this experience for my daughter so amazing. The big steps my daughter has taken since she started here have been amazing! Ingrid is the one that works directly with my daughter and she has been sooo amazing so supportive so informative and she goes above and beyond to give my daughter a safe place and my daughter has made HUGE strides since working together with Ingrid! We can’t thank her enough!

The physical therapist (Katie) was amazing with my son. She displayed patience and a fun energy for my 4 year old boy (who might I add is very particular in who he opens up to). He was drawn to her because of her wonderful personality. Katie was very informative and explained everything in simple terms. She also took time to send me an email with exercises I can work on with my son. I would highly recommend.

I really love the staff at Ivy rehab. Nora Reed has been an excellent addition. I have seen a lot of progress in my granddaughter’s speech. Ingrid will start occupational therapy with her soon. I’m very excited to see where it takes Allison. She seems very knowledgeable right off the bat. Christy is always so friendly on the phone.

Miss Katie (physical therapist) is so awesome, I can’t recommend her enough. She was so gentle and patient with my son. She always explained exactly what she was doing, why she was doing it and asked if I had any questions for her. She helped us so much. Now that my son has graduated PT, we will miss seeing her weekly!

Highly recommend; we worked with Tatum to help our 4 mo old with torticolis. I was impressed with how thoughtful Tatum was in stretching and strengthening her affected muscles, how purposeful she was in helping our daughter build trust in her and how patiently she walked me through how I could continue the work at home with 20 minute 'purposeful play' workouts. After each session, I'd have 2-4 exercises to focus on, I could see differences in my daughter's abilities within 2.5 weeks. Huge improvements for my daughter and also such an improvement in my peace of mind, feeling optimistic that we were on our way towards getting her some help in a noninvasive way.

My son has been being seen here since roughly April and we absolutely love it!! My son goes for speech and OT twice a week and has improved so much already! He's had Kristen since the beginning for speech and she's helped so much. For OT, we started with Shelby but due to scheduling we began seeing Madison for one day and Ingrid for the other and all ladies have been nothing but amazing and so understanding! With their help, my son has opened up so much out of his comfort zone. I highly recommend anyone to them. Without his amazing therapists, my son honestly wouldn't have made it as far as he has!

Ivy rehab is phenomenal. My daughter sees Kyleigh regularly, and she’s grown verbally so much in the last 3 weeks. Not only has her vocabulary grown, but her relationship with the staff is amazing. When we leave the office she’s is almost always trying to stay and play. Thank you for goin above and beyond to take care of my daughter and all the kids at your office. Keep up the great work!

My 4 year old has been seeing both Hinda and Kristen for speech therapy. He goes twice a week. He is making great progress in a short amount of time and loves to go to speech! The therapists always provide a report at the end of the session. We also have a very high deductible insurance and they have a reasonable cash rate. I’m very happy with our decision to use Southeastern Therapy for kids!

Our six year old has been receiving OT and Speech services since October. He has been receiving these same services through his school system since he was three and, though they have great, we felt he would benefit from additional services outside of school. He sees Hinda for speech and Shelby for OT and they are both fantastic. He seemed a little slow out of the gate, but the feedback the past month has been very encouraging. So encouraging that we are now exploring other avenues in an attempt to get him more services (their physical therapy and feeding services) as well as increasing the frequency of the therapies he already receives. Unfortunately, thus far we have been unable to afford the level of care he needs due to insurance limitations, but that is not Southeastern's fault. The insurance company dictates approved services and fees, not Southeastern. Overall, we have been very pleased with the professionalism of the staff, their ability to engage our child, and their level of service. Our child looks forward to therapy every single week, and we have seen measurable gains within the household in just two months already. I have already recommended Southeastern to two other families due to our level of satisfaction.

We have had great experiences with all of the therapists we have worked with at Southeastern Therapy for Kids. The office staff is polite and helpful in working with scheduling and insurance. My son looks forward to his weekly time at "the gym" and all strategies practiced during sessions are framed in the context of a game so that he enjoys them. The therapists do a wonderful job of explaining complex underlying issues to parents who may have never known their children had a weakness in that area nor heard of it before. They provide strategies for parents to use at home and exercises to practice to continue progress at home. The support they offer to both patients and their parents or caretakers is invaluable.

My 3 year old son has recently started seeing Kristen for speech therapy. She is our 3rd therapist we have seen since he started therapy at 20 months of age, AND she will hopefully be our last! Because we have thankfully found a therapist that completely understands my son’s delay! She knows exactly what needs to be worked on, is able to get him to respond back and she isn’t boring! Kristen is very kind and patient with our busy 3 year old! We have seen a difference at home. He tries to correct his speech when he says something incorrectly. He is able to focus on us to help him pronounce a word correctly. What I also really love about Kristen, is she tells me EVERYTHING they worked on (Ive never had a therapist do this before). She also gives me tips on what I can do at home to help him as well. I high recommend Kristen for speech! She will not let you or your child down!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Southeastern Therapy for Kids! My newborn son was having problems nursing because of tongue and lip tie issues. I was experiencing lots of pain and discomfort. He also was not gaining weight and no one could tell me why or how to fix the problem. After several lactation consultants, ENTs, and pediatrician appointments, we were finally led to Hinde at Southeastern Therapy for Kids. I cannot thank her enough for her dedication and encouragement when it came to working with my son. She was able to teach me ways to strengthen his tongue and mouth muscles that I am now able to continue doing at home. The front office staff was always pleasant and extremely easy to get in touch with. I highly recommend Hinde and Southeastern Therapy for Kids!

Our son loves his OT Ms. Shae. He looks forward to his playtime with her. We have been seeing her for 7-8 months and his change has been positive. We appreciated all her attention our son and are grateful. She is amazing and staff is very friendly also. We will miss our appointments.

We absolutely LOVE Southeastern Therapy. Our 5 year old daughter sees Tatum for Physical Therapy and recently graduated from the program. Tatum is very knowledgeable and always has a list of new activities to try at home, (and she was especially supportive during our pandemic telehealth appointments.) The atmosphere at STK is always so upbeat and exciting. It's obvious that the therapists love what they do and work well as team. Kids seem so happy to be there, our daughter included!

I've searched the entire RVA area for an occupational therapist who is trauma informed and understands challenges for kids coming from hard places. Not only were they able to accommodate us quickly, they accept both private insurance and Medicaid. Alyssa is direct, innovative and dedicated to providing the best services to the families she serves, and ensures the other clinic staff also provide the highest level of services. They will not discharge kids due to behaviors, because they believe in order to teach kids, they need to see their hard times. My kids have also loved working with Shelby, who knows them and we have confidence in. Can't say enough about Southeastern Therapy for Kids and Alyssa and Shelby in particular. I've recommended them to several other families.

I couldn’t be more satisfied here and they have sooo much patience with my 1 year old daughter.. My daughter is spoiled rotten she don’t like to go to anyone but me. Savannah turns into a crybaby when taken out of my arms and all of the therapist here has been nothing but patient with her and she goes every week now. She's really progressing on her walking and strengthening her legs since being in physical therapy I have noticed that my daughter is pulling herself up more and trying to move around more by herself. She’s confident in standing more by herself now. So thank you to everyone there for the patience and hard work that’s being dedicated with helping my daughter walk I am greatly appreciative.
