Food Lion

The staff here are wonderful. I called here to see if they had corned beef for new years day because everywhere else was out. I highly recommend shopping here and the meat department guy was super nice.

Closest/most convenient grocery store to my location. Always comes through when I need a forgotten ingredient and don't want to go back into town. The cashiers are always friendly as well, which makes going to this location a pleasant experience every time :)

We were in need of some corned beef for our Irish celebration. Giant didn't have any. We called Food Lion, not only did they have it, they put 4 aside for us while I drove there.

I like the produce section layout, separate from the rest of the store. And the refrigerator section is enclosed too so seems like the products are kept cool better. The gentleman at the register was efficient and very personable, I loved discussing our mutual military service.

I have been getting a few groceries from here for the past week at (not announcing the time) because it is nice and quiet. The staff is always friendly, but specifically, one particular woman who has been there a while, and I cannot remember her name. I am so pleased to go through her line with my daughter, who is all juiced up from no school. One thing I also wanted to commend this store for is its cleanliness! I will continue to go back here at my usual time. Thank you, Mystery cashier, and additional duties you have acquired🤗

Ever since the pandemic changed the world, they took me in and gave me a job when I needed one most. They definitely upped their cleanliness of the store and even whilst swamped with customers they always went above with assisting anyone whom needed it. A great, well maintained place to shop for groceries with friendly management.

I love Food Lion in Locust Grove. The people who work there are always so helpful, kind, polite. If a problem, they take care of it right away, no questions asked! This store is very clean and neat, organized. The meats that I have bought so far has been tasty. They usually have good deals on cereal, lunchmeats,cheeses, icecream, pizza's, pasta sauces and more. I love the produce to bc they don't go bad so fast like some other grocery stores have on me. You will not be disappointed by shopping here. They know their customers and treats them well.

Great experience for me as I'm handicap and with the new way of life, it's beneficial for me. I'd like to thank the young lady that processed my order as she was very patient and informative. Thank you to the kind lady that delivered my order to the car. She was even kinder and patient. Thank you for having a great associates to make the experience less of a chore.

A clean, nicely laid out store. The store caters to our neighborhood, so it has the feel if a neighborhood market with the class and some selection of a big chain store. The staff is consistent and you know who's going to serve you in the fish department or the produce area. Everyone is friendly and ready to serve.

Our go-to grocery. Fantastic prices and a decent selection of organic and other quality items.

I love this Food Lion. The staff are great, the hours are phenomenal and they have just about everything you could imagine. I shop here at least twice a week and I've rarely had a time where I couldn't get what I want. I would not suggest the fish, but everything else is on par. With regard to the deli counter, be prepared to wait - pace is not key here but you do get what you order, so there's a trade off. It's easily accessible and handy having CVS right next door.

Employees are ALWAYS so friendly & Helpful.. .. unfortunately, they do run out of T.P., & Paper towels really quickly... But, I'm guessing that's a result from this F'd up of a 2020 year.... In such madness, these employees do a Great job. Thanks Food Lion.

Food Lion will always be one of my favorite grocery stores! You can't beat the great prices and weekly deals! Use their sale ad combined with coupons added to your card and the shop and earn on the app and you'll be saving so much! Wish they'd bring one back closer but until that happens this store in locust Grove is my go to! Friendly faces and amazing prices what more can ask for??!!!!!

Always great and staff is amazing

I like this store. You can get the sales price even if you only need one of that item. This is not the case @ Giant Food. As a single senior person on a tight budget, I need all the help I can get. Please continue to honor your sales price even for one of such an item--thank you! However, I do have one issue: Food Lion DOES stock Diet Rite cola, whereas Wal-Mart does NOT. I only drink Diet Rite because it's the ONLY diet cola using sucralose rather than aspartame. Aspartame has long been suspected of causing memory issues. I TRULY wish that Food Lion would stock more than TWO (2) 12-packs at a time!!! I have to laugh when there is a sale on 3 cases, but only 2 cases are on the shelf -- it's always that way. UPDATE: Food Lion no longer stocks Diet Rite Cola. Very disappointed.

As expected. Clean, well stocked, polite staff.

The employees maintain a very positive attitude despite all the garbage from the covid-19, shelves are mostly stocked, new things that are missing on the essentials such as a variety of paper towels but mostly everything's there.

I feel like I've been cheating on Food Lion, because with Giant on the way home I usually go there. But when I go to Food Lion they always have what I need and the people there are really nice. Food Lion was there for me long before Giant came around and I was loyal to them through their bloomin identity crisis years ago, why do I let the new kid get all the attention now?
