Love it!! I’ve been several times, the food is always great. They have unique options such as sweet potato tots and old bay tots. The dipping sauces are delicious! They also do trivia on Wednesday nights.

We've been wanting to try this place for quite some time and today just happened to be the day we chose to go to lunch there. The location is quite ideal. The atmosphere is very nice and very spacious. Played 90's music which was quite nice to hear too. It was somewhat busy but they turned our order around in under 15 minutes. My wife had the Blackwater Brisket sandwich and I had the brisket Grilled Cheese Tacos. Both meals were phenomenal. Large, generous portions and filling. As a small business, I would highly recommend giving this place a try sometime. You won't regret it. A+++ for me. We will MOST definitely be returning. We certainly found a new restaurant to add to our rotation.

First timer. I didn't know what to expect. I walked in with an open palette and am glad I did. The flavor was uniquely different. The atmosphere offered many hand painted images of famous people that wrapped around a stage.

Everything and anything with cheese, they have it. But I love grill cheese. I now go more because of Sunday football. The customers are very vocal and fun. Competition at its finest. Only one issue is their burgers. They are juicy, but you don't get to pick if you want medium.

The menu is a star-studded lineup of comfort food at its finest. Their lemon pepper wings are a must-try; they're not just good—they're 'come-back-for-more' good. As for the burgers, the Fiesta Burger is my go to .

In sum, Gourmeltz is more than a restaurant—it's Matt Strickland's patriotic salute to good food and great times. It's a place where every Virginian—and indeed, every American—can bask in the glory of our country's culture and cuisine. I personally can't wait to return and indulge in the feast for the senses that is Gourmeltz.

Love the atmosphere and the employees are a bonus, especially! Super fun in the warmer months when they have live bands outside. The food is unique and never disappoints!

Had a goodunch experience at Gourmeltz last week. The service was very good and the restaurant was clean. They had local beers on tap. We tried a Coyote Hole cider. The sandwiches were great. I had the Hawaiian melt which was very good. You can get them with tater tots. Love that you can get them with old bay! We'll be back!

Gourmeltz was a vibe! The giant pretzel was delicious! And they have awesome art in there, the stage and murals were so amazing. We got the hot chicken sandwich with coleslaw in it, with a cucumber salad. And the Mac and chz BBQ sandwich with tots. So delicious, not usually a tot girl but these were good! Fuego approved 🔥

There was a kitchen backup when we visited this weekend, but I can't blame anyone pumping out sandwiches this good. In addition to my pizza-like Sublime Shroom Melt, I was able to sample the Chicken & Waffle - you won't need any food for the rest of the day if you go this route. Note that the sweet potato tots come with a sauce that's almost like cinnamon roll icing or syrup - it works really well, but it basically turns the tots into dessert, which may or may not be what you want to pair with a savory melt!

Sitting here now, full and very, very happy we stopped here for dinner! We shared an order of tot ‘chos, their take on nachos — wow! Wife had a pulled pork grilled cheese and I had the brisket grilled cheese - outstanding food! And we’re both taking a big chunk of our meals home - nothing gets shorted here. Absolutely, 100% recommend Gourmeltz! BTW, Jason is a real pro - he knows the menu, and each of his recommendations were spot on!
Just stopped here for dinner - once again, Jason was friendly and prompt...and dinner was AWESOME!!

Unfortunately we live too far to visit regularly, but I love this place. Excellent food and nostalgic atmosphere. If you grew up in the 90’s the wall mural will bring back memories.

Been here twice (so far) once for Trivia Night and the other time was just for a bite to eat. Both times I was met with amazing service and just as amazing food! The establishment was clean and welcoming. Trivia Night was a blast, both the fellow participants and the DJ were enthusiastic and friendly. I would attend again. I’ve never been a big fan of grilled cheese-type dishes/sandwiches in general, but the way they make there’s, certainly has me craving for more. To add, the sauce they serve with tots and the funnel cake fries are amazing!!! All in all, a wonderful place to dine at, and be sure to check out their website for the various events they host.

So let me tell you about my amazing experience ! Just coming to this location is easy to see from the street and tons of parking. They have a car show every friday !! The outside seating is available & has sun block umbrellas. PRESSING FORWARD, the staff was all smiles & greeted me walking in. The waiter suggested delicious additions to my order which i engaged in & was thankful for his advice. I love the different seating arrangements which can accommodate small or large, booth or high table INCLUDING regular tables with the view of the street. Once i ordered my food & found my seat, there was 90's music playing & i seen biggie's saying on the wall.... I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE! PLEASE STAY AWESOME, I WILL ALWAYS RETURN !

This was a very satisfying lunch. My had lunch and dinner out of it. We have to try again when we can get the pour your own tap card and try some of the brews they have available. I look forward to the next visit.

Gourmeltz has been hitting the spot for me since its early food truck days! They continue to nail whatever version of a grilled cheese or melt sandwich they make, all while providing such a cool, fun, and family-friendly atmosphere. If you're looking for quality food made by quality people, go check Gourmeltz out! They just keep getting better.

Really good food, but pretty pricy. Sandwiches were good and the tater tots were amazing, especially with the fry sauce they came with. I also have to say the fried pickles were the best I ever had. I would go back for just the fried pickles.

Food was awesome. Restaurant was nice and clean. They had a family feud style game going and it was fun to watch. Would highly recommend.

The chicken and waffles melt was delicious. The caprese melt was nice and fresh along with the cucumber salad.

What a cool 90s themed bar and restaurant! My grilled brisket melt was amazing. Fun atmosphere with music playing and lots of televisions. Great for all ages. Tater tots were really good and the dipping sauce is great!!

It's an extremely rare thing that I would give ANY establishment 5 stars across the board, but I truly believe this restaurant earned them all in spades. My boyfriend told me about them on a previous trip down to see him, (I live in a different state), and got to stop in today. We sat at the bar. Brian was super helpful, and made my drink the best it's been in a looong time. The sandwich we ordered was really good, and hit the spot. The owner, Matt, came over and asked how everything was, and through the conversation, I found the he's running for Va Senate. Made me upset that I don't live in Virginia. Great job Matt and team!
