Kit Land Nelson Park

The Apopka/Altamonte Springs VFW Post held their Veterans Day Service at the Pavillion at 11 o'clock on 11/11. Chairs were set up in the shade of the decorated trees for the comfort of the audience on a lovely fall day. After the program and tribute, many adjourned to the VFW for a free, traditional lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs with pasta salad and apple pie and cupcakes. Beverages were available for purchase. Both Kit Land Nelson Park and the VFW/Community Center are excellent places for groups to gather. Together, they serve as pleasant places to meet for outside and inside events.

We showed up April 29th 2023 for the art in foilage festival. The park seems to have great amenities with a childrens playground.

Was a vendor at an event here and the park was really nice. It had a nice trail to walk along and a cute playground and splash pad for the kids.

Super fun little park in Apopka. There's a great Farmers market that happens here on Thursday nights, and the vendors are all very friendly and have great products! This is a great place to visit for some nature escape that's close to home. If you still Pokemon there's some great resources here also.

Participated in my second vending event with Specialy Popup events at Kit Land Nelson Park and it was great. Love the park, love the community. Lots of parking, beautiful play area and clean bathroom.

Great place for kids to cool off. Just dont wear jeans partents. You wont be allowed to be in waTer with the kids. Because of the dye, not the materials

It's a nice park. Was there for a craft market. The bathrooms were nice and well kept up! It's a great park!

Fun in summer..splash pad with attendant. So very comfortable & safe. Plenty of shade & picnic tables. Also restrooms directly beside splash pad!

A beautiful place to stroll around and to enjoy a lunch at one of the many picnic tables. I wish I could have been here at night 🌙 to see the lights lit up then.

It is a cool place to take little kids on a hot day. Would not recommend taking kids over 7 or 8 years old.

Went around the Christmas holidays. Beautiful lights. Clean environment.

We love to come out to kit land park! The kids run and play as we sit on the nice bench and talk.

My grandchildren loved it. That had a blast and seeing them so happy was the best

My cousin, sister, and I took our kids here to take a gew Chritmas photos. The park was very clean, and the Christmas decor was absolutely beautiful. The kids also had fun on the playground. We can't wait to come back when it's warm and play on the Splash Pad! 💦
