Gojo By Goorsha

Gojo was a fun experience. The spices in the food were creative and fun. The coffee was good. I was told that at one point in time, Gojo made a bigger deal with the coffee experience, however, the pot, cups, and flavor were wonderful and memorable. This is a come again location. Just really loved the food.

A delightful cup of coffee. The scone we got was fluffy and yummy. Maps took us to the back door, but finding the front door was easy and convenient. Service was nice, and if we had more time, we would have gotten the Jebena Coffee that served 4 people. If you are in the area, it's worth checking out. The sandwiches are incredibly delicious and unique since they have an Ethiopian flare. I at the egg and avocado which was amazing because of the awaze on toasted bread! I had a ginger tea which was perfect.

Are use this location as a reception, and could not be more pleased with the atmosphere, food, and the service. The owner seat with us out the set up of the event to make sure that we have the sound system properly hooked up for our microphone and music. He and the staff also made sure to keep all the plates fresh and our gas able to access the lovely wine and beer, selections, chosen to serve for the event. All the communication in advance of the day of the event was smooth and clear. Everything was done with warmth and love, and I highly recommend that you have service here as well.

I’m a coffee nerd visiting from Charlotte. I had this coffee shop saved on my list and I was very impressed. Raymond is the real deal. He served us traditional Ethiopian coffee jebena style. Ray knows everything about coffee and was great to talk with.The coffee was superb. Local pastry was good. Atmosphere is very cozy and unique. Great local, authentic coffee experience.

I am obsessed with this place, already planning my next visit. The bagel sandwich was incredible and the man working was so nice! The patio is huge so it's great for social distancing and doggie dates!

Love this place. Free for women on Friday nights before 11. They sandwiches are delicious 😋. The music is everything....if you love dancing, this is your spot.

One of my favorite lunches in Durham! I get the vegan bowl, though I'm not even vegetarian. It is just so damn good. Honestly, I haven't tried their sandwiches or any of their other offerings, but it is worth it to me just for the vegan bowl.

This place is just what Brightleaf needs. I had the best mocha since moving to durham almost 5 years ago and the covered patio in the back is so peaceful and relaxing.

Gojo owes us nothing!! It was a phenomenal night everyone enjoyed themselves and was a great birthday celebration for my friend!!! Atmosphere was awesome customer service experience was A1. didn't get the chance to try the food. Definitely will want to experience that the next time.

This coffee shop and hookah lounge is such a great vibe, whether day or night ! I highly recommend. We have a blast here on Fridays and Saturdays! Great venue for private social events as well.

Great gem of a spot in the Brightleaf part of town. We sat on the patio out back while enjoying traditional Ethiopian coffee and 2 paninis. The atmosphere was pleasant and the server was a sweetheart. I’d definitely go back.

Had the Abben sandwich a few months back and have had at least 3 times since, one of the best sandwiches in Durham, also get coffee here almost daily. Great ambience and friendly service!

My favorite breakfast spot in Durham! Gojo is a cafe around the corner from Goorsha (same owners). The cafe offers breakfast and lunch items with really great Ethiopian takes along with delicious coffee. I’m partial to the the Itswat: mushroom, avocado, and the spicy Ethiopian awaze sauce.

Side note: one of the best covered patios in the area!

Really cozy cafe with tons of covered outdoor seating. The panini are incredible and a great price for how much food you get. Also very interesting to have Ethiopian flavors in a sandwich, it's like nothing else I've ever had. Will definitely come back for the Ethiopian coffee ceremony sometime!

I went to the GoJo on a lunch date and it was perfect! The food was amazing, very flavorful and healthy. I also had a Vanilla Latte which gave me the energy boost I needed for the rest of the day. The space is very beautiful and relaxing. The owner was extremely friendly and mentioned future plans for the space. Very impressed and super excited to discover this hidden gem.

Can't believe I'm just now finding out about Gojo. This place is an absolute gem of a cafe in the downtown Durham area. I didn't get the coffee but got a smoothie which was delicious. Customer service was also excellent and they have a huge patio for seating, in addition to the beautifully-decorated interior seating space.This certainly won't be my last visit and I'm looking forward to trying some of their other menu items and pastries as well.

My favorite place for work meetings. The coffee is spectacular! Food is outstanding - vegan friendly options. The music is always great. Staff is kind and welcoming!

We walked to Gojo this morning for coffee and a bite, what a great place!! My latte was VERY good and I can’t wait to come to Gojo with a book and linger with friends when the world opens again- the cafe and their outdoor patio at the back are going to be amazing when the weather warms up. I had the avocado and cheese panini for breakfast and it was exceptional. I’m looking forward to the next time we go back (which will be soon!)

Absolutely love this coffee shop! The coffee, paninis, and bowls are delicious. Great atmosphere for a lunch date, plenty of outlets to bring your laptop and get some work done. The owner and staff are so wonderful. Highly recommend!
