Cafe Mark

Every time I am in Cumberland, Maryland I make it a point to stop here. The food is far superior than anywhere else in the area. Throughout the years I have tried many of their menu items and have never been disappointed. This last time, I ordered an oatmilk latte and a custom order sandwich for my son who has many allergies. I was very pleased with my order and will definitely come back. I also very much enjoy the real coffee shop feel to it, they have a second floor for dining and chilling, with board games and books available for use.

First time ever and I was welcomed with hospitality. The lady that assisted me was very helpful with deciding the best option that fitted my wants.

I opted for the Cafe deluxe which came with two eggs and 4 strips of bacon (crispy like I asked). It also came with pancakes which I opted to upcharge for blueberries, bananas and chocolate chips.

My conclusion is the food is above average with an adult Cafe vibe. Not somewhere where you would take your kids but a cool place to work, chat with friends and most importantly get a tasty meal.

Hubby and I popped in here for lunch during a long road trip. Not only were the food and lattes yummy, the staff was kind and inviting! The whole place felt like a warm hug. If we lived closer, we would be there all the time. I am still dreaming of that vanilla egg nog latte!

Perfectly cozy atmosphere with a genuinely friendly staff. The coffee selection is on point and the food is deliciously fresh. While stopping in, it was busy but well worth the wait.

The coffee was excellent. Smooth and no bitterness. I had the breve, no sugar, and amazing. The BEAT was tasty. Breakfast sandwich. Kids menu great pricing. Lots of gourmet lemonades. Order and get your own seat. 2 levels and very welcoming atmosphere.

Cafe Mark continues to serve great food and drinks in a welcoming environment. Been coming here and recommending this cafe for years and will continue to do so.

Just what I needed on a cool, rainy day- a cup of coffee and a bowl of broccoli cheese soup. It was interesting getting to the shop since the city is currently redoing the street and the sidewalk, but it was worth the hassle. Thanks!

Excellent coffee and breakfast items. We loved how it is decorated. Very cozy and warm on a cold day (10 degrees for us). Service was fairly quick despite having several costumers ahead of us. Will definitely return soon.

Came in visiting from out of town as was really impressed. Staff was really friendly and knowledgeable giving drink suggestions. The drinks were all great and the food was top notch. I had the turkey tornado and was blown away. The ambiance was also great and we spent a long time playing games and enjoying each other’s company. We even came back for lattes a few days later when we were around. Overall would strongly recommend -BJ

Great little spot with really tasty brunch food. Staff was good and the entire place had a great vibe. Really enjoyed my PawPaw lemonade and the reading area upstairs. The Microwave cooking book was a great time killer while we waited on our food.

I had the ScramBowl (potatoes scrambled eggs, peppers, onions, cheese, sausage) and my wife had an omelette. Both were delicious!
Coffee was great and the service was SUPER FRIENDLY!
The street out front is being renovated so it’s a little tricky to see, street and lot parking are around the corner on the next block.

It was a busy Sunday morning so the food took a little while but it was well worth the wait! We will definitely return! Great proximity to the GAP Trail & C&O Canal Trail junction. Bikers, hikers, & runners definitely go check this place out!

We went here for breakfast. The pancakes were excellent. Light, fluffy, and yummy. The Blueberry crunch French toast was also good. The omelette was ok, but probably wouldn't get it again. The smoothie was Excellent! Would come back just for the smoothies. They have a cool open dining area upstairs in the back. With cozy chairs, a book exchange, some fun board games, and sofa. It is a great place to meet someone for coffee and just hangout. Will be back!

This was my first time stopping at Café Mark. The ambiance and decor was great, the food was delicious and the coffee was great. I would repeat.

When the omelette arrived, I thought it was a bit small but it was packed with filling. The omelette filled me up.

I thought the flavor of the potatoes was delicious but it did have quite a bit of pepper. For someone that doesn’t like pepper, I would request the potatoes with little or no pepper.

Awesome place! The interior decoration is super nice and classic. Definitely makes the most of what Cumberland provides, which is a classic town with amazing architecture. They have taken advantage — it’s worth a visit just for the atmosphere. Coffee is on par with a higher end coffee shop and doesn’t disappoint. They even made a custom sandwich for my high maintenance self. Great place to work from, read, and hang out. Enjoy! 😄

If you want a special drink, ask this cute little barista (whose name starts with a B) to make you a lavender express. She is kinda a go hard or go home kinda lady though so make sure she goes light on the lavender.

Wow! This place was fantastic. The coffee drinks are so good and very flavorful! The atmosphere of the shop is amazing and has a very welcoming and relaxing feeling. The food was very good and was cooked in front of you I really liked that. The only downside is they don’t have any hours in the afternoon which makes it hard to visit and prices are a little high. Overall an awesome experience and will be a repeat customer now.

Great! From San Diego and this place is the closest place I’ve been in and around Cumberland that actually feels like home. Got the chai late and butter pecan French toast. They put real butter on the griddle and real pecans and then plopped the French toast on top and coated both side and yummmmmmmmmmm!!!!! Most places would just have butter pecan flavored syrup and send you on your way. I also had the fried potatoes and I’ve never had something that didn’t need more salt or seasoning or sauce but these were perfect and gone within seconds. The place had a nice vibe, very inviting, comforting, and the staff were very nice! I’ve already been back again and will probably try every vegetarian thing I can here!

10/10 Recommend! Local coffee shop with delicious food and drinks, cozy decor, friendly staff. We’ve been here a few times and the wait can be a little long but that’s because it’s a smaller place and they make a lot of their food in house, so it’s well worth it. It also can get pretty busy because it’s a favorite for both locals and tourists. So good!

Hands down the best vegetables I’ve ever put in my mouth. Just phenomenal. The desserts were far above par and they paled in comparison to those roasted veggies. Idk how but it’s true.

The staff were nice and accommodating for switching up my sandwich order. The ambiance is really nice and relaxed. A bit tricky to find with the construction and all but absolutely worth it.
