Haystax Restaurant

It has been a while since I visited Haystax restaurant. The place has always been good, but it seems to be even better now. Food was great. Service was great and the atmosphere was nice. I was very pleased. They offer both side dishes and premium sides and have a pretty nice and large menu. I wanted some fried green tomatoes but did not want an appetizer portion and I found they had a premium side with the perfect amount of fried green tomatoes.

Absolutely amazing breakfast & lunch spot. Food is inexpensive and was high quality/quantity. The desserts were only 3 dollars each and were absolutely delicious! This is the sort of place where it would be easy to become a regular. Their menu is large and so far everything I’ve tried has been really good. We will definitely be back!

We moved here 1 year ago and this has been our “go to” spot for breakfast , lunch or dinner. Food is very good, (Gordon Ramsey need not train the kitchen staff here, they hold it down). There’s daily “all you can eat” specials and senior menu prices that are all great deals $ . The servers are what really brings us back though! They are super down to earth, very friendly and welcoming to all and boy, do they hustle! They work as a team better than any place I have ever been to (you’d think they pool tips but they don’t). It’s a large space, tons of seating, and accommodation for large families, so rarely will you have to wait in a line, if at all. Love this place!

My Dad is local and brought me to this restaurant, we had a great time. The staff was welcoming and friendly and the food was great. I had the Philly Omelet with house fries. It was all really good and tasty. I also had a side of grits that were good. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town.

I found this restaurant while sightseeing around Mt. Dora. You may need to drive to this restaurant since it’s about 2 miles from Historic Mt. Dora. This is an awesome throwback diner! The food is great and staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. Food was cooked to order and the cook was spot on making our burgers just past medium rare. Menu items are farmhouse style food and the portions will definitely fill you up. If you leave here hungry it’s your own fault! I will eat here again when I’m in the area.

There's a lot of options on the menu for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They also have weekly AUCE specials and daily specials on the board. I enjoyed the Knight's Breakfast with hash brown casserole, Grits, sausage links, two eggs and sausage biscuit with gravy. Everything came out hot and fresh. If the onions in the casserole were chopped smaller and cooked longer it would've been perfect. The AUCE pulled pork was good and very filling. The prices were reasonable. The service was great. Lady's were super nice!

Located in a strip mall you might miss this from the street. But it is worth crossing the railroad tracks to eat here. I had the meatloaf special with 2 sides, in my case fried okra and macaroni and cheese, and it was excellent. Reasonable price for a good sized serving.

Very good service from a long-time employee. I've eaten here untold times and friendly service is the norm. That and the coffee is why we always come back. Oh, and the price of meals is quite reasonable too. So, add 'em up --- good service, good coffee, plenty of food, interesting decorations for each holiday season, opens early, lots of parking available, plenty of booths. Sounds like a 5++ to me. Nice job, keep up the good service and cooking. The only thing we didn't care for is the vegetable oil spread they give you for pancakes.....tastes terrible.

We come here most Sundays after church. They are very busy but keep up with the demand. Best Blueberry pancake around! We love coming here. It's become our "go to".

We went to Haystax for Breakfast & this is what breakfast is supposed to be! We went with friends & had a great experience. Attentive server, very crowded restaurant, but we were able to find a table for 4 with room for my Service Dog. The breakfast menu is good old southern, diner, comfort food. They also have that wonderful diner coffee that is impossible to replicate at home or to find anywhere other than diners. The restaurant has generous portions. Thankfully the restaurant has a lot of seating space, because they need it, but even when busy you can usually find a table or have a short wait for one. The rest of the large menu looks good, but I can only speak for breakfast as we haven't made it for lunch or dinner yet. I recommend to breakfast lovers & we will be back!

Good food, Great menu ,Good service, Good prices! What more could you ask for!

This place is fantastic, a little bit of everything , hometown eatery. Personally, I'm still getting used to the look of the new location. But it still carries that same warm, friendly atmosphere. Those guys make you feel like a priority whether there's just you or a packed house. The food is great and consistently so on visit after visit. I mean, yesterday, I had the Deuces, 2 eggs🥚 . 2 pancakes, 2 sausages, and 2 bacon for 6.99! And the bacon 🥓 in NOT that see thru peice of paper you often get nowadays. My only suggestion is to make sure you remember they're in the new location over near Dairy Q. Until next time, Haystax, more great food and great conversations with our waitress of our shared love for Hamilton 🌟! Lol

Absolutely amazing! The hash browns had so much flavor, and the omlett was fantastic. Great service. Fast and friendly. They should open more restaurants!

The food was delicious. Dessert's could use being thawed out B4 being brought to u. The server was nice but we sat there a 1/2 hr. B4 our order was taken and it was another 1/2 hr B4 we got our meals. So that was slow. Again she was very nice.

Eustis restaurant soon moving to Mount Dora. Excellent breakfast. Well run and busy with good service

Waited a the table 15 minutes wail they all were behind the counter looking around at nothing. FOOD was Bad Real Bad!!! Floors were dirty Never been cleaned!! Will Never Go Back
