Funky Pelican

In town visiting family and locals all recommend this as a “go to spot” so we meandered our way there. It was a Sunday and breakfast was in full swing. There were outside patio options seeing the dock and ocean and comfy booths inside. The staff greeted us promptly and were attentive and knowledgeable for our entire time there. The menu had something for everyone to choose from. The food did take quite a long time but it was a busy morning so keep that in mind. Overall I enjoyed the restaurant and what it had to offer for views and food. Cheers!

I enjoyed coming here! The waiters were nice and friendly. The food was affordable and delicious. Some things they need to improve on are cleaning the bathrooms a bit more and filtering the water. The water tasted weird like it was with chlorine, but all the other food was nice and tasty! Definitely will come here again!

One of the best seated meals, service, friendly professional staff and gorgeous views. Even the birds were well behaved.
Unexpectedly generous portions from appetizers to main meal and the beverages arent the usual watered down beach versions. Been a few times and each time received friendly welcome as you enter, being seated and served. Ordered a variety of dishes and they have been consistently prepared well, presented nicely and served by engaging staff. Kudos to the chefs and quality control leaving the kitchen. All of my out of area visitors I take there praise the food and service. One of my best local spots. Go. Enjoy the views and the meals. Definitely worth repeat visits.

Located on the Flagler Beach Pier, this locally owned gem has excellent food & service. Nice, clean restrooms. Outdoor dining & huge picture windows in the indoor dining room. Food is very fresh. Bacon-wrapped shrimp was excellent. My husband raved about the clam chowder & fish-n-chips. I tried it & the fish was very light & flaky.

Ate brunch here. Waitress was polite and helpful. Views of the beach are great for the tables next to the windows on the south side of the dining area or on the deck. Crab Cake Benny and Meat lovers omelet were great. Don't forget to write on the chalk board out front. Swing by 97.3 FM just south of the entrance while your there.

We ate here in October for the first time and it was delicious! The garlic chicken cheesy pasta was good, and a generous portion size. My husband had the steak and shrimp and he was also very pleased.

I surprised my husband for his birthday with a trip to Palm Coast for the weekend. We went to the Funky Pelican for dinner and it was so good we had to come back for breakfast. And with an ocean view to watch the sunrise, this place is amazing.

Absolutely fantastic! Here for vacation and had to come back the next day it was so great! Highly recommend the twisted shrimp appetizer!

The Funky Pelican is one of our "go-tos" when we're in Flagler Beach. We love the simple laid back atmosphere with an amazing view of the ocean. The service is always great. All of the staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcomed.

Grilled Jerk Mahi Taco with Island Rice is a simple dish. It doesn't need to be "churched up" (a bunch of sauce and stuff). The seasoning with the fish and fresh pineapple salsa paired well with the island rice.

Philly cheese steak flatbread was savory and tasted just like a Philly cheesesteak on a pizza. The steak was so tender and flavorful.

I'm from Maryland and when I say you need to order The Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, you need to order the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp! This is seriously the best bacon wrapped shrimp I have ever had! You get 6 shrimp served on two skewers. The Bacon was cooked perfectly, not chewy and wrapped around the right size shrimp. The pineapple and bbq sauce complement each other well and dance on the taste buds just right.

Small garden salad, self-explanatory. Lol.

So if you're in Flagler Beach, stop by the Funky Pelican for some amazing food with a great atmosphere and swag! Don't forget to leave a little doodle outside on the giant chalkboards!

Food was amazing, the service was perfect and the view just couldn't be topped.

The food was so good! The atmosphere and views were pretty awesome as well. We came for a late lunch on a Saturday. We had no wait to be seated (family of 6). Food came out quickly and was so delicious. We enjoyed looking out at the beach goers and up the pier. The bathrooms were very clean and nice with hand scrub. The only negative was that the tables were sticky- seemed to be poorly finished or cleaned with something weird.

Epic location on Flagler Beach. Sit outside, bar seat facing the ocean, aside the pier. Big wave therapy, golden sand, free parking, and the place to be.

It’s always nice to eat at places with great food that is near to the ocean.

Everything was absolutely delicious, the place and service are very welcoming. We found this place in the middle of our road trip and was such a good experience.

A+ Great views and laid back atmosphere. We had a group of ten and was seated within 45min. Server was fast, knowledgeable and polite. Food was delicious. We will definitely be back!

After living in the area for 4 years and dining at the Funky Pelican numerous times, as well as many other Flagler Beach eateries, we have concluded, after eating there tonight, that the Funky Pelican is an outstanding dining value with excellent service and great beach atmosphere. Today, my wife and I each had fish sandwiches and they were large, fresh and delicious. We got a very generous portion of fries and coleslaw. Both prepared to perfection. Thank you to the Funky Pelican for being a consistent great dining value at Flagler Beach.
