Metro Diner

On our family vacation recently, our 1st stop, we had the pleasure of dining at Metro Diner, that left US absolutely impressed. The dishes that we tried were absolutely delicious & full of flavor, making for a truly unforgettable dining experience.

Firstly, my wife ordered the Charleston shrimp & grits which were out of this world. The grits were made into a cakes & perfectly cooked, top with a creamy sauce & served with large succulent shrimp that had been expertly seasoned. The dish had just the right amount of spice, the flavors were well balanced, making it a dish that my wife would order time & time again being that she is a huge fan of seafood.

I ordered, The beef tips served with homemade mashed potatoes with mushrooms & brown gravy, The beef was cooked to perfection, & the mushroom gravy was rich & flavorful. The mashed potatoes were creamy & smooth, with just the right amount of butter & seasoning. It was an incredibly satisfying & comforting dish that left me feeling completely satisfied.

Now on to The crispy, yet juicy chicken & fluffy waffles with strawberry butter was another standout dish. The chicken was cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior & juicy, tender meat. The waffles were light & fluffy, with a delicious hint of sweetness that paired perfectly with the savory chicken. The strawberry butter added a lovely fruity flavor that brought the entire dish together.

The portions were very generous, even the kid’s menu had LARGE portions making it great value for money, & we appreciated the effort put into the presentation of each dish. The flavors & textures were all expertly balanced, making each a true delight.

Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious, satisfying meal. The shrimp & grits, beef tips & mashed potatoes, the chicken and waffles were all exceptional dishes that were full of flavor and made for an unforgettable dining experience. We WOULD DEFINITELY BE BACK!! Definitely a memorable dining experience that left a lasting impression.

Very pleasant and clean diner. Food was perfect. Greeted with a smile when we walked in. Service was immediate. Server was very polite and friendly. Every server that passed by offered coffee refills. Croissant breakfast sandwich was perfect along with perfectly made over easy eggs and a Belgian waffle. Highly recommend especially over chain restaurants in the area.

I like the flavors of the waffles always and also the bread pudding. But for some reason the chicken does not taste the same. Still good though.

Nice diner I was greeted as soon as I walked to the door and seated with no waiting, my table was nice and clean. I ordered the protein breakfast which includes four eggs, bacon, and turkey sausage. Everything was cooked perfectly. There's lots of parking . I noticed an outside deck which looks like a nice place to sit when the weather cooperates. The deck has a roof and is in the shady part of the building. I would definitely come here again.

Sat at the counter had the classic eggs benedict. It was great to see the guys on the grill working in perfect Harmony waitresses great service was great food was great

The Egg, Avocado, and Bacon Bowl with Hash Brown's and Hollandaise Sauce was Excellent!

This place was awesome. The portions were huge. We stopped while on our way home from vacation and so glad we did. Was a great atmosphere and the staff was friendly and very helpful. The food tastes great and you can tell it was prepared with care. Awesome place to eat and we will be back if we are in that area again.

I Love Metro Diner. My daughter & son-in-law told me about it. We had breakfast the other day & it was delicious. I especially Love fish fry on Friday night. I love fish & chips. It’s nice & clean &’people are friendly. Thank you Metro

The food and service was wonderful!! This will be a regular stop whenever we are in the area. The chicken and waffles and the shrimp and grits were amazing! The reuben and the biscuits with sausage gravy were also good.

The Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and the Chicken Tender were both pretty flavorful. You get fresh food for a reasonable price and the service was on point.

The food here is soooooo delicious!! The atmosphere is great albeit the indoor space is a bit small. We opted to sit in the heated outdoor seating area, which was super relaxing and pleasant despite the weather. The diverse menu offers something for everyone and you can order 1/2 portions of anything they offer! The biscuits and gravy here are the best ! 5 stars, highly recommend you give this place a try !

Corned beef hash with poached eggs. Breakfast pizza. Everything was great. My wife and I eat here alot and have never been unhappy with the quality of the food or service. Sarah was our server, for like maybe the 3rd or 4th time, and she is always very attentive to our needs. Love this place!!!

We visited Metro Dinner for breakfast today and our meals were amazing. I had the Bissell breakfast with cinnamon roll pancakes. The food and service were both on point. Cheryl our server was attentive and friendly. We frequent this restaurant because even if they don’t get it right the first time they take accountability and will make it right. I love our local Metro Dinner and will continue to visit weekly because of the service and food.

The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. Although they were busy, the food came out quickly. The portions are large so I had to get a doggie bag. The Metro Diner was on Guy Fieri’s show, Diners Drive-ins and Dives. I would definitely eat here whenever I’m in town.

Food was wonderful stopped for brunch and had such a good experience we came back for dinner the next day. Our server Renee was wonderful and very helpful!

I come in all the time and sit with Gabriel and Gracie being my server and they are both absolutely amazing. So a tentative, and just the sweetest people. All their food is great, I have never had a bad experience.

Great for breakfast, lunch and dinner - I’ve been here many times with my wife and kids and we’ve never been disappointed. Sometimes during peak hours there is a wait - mostly on weekend mid-mornings (brunch times). Waiters and waitresses are usually nice, definitely a diner atmosphere / vibe - so pretty loose and quick.

For breakfast we love the crab cakes Benedict or any kind of omelet. I personally love the corn beef hash and eggs - they also have specials all the time and we try those when we can.

For dinner I love the fried chicken, and my family loves the cheeseburgers - they have gluten-free buns and bread as well.

They serve beer and wine - limited choices but I like the options. I really like the local IPA they serve.

Recommended for any time of day.

Always great food and great service!! Best country fried steak anywhere! Great selection of food. Never had a bad meal. Ordered many different items from the menu and everything is always great! Flavored coffee available as well. One of our favorite places to eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner you can't go wrong having Metro Diner!! Always a great experience. We always go in and ask for our favorite waitress!!

One of the few places that consistently has great service and the food is always good.
I recently tried the teriyaki steak bowl, and the rice tasted like minute rice( which I normally would not eat at all).The meat was really good. If they used long grain rice the dish would be awesome.

Everything was great. Strongly recommend!!

The items we had were coffee, red and white sangria, steak and egg bowl(added jalapenos), breakfast burger, croissant french toast and biscuits and gravy. Everyone loved what they got.

The prices, especially drinks, were incredible. I normally like to get a mimosa with my breakfast on special occasions but their prices were so reasonable on drinks i got two sangrias with my breakfast!! $4 for a decent sized sangria, yes I will! Around $3.50 for mimosa as well.

The service was great also. We sat outside even though it was a bit cold. Their heaters were sadly broken but it is enclosed and that helped block the wind!

The patio is dog friendly!!
