Food City

Always love my visits to Food City. There are a lot of great people there that go out of their way to help out.

Today, a courtesy clerk saw I was getting a cart, helped me with it, and was very polite the whole time. Sadly, I didn't see his name.

Although, if you go in the morning, there are not many courtesy clerks, so there are not many carts inside the store, which can be inconvenient.

I always have a great experience with the deli staff and the cashiers I use. I am picky, so I have my cashiers I go to on the regular. The ones that have a welcoming attitude, which helps me greatly due to health issues.

Thank you for a shopping experience without great hassle. Food City is my go to place.

I went there... found everything I needed for a pot of spaghetti...not overpriced... friendly and courteous service and reasonable prices. I went early...no wait...the store is labeled nicely to be able to find what you need. Most important...they carry a great selection of 🍻!

Clean store great people working there, fresh produce every time we've been there

The people here are so helpful and friendly and I enjoy shopping here. Their Pick 5 fruits and vegetables for $7 is a major plus for me!!

I just moved to Lafayette and this was my first visit to the grocery store to restock the house and fridge - and I don't think I could've asked for a better experience. I think what highlighted it was just the people - they were so kind, friendly, and hardworking. I have been to places where it is so clear the employees hate their jobs or some circumstance in their lives and toxify the environment with that frustration, but these individuals seemed to authentically enjoy being there or at least interacting with and helping the customers. One occurrence that impressed me was I overheard an exchange between an upset customer and clerk in one of the departments who (customer) was very irritated that his order wasn't taken or he wasn't helped. The clerk was so calm, inviting, and understanding, instantly jumping in with friendly social banter and helping him; the speed of his change in mood was remarkable. I was helped by Jan at the counter who couldn't have left a better impression on me as I left the store. She was kind, funny, informative, and accommodating, welcoming me warmly to Lafayette as I left.

In terms of the store itself, it is exceptionally clean, well stocked, vibrant, and affordable. As someone who enjoys grocery shopping, I had a field day inside. I venture anyone would have a hard time thinking of items the store doesn't carry than does. My only disappointment was the lack of vegan options such as lunch meat, but that's a very minor thing in the shadow of the whole experience. I cannot wait to go back.

Picked up the holiday turkey and fixings. Easy to order online and the deli employees were friendly and very helpful. Just one box for everything when you pick it up, just heat and serve.

Just went through Ivy’s checkout line. Sooo sweet, friendly and kind!! Definitely a breath of fresh air to speak with her for the short period of time that I got to! Glad I didn’t go through self checkout like I normal would do. From now on I’ll definitely go through Ivy’s checkout line when she’s there!!

Always loved food city, fresh fruit and veggies, clean store, and the employees here are awesome, my 80 year old stepmom got sick and couldn't walk, was really dizzy, the man delivering Cokes went and got her a ride on so I could get her back to front of store, and the guy working the meat counter was awesome too, he went to the deli and got her some ice water, and he was really busy because of the meat sale going on, and the cashier's that waited on us were really patient with us and very kind, THANKS FOOD CITY

I always get in and out quickly. I also save money shopping here. I love the Lafayette store.

I use the pharmacy services. Always a pleasure. It's always a pleasure seeing that pretty smile on the face of that pretty pharmacy tech, Madelyn. Likewise, Clint has been a kind and helpful pharmacist in my experience.

Love all the improvements and new hot food and salad bar at our store location. I actually shop in this store more than at Walmart now. Really enjoy making my own fresh salad, the cakes are awesome. Absolutely love the non dairy whipped cake topping option. Very Clean store. The employees are and have always been very friendly and helpful.

We love food city. Clean. Newlt remodeled. Everything clearly marked. Always in stock. Good sales. Regular prices are a tiny big more than the big blue box store in town but the experience is much better. Friendly people.
Awesome deli, bakery, produce and salad bar. Meat department is great for a small town too.
Has a pharmacy, but Ive never used them.

Food City Pharmacy has the lowest prices within my prescription plan and the pharmacist, Clint, is such a super nice guy. I always do a little shopping for things I can't get in the stores where I live too. The store is always clean and everyone is always friendly!

Store is always clean. They have a great selection of many different products. There is a product that they carry that I cannot find anywhere else. Staff is super friendly and always willing to help a customer. The only problem that Food City has is that customers tend to cluster together but that is an issue that is no fault of the company. Love the way the store is set up and the deli is awesome. Great service and great prices.

Best grocery store in town. They are very competitive. They just expanded the deli and offer food at a great price. They run big sales. The food is very fresh. On Fridays and Saturdays they smoke meat and sell different typed of fresh smoked meat at a great price. The smoked meat is so tender an flavorful you'll be back for more.

I love to shop here. Place is clean great selection. One of the best places for groceries and the food made at the store is amazing

I do a lot of shopping at Walmart. I wanted something they did not carry. I stopped of at Food City. Not only did the have what I was looking for, the store was well appointed, well lit, and a pleasure just to be the their environment. It is a grocery store and really stocks food. There is a butcher shop, stocked from fancy to familiar (with appropriate prices for all offerings). Produce is well stocked and the bakery has everything you might want or crave. Yes, it is a few pennies higher than Walmart, and only a few pennies. Feeding a few hundred close friends it might be noticeable and generally not an overwhelming difference (You can by Prime meat at an expected premium.)

I like the store and the staff, it is on my 'For Shopping' list.
