Bank Street Cafe

My Mom and I went to Bank Street today for lunch. We ordered the fried mac and cheese bite appetizers. They were cooked perfectly and were absolutely delicious. We both ordered the Cajun bowtie pasta dish and it was the perfect blend of spicy and creamy. The chicken in this dish was hard to cut and gave the appearance that it had been overcooked. However, to our delight and surprise, the chicken was cooked perfectly! Additionally, I ordered the cheesy grits. This is the only food that could have used improvement, but restaurant grits, after growing up on a Southern woman’s grits, are hardly ever worth the competition. These definitely needed more salt, cheese, and flavor, but when scooped up on the fork prior to adding a bite of the pasta, they ended up complementing the pasta perfectly!
Our waitress was a delight-cheery, friendly, and prompt.

This is my second time coming here, the first I was able to enjoy their grits but they were out today which was unfortunate. That being said, I was introduced to their peppadews or pepadews? I'm unsure how to spell it, but they are cheese stuffed red peppers that are battered and fried. The sauce they come with is perfection. As you can see I could not even wait to snap a photo. I cannot wait to come back and devour more of them. Be sure to ask for Lindsay, she was quite wonderful!

This steet-side Cafe was an absolute delight. We had heard they had good food, and that was so true! Griffin downtown is a cute place to visit, but this little restaurant just added to the wonderful atmosphere of the city center. It's a bit pricey, but the food was worth it. I had the almond crusted trout. Very tasty!

In house made crab cakes need I say more. Pepperjack Mac n cheese fritters are also delicious. Good live music and a cool loft bar atmosphere. I highly recommend!

Great little place that does some killer burgers and a good assortment on the menu. Good beer selection and friendly staff. Lovely cigar lounge next door for dessert.

Met a friend for lunch. We both decided a couple of the appetizers sounded good. So we ordered the spicy fried cauliflower and the pimento cheese egg rolls. I'm not usually so adventurous when it comes to food, but man oh man, we were so pleased with our choice. Both were DELICIOUS! Can't wait to go back and try the fried bologna sandwich. 🤗

Great little cafe. We came here for lunch, and enjoyed the experience quite a lot. The inside is a former bank, and maintained several of the former bank interior, including the vault, which makes the interior very quaint and inviting. The menu has some stuff that you would expect, and some nice surprises. I would highly recommend giving them a shot if you’re in the area.

We enjoyed a nice meal here. Cozy place. Good drinks. Food was delicious and prompt.

My husband and I love absolutely love going here for a lunch date throughout the week. Their food is always top notch. Their wait staff is always friendly. The atmosphere at lunch is lively, but not too lively. Friday nights they have live music, but I prefer the quite of a mid day meal here.

We ordered the french dip, burger with bacon jam and some adult beverages. Everything was great and we will definitely come back.

Great food! Great service! Worth checking out! Try the Rueben. This is an additional review ...... they change up the menu so don’t come back thinking you can get the same thing. My son and I came back to find that the food we loved was no longer available. It was especially disappointing since it was my sons 18 th birthday and he came here expecting to get his favorite burger

Was my girlfriend's first visit. She was very impressed. Food was good, server very attentive, and the live music was excellent! Will be back again.

Food is always good as we have eaten here for around 10 years. Servers are friendly and attentive. While I enjoy the music on the weekends the volume is so that it allows for very little dinner conversation.

First time here and boy was it delicious. The pimento cheese appetizer was absolutely amazing. I ordered the smoked gouda cheeseburger and it was phenomenal as well. Drink prices very reasonable. Wish I could remember our server/bartenders name she serves guest upstairs as well as manages the bar she was great. Will definitely return here in the future. Dinner and drinks around $64 very pleased

The food was great. I enjoyed the crab cakes and the pimento cheese egg roll appetizer. Our service was a little slow because there was only one person working our floor and she did an excellent job. She was friendly and courteous. I will go back and eat here again in the future. I posted some pictures of the menu because I didn't find one only anywhere.

Great place to unwind and hear some live music! Food was great but best of all they had Voodoo Ranger 1985 mango Ipa!

Food was excellent! Had the fried pepper and goat cheese appetizer and the shrimp and grits. So good. Would definitely return for the food...but not for the hospitality. Every staff member encountered on our visit was severely lacking in that aspect. We were treated like we were a burden and instead of being able to enjoy our lunch on such a nice Friday afternoon, we felt like we were in their way even though they were not busy for a while after we sat down. Not sure we would return after this.

Wonderful place overall. Great one of a kind atmosphere! People are amazing!
