Café Madeleine Bakery and Wine

We went on a rainy day with in October… what a wonderful day to stop at a Parisian Cafe! The food, waitstaff, and ambiance was excellent! 5 stars! We will be back!!

This place is so perfect! The atmosphere combined with the menu selection had me swooning right off the bat, and to top it all off the service was very friendly and welcoming. I had a wonderful lunch experience here with friends, but would definitely come back for a date with the hubby too. I ordered the ‘charcuterie on ciabatta’ sandwich and the bread was fresh out of the oven and still warm when it arrived to the table! The coffee is delicious. This is the kind of place that makes you forget what time it is or the thousand to-do’s on your list for the rest of the day; a little oasis or mini-vacay if you will.

True French Pastries! Special locally blended coffee and lunch items make this a must stop to or from Greenville. Farmville is a wonderful destination day trip and this cafe makes it a perfect day trip. The staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is true French cafe.

A small gem in Farmville. Had macarons, eclair and fruit tart and all of them were amazing. Madeleine Bakery is one of the best bakeries in Greenville area IMO. Worth to visit. I will definitely be back.

This place is amazing. The food and employees are awesome. There are not many tables, so don't expect fast. I definitely recommend it.

Absolutely delicious but never open!

I have literally stopped by on at least 7 occasions when a bakery would normally be open - and when their hours say they will be... and they're closed. So, don't plan your trip around this cafe, just be glad if they happen to be open when you're in town.

If you are traveling the I95 corridor and looking for an amazing place to stop at (travel time permitting) look no further. This quaint little town is incredible but this bakery is AMAZING! Well worth the trip off the interstate. I had spinach/feta croissant with the tomato soup and was super impressed. I took almost 1 of each pastry with me for the rest of my trip. I’ll definitely making this a regular stop back and forth from Fl and NJ.

Update 3 years later --- it's still here and still just as I remembered. But oh my, the Blueberry Cheesecake Danish is worth every single calorie. If passing by, please make the stop, this locally business is a must visit!!!

2021 review --- Perfect place for a quick friendly bite or a quiet relaxing coffee or wine. It was right around the corner from where I stayed, and on the 2nd day they immediately recognized me and remembered little facts about me from the day before. Phenomenal food with the service to match. Must try the corn salad!! I loved it all!

The baked goods are exquisite and unique to anything else you can find in this area. They have a wonderfully talented baker who cares deeply about the quality of what is produced.

This cafe’ is well worth a trip to Farmville for enjoying a breakfast or lunch with a friend. I recommend sitting to enjoy the cafe’, but if you are in a rush simply call ahead and they’ll have it ready for you to pickup.

A gem of a Cafe were the quality of the food always surpasses my expectations. Treat yourself to a slice of European magic!

wine tastings here are not too be missed. charcuterie plate is the best and large enough to carry you through all the samples.

Delicious ! Nice atmosphere. Had a great early Father's Day breakfast. Staff made us feel at home . Everyone agreed to return soon.

If you want a good croissant then here's the place, I really like their food and their prices might be a little high but I think it's definitely worth it!

My second time today...coffee, croissant, baguette, and tomato bisque were amazing!!

We were driving back from the coast and longing for a french patisserie in the middle of rural NC. I googled "croissant near me" and up popped Cafe Madeleine. We take a short detour and walk into a magickal moment. We are so warmly welcomed by the owner and invited to celebrate their new amazing espresso machine. We order lattes and butter croissants. I get to appreciate the gender neutral restoom. Our drinks are crafted with so much love by a sparkly barista. The croissants are fine and I mean Fine... flaky and delicious like a buttery mouth orgasm. This place is not to missed.

The food is absolutely amazing. I've never had anything there that I didn't like. The macarons are wonderful and her croissants taste just like the ones I had in France. My personal favorite is the morning bun. The service is great and everyone is very friendly. They really seem to appreciate your business.

I would like to add, that we bought our son's 21st birthday cake here at Cafe' Madeleine Bakery and Wine and it was awesome! Was the icing on the cake literally for our son's birthday that was celebrated during odd times of this year of 2002. Thankful for this!
