American Cremation did an amazing job with my son's funeral service. Everyone was so helpful and guided me with everything that I needed to do. I was very happy with everything that they did and truly appreciated Harry and his staff being understanding and having a listening ear. This is a really nice funeral home.

The staff at American Cremation were wonderful during a most difficult time. They were very accommodating and professional with us. We chose a traditional funeral for our loved one and used their chapel for the service. Most important, they did not "nickel and dime" us like other mortuary's I have used in Durham. Every thing we asked for was provided in a timely manner. The entire service was very beautiful. They are very affordable and I plan to use them for "pre planning" for myself. The memory blanket was a very nice touch. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The staff are warm and very accommodating. I’ve eulogized at least (3) people at their Chapel; their facilities we adequate for family and guests. Warm and clean environment.

This is my second time using this funeral home. They did a great job for my husband Mickey today. The funeral director was a gem. I forget her name, but the dark skin lady was great to work with both times I have used this funeral home. I don't wish to have to do business with them again, but I appreciate the care and respect they gave us. I love the blanket they made for my husband. Thank you for being "GREAT"!!

They are the nicest and respectable people. They helped me when my mom died 2yrs ago at hospice in durham. They came to get her and the gentleman gave me all the time I needed to say goodbye. I would recommend them to anyone. They did everything for me and all I needed to do was sign papers. They handled the payment the life insurance and everything. Thank you all for your help and kindness through such a hard time.

I recently attended a memorial service at this place of business. I was very impressed with the large comfortable facilities and clean atmosphere presented.
The professionals here are top notch, accommodating and welcoming.

Our son died suddenly nine months ago and I can't remember a lot that happened that first week, but I do know how kind and professional American Cremation and Funeral Service was. The compassion and patience for my husband and I was needed while we had to decide on things we never thought we'd ever have to think about. Can't recommend this place enough.

My daughters chose this crematory after phone calls with others in the Triangle area. Their gut instinct was spot on! The compassion and concerns were real. I don’t remember everyone’s name at this point, but they went beyond my expectations. Because I was going to travel with my husband’s ashes, I found out that my original urn could have issues going through the TSA checkpoint. I called them and explained the issue and they accommodated me with a very short turnaround. I can’t thank them more for all their help!

A good friend's father passed away. As the next of kin, she is the one who made the arrangements. Her father was cremated and a portion of his remains were to be shipped to her and the remainder interred locally. She also paid for a copy of the death certificate (which isn't inexpensive). None of this happened. And they are not taking steps to fix the situation. They failed, they should fix. It is understandable that mistakes happen, however - failing to fix mistakes is a huge failure. Especially when you are dealing with people during a time of loss.

This establishment recently handled the cremation of a US Airforce Veteran. His NOK is a US Navy Veteran. She chose this establishment based on reputation as she lives in another state. She paid for them to send her a bit of his ashes and a death certificate. They didn't do it. It took her an inordinate amount of time to get a response back from them. They told her "they forgot." Forget to follow through with a paid for service? That is a contract dear readers. She is still awaiting the refund and a copy of the death certificate that she needs in order to deal with his estate. Now, we can understand that people are human and mistakes happen; BUT.. where is the COMPASSION and GENUINE REMORSE from this FH to this man's daughter? She has nothing to help her through the grieving process. I am asking that the FH DO THE RIGHT THING and go through the process to get her a bit of her Father's ashes. It is the right and proper thing to do. The attitude of "I forgot" is not indicative of the high level of customer service and solid reputation of this FH. Again, I call on you to do the right thing and be better to this man's daughter.

The staff made comments to someone about my family that was rude disrespectful and not true! It was very hurtful to hear what they were saying behind our backs. That was very Unprofessional
