ACC American Café

Don’t sleep on the salmon. It was delicious. Terminal one doesn’t have a lot of options but the staff here are sweet and neat :) I don’t eat the wings but someone next to me enjoyed them and a yummy salad.

Stopped by the ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference) American Café, an HMS Host themed restaurant highlighting local college sports.

This restaurant is located in the Southwest Airlines ✈ terminal right next to Gate 7 and convienently across from the restrooms. Due to Covid, orders are now taken from your mobile phone.

I had the ACC burger with the suit potatoe fries. The burger came with lettuce and tomato, and some onion crisps. As they say in the movie, "It was a real tasty burger". 🍔

When we want to travel we often forget about the experience of issues that affect our travel plans and that's when the shops in the airport concourse are our only escape.  We were lucky enough to sit down at this spot where there were a few travelers having coffee and even more with drinks. I assumed any place with early day drinking with double shots if Tequila can't be half bad.
First, I found the bartender was friendly and helpful.  We only wanted coffee, and she requested us to wait to brew fresh coffee, which I was impressed with.
She brought the coffee out while we were looking at menus, and it was very much appreciated.  I'm not saying it's the top of the line coffee, but it was fresh and hot.
The announcement came over that our flight was delayed another hour, so we had breakfast.
Our meals were good, and the associates were keeping it together even while the bar was filling up with disgruntled customers.
The bartenders were keeping it clean and keeping travelers happy, and I was impressed.
Yeah, you have to deal with the annoying delays of travel, but at least you can deal with it at a place that makes you feel welcome, and don't try to shove you out the door.

Had a Ceasar salad and chicken club sandwich and a Shiner Bock. Tasted very well, but expensive. But hey, it is in the airport and that is the way it is.

For an airport restaurant, this place takes the cake. The hummus wrap was very filling and had a lot of flavor. My husband had the turkey burger which was great but the fries were just okay.

Yes, the waiters are overworked but if you are nice to them they will make every effort to help you. Worth the stop!

Really good for airport fare. Paying a premium for food at an airport is awful if the food doesn't meet a premium standard. The steak and blue sandwich is awesome! Varied menu, lots of options. Try the sweet potato fries and "herbed mayo" on any sandwich. Super flavorful. The tomato relish is like a chunky marinara sauce, it lends a nice balance to the herbed mayo on a sandwich. It's pretty much the only option if you want a drink at the Southwest terminal (A). Surprisingly good for airport fare.

We had time and decided on a sit down breakfast. The ACC American Cafe was right next to our gate. He ordered classic breakfast. Two eggs, spicy sausage, potatoes and biscuit. Eggs were perfectly fried over easy. The sausage a bit spicy, but not overly. The potatoes and biscuit were fresh and hot.
I had the avocado toast. I order this whenever it’s available. This was the best I had ever had. Rustic bread, topped with seasoned avocado, then crispy bacon pieces. The over the top goodness was fresh pico, grilled shrimp and kale with a wonderful dressing. Scrumptious!
Our server, Karen, was friendly and efficient. It was an excellent experience! We visit RDU often. We will be back!

Bethlehem was the shining star of my visit here while waiting for my plane. The roasted mushroom pizza was great, pricey. But it is an airport.

The drinks are great and the service is quick and friendly. Ryan is a great in the mornings followed by Aida in the afternoons. And, sometimes you get lucky on Tuesdays and the infamous Gary is behind the bar!

Y’all. We got here at 5am. The food was good. It was hot. It was fresh. The music was 🔥 and shoutout to Karen and the Chef.

Had a omelet wirh spinach , kale peppers and caramelize onions and home fries.

Great hot Buffalo Shrimp!

Service was great. I ordered the cheese burger. It was one of the best burgers I have ever had.
